Want to change share everything plan, but have a conundrum.

I went into a Verizon store a couple of months ago to buy a smartphone. First time dealing with Verizon so they ask me what I am looking for and what kind of data I want to be allowed. After telling them what I wanted (unlimited talk and text, 1GB of data) they offer, "Since you are signing for a 2 year contract we have a promotion going on that you can get a free tablet (Elipsis) and 1GB of data per month for life." I thought, "Hey sounds good" right? So I went with that deal. I got a S4 with 1GB and the tablet on the share everything plan for $90 a month. After a a couple of months I saw my tablet used roughly a total of 10MB in those two months. So I decided I really didn't need it. I decided then to drop my data down to 250MB a month and still keep my 1 GB, so I thought. By selecting that I was informed I would lose my data promotion. Ok, Let's see what else I can do. I call Verizon to see about their single line plans for 1GB. They said if I wanted to go that route I would have to pay $165 for an early termination fee for the tablet line. So now I am left to either lose my data promotion for the tablet and still end up paying the $10 a month line fee, or pay $165 to cancel that line to get the single line plan. I don't see how how I can be charged the termination fee for a device I was given for free along with the data and for them to take away the promotional data because I want to lower the data on my share everything plan. The single line plan I am looking at is $60 a month and to drop the data on my share everything plan along with the 1Gb promotional data it would come to $65 (If I was allowed to do that). Seems kind of unfair to me.

Hiker_Dude, we want you to take advantage of the best deals on our network. The tablet device was offered for free with a two year agreement. Do you remember signing the two year contractual agreement? Additionally, a letter confirmation was also sent to your billing address that confirmed these changes on your account, as well. As a result, if you cancel that line before the contract expires, the Early Termination fee would be valid.
Is there any other particular reason why you no longer want the tablet? Do you know of anyone that would be willing to assume responsibility of that line. http://vz.to/1tqix6n We offer other MORE Everything plans that will fit your needs http://vz.to/1lwOwRQ

iOS does not support multiple users like a desktop OS does.
You can use a web interface to your respective email accounts
to keep things separate; but there is no provision for otherwise

When you use the Lion restore as described, it does a fresh install on the hard drive that you can select at the beginning of the process.  This provides a complete install of the very latest version of Lion, including the recovery partition.  The drive that you choose for the installation destination winds up like what you would have on a brand new computer from Apple.

Ah.   I understand now.   I suspect it is the technical problem that the money keeps the account alive.
Go to  http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/  - and click on Express lane followed by iTunes > iTunes store.   Explain to them and see if they will help you raise a new account.

  • I have a question about the new share everything plan.

    Hi,
I have a question of the cost of the new share everything plan. I looked at the options and prices for different phones. Next to smartphone it says 40 dollars, next to basic phone it says 30 dollars etc etc. Does that include the unlimited texts, and minutes? If so, how much would this plan cost for 2 smart phones and one basic phone with the unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, and 2gb of data cost per month?
    Thanks!

yeah, the line access fee (40 for smartphones, 30 for basic, etc) includes unlimited talk/text and access to the pooled data allowance. It would be $170/month before insurance and taxes and fees for the 2GB plan($60), 2 smartphones ($40*2) and a basic phone ($30)

  • How do I add an existing iPad to my Share Everything plan?

I recently converted my family's five iPhones to Share Everything.  We also have five iPads, and I'd like to add them to the plan.  Right now, they all have separate data plans that were created from the device.  How do I move the data plan to my Share Everything?  Thanks.

My girlfriend and I just switched over to the Share Everything plan. We each have an iphone and an ipad. I have an ipad with LTE, she has an iPad 2.
We were able to do the account merging for the phones over the phone with Verizon - it was a little unpleasant and had a lot of holding and multiple attempts before it worked.
When it came time to add our ipads, we couldn't seem to do it via the website, so we went to the store. We used one here in Astoria, Queens (NYC) on Steinway. They were knowledgable and fast. After hearing so many horror stories I was really nervous - but they ran through everything very very quickly and easily.
They *only* had to swap the SIM card in my iPad (with LTE) - with hers, they did not. They deactivated our accounts on their computer, swapped my SIM card out for me, sat around for a few minutes while we waited for everything to register - and boom, done. Didn't charge us anything for the SIM. 20 minutes tops.
It's $10 each per month for the ipads, we're actually saving a pretty huge chunk of change, and working with a larger data bucket, so good deal so far.
It's weird now that if I go to the "cellular data" portion of my ipad it says "You cannot manage this plan on this device, call this number instead..."

  • Ok so I was talked into switching to a new iphone 5 and loosing my current grandfathered unlimited data on my Iphone 4 and being talked into using the share everything plan.

So I switched to a share everything plan based on the recommendations of a sales rep.  he told me I was using less than 2 gigs of data on my phone. So I upgrade my phone and switch plans.  my biggest complaint is I asked how much for each line and I was told about the smart phones and then I have a non smart phone that I am now being charged $30 per month for.  This phone uses no data and maybe sends a text message about once every month.  I was paying $9.99 for the phone previously.  And somehow I used more than 10 gb of data, when the rep did the analysis he said 8 was ideal.  Last month I had an overage of $45 dollars and went over 10 GB.   Not sure how any of this is better Verizon.   I upgraded to the 10 GB of data plan for more money thinking it was going to take care of the problem, but 7 days before my billing cycle was over.  I turned off my hotspot completely and told my husband he could only text and use the phone for calls.  no internet or apps. I did the same. I don't understand how we could possibly be using so much more data now we have switched to this new share everything plan.  Now what is frustrating is I can't even look up my bill and its 3 days after my billing cycle. I want to know if I am going to have another overage because of the tracking usage issue.  What gives Verizon?   You used to be so good.  I have been a customer with this company before it was Verizon and stayed because I have never had a problem.  Speaking of the non smart phone I am now paying an arm and a leg for...  that phone where its located in the state didn't have service for almost 3 days.  They said lightning hit a tower but it was fixed.  Crappy job of fixing in my opinion.  Do I get a rebate for the 3 days of no service and the sketchy service before that?   Man This makes me so frustrated.  I want to pay the outrageous cancellation fee and just be without internet and get a pay as you go phone from Walmart.  Come on Verizon step up your game.  Are you really getting to big to care about giving your customers good plans for a decent price?

You have fallen for the great Verizon Wireless Lie, most customers don't use over 2Gb and its a better plan, and unlimited is unsustainable yada yada yada.
However your choices were getting new devices for cheap so if you paid full price for your device at $700 each, you would have kept unlimited and paid no $30 upgrade fee. Per line.
Now add up the additional cost of that data usage and it is way over the cost of what paying full price would have cost you.
and being in a contract with an early termination fee it all adds up.
Verizon claims unlimited data is unsustainable, but you can see its sustainable only when you get charged mucho bucks in $10-$15 overages per GB.
    Good Luck

  • Will I be able to upgrade ever again without being forced onto a Share Everything plan?

I just got off the phone with customer service and I'm seriously hoping they were wrong about the upcoming changes. I currently have a family plan with 4 smartphones, and have determined that the new plans will increase my bill by about $50 a month, for less data. I am not interested in the new plans at all, and feel they are a huge insult to all but a small portion of the customer base (but I digress, that's not my question).
Anyway, after trying to convince me that I'd be getting a better deal by increasing my monthly bill by $50 (seriously) they told me that ANY upgrade performed after 6/28 would force my entire account (all 4 lines) onto the new plan. This is not a question of unlimited data vs capped data. My question is: will we be able to upgrade lines and at least keep the 2GB $30 plan in the future? If anyone can provide any details on this question I would greatly appreciate it.

I have an unlimited data plan on my account. Do I need to change it?
You're not required to move to Share Everything but if you do, unlimited data will not be retained on your line. As a Verizon Wireless customer you have choices when you upgrade at discounted pricing. You can choose from a standalone data package starting at $30 for 2GB or a Share Everything Plan. If keeping unlimited is important to you, you can choose to upgrade and pay full retail price for the phone.

  • Can't add phone to my share everything plan?

So when I go to add a phone it says "One of the selected devices requires a Share Everything Plan.  The current account-level plan does not support this device." I currently have just a hot spot and am switching from Sprint to Verizon but I'm not adding a whole seperate data plan to do so. Any help on this issue would be much appreciated.

I would suggest calling customer service or going to a corporate store. You might be able to get the Nationwide plan since you are technically an existing customer. Otherwise you can bundle the new device and the hotspot into the Share Everything plan.

  • Can I combine a new individual account with an existing share everything plan?

My wife, son, and myself are on a share everything plan. Pepco installed a new electric meter yesterday, and when they restarted the power it apparently fried my phone, which was plugged in at the time. I'm not due for an upgrade until late next year and don't have a warranty. Best Buy is apparently about to offer a free Razr Maxx HD with new account activations, but is it then possible to transfer the new account over to our existing share everything plan?

I really sorry to hear about your phone, Seems! That's a pretty bizarre situation. I can confirm that you have the option to add a line to your account and use the new phone on your current number. Please keep in mind that this will leave you with an extra line that will have a two year contract term. I trust that this resolves your concerns. Have a great day!
