Want to change this calendar

I really hate the calendar on this 4.5 version. My phone is the Curve 8330. What can I do to change the way the calendar displays? It has spacing between the times which is very annoying to me.

Hi Berry! I purchased the pocketinformant for my calendar - that is the only way I know to change it. I can switch to month view, week view or daily....

I want to change my calendars...

I am lazy... well, not really, but I am looking for the lazy way to do this:
I have been pretty good about organizing my calendars so that I have a separate one for work, home, social, medical, church, family, and other random types of events. This is great...
BUT
I have 2 separate computers that I use, and I don't have .mac, so I can't really sync them like that. What I want to do is transfer the new items from one of my computers to the other one, but I don't want a bunch of duplicates. I am therefore trying to create a calendar that has all of the events I have created in the past month so I can take them home and put them on my computer there. I have been selecting each event and selecting this new calendar, but I was wondering if anyone had figured out a way to either drag and drop events into a calendar, or when multiple events are selected (using the event list) move all of the selected events to a different calendar. I suppose that I can take the time to go through one by one... but it is such a pain.
So, if anyone else has either had this problem or knows how to solve it, I would like to hear from you!
This is one of the only features I miss from the short time I used outlook... dragging and dropping events into categories and the ability to schedule meetings online and have the details automatically be entered into the calendar. It looks like there may be support for this in the new mail/ ical, but I haven't figured it out yet...

Hi Liz,
You could select all the events you want, and then Control-Click one of them. This opens a contextural menu. One of the options in this menu is Calendar. You can change the calendar of all the selected events in one go from here.

When I ope my mail in gmail. I click on a link to open a new tab and show me what ever it is I've just clicked on....Firefox won't just load the page like it did before I upgraded to this latest version. It says: Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page. and asks me to allow. I allow.
How can I tell firefox that if I have clicked on a link, I want to view it. That seems intuitive enough. I don't want to allow every time. I do this all day~

The setting in "Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.

Dreamweaver MX image "open with FW" option opens FWMX want to change this to FWMX2004

I have the old Studio MX (FW, DW etc), and I also have a copy of fireworks 2004,
When i am using dreamweaver MX and want to edit an image on a site and i double click on the image it opens fireworks MX, i want it to open Fireworks MX 2004, now i can get it to open in Fireworks MX2004 by right clicking on the image and selecting "open with" and then navigating to the fireworks MX2004 folder to open it, which is a bit of a hassle,
Is there someway to get it to open in Fireworks MX 2004 when double clicking?
Obviously i can't afford to upgrade to the newer versions of either programs, (although i will accept donations ), and I would prefer to keep fireworks MX on the machine as back-up just in case mx2004 goes pear shaped.

In Dreamweaver, go to Edit > Preferences > File Types / Editors and edit filetypes that you would like to be opened / edited with Fireworks MX 2004. There are a lot of options available there, and this should do the trick.
There's even an option to specify the path to Fireworks, like:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Fireworks CS4\Fireworks.exe
-- just edit it to match where your copy of Fireworks MX 2004 is, and you're done -- I suppose that in your case, it should be here:
C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Fireworks\
...but I might be wrong -- it's been a long time since I installed anything older than Fireworks CS3...

I need help setting up my daughters iPod. She has been using her iPod touch for 6 months using my ID. This caused a problem now that she is a bit more savvy and has learnt to message and FaceTime. I get her calls and she gets mine. I have set her up her own ID with iCloud but when I go to settings for FaceTime and messaging I can't erase my ID. So the problem is not really solved. She will have to access iTunes through me as she doesn't know my password and any games etc have to pass the mummy test. Can anyone help?

Thanks. I have my iPad on my lap and her iPod in my hand. We can FaceTime each other but it won't let either of us message each other. I know mine is activated as I use it frequently. I have activated hers as well. Maybe I will put it in the too hard basket for tonight, sleep on it and try again tomorrow.

Windows tells me "an unknown program wants to change this computer; windows does not allow firefox updates to complete.

What can i do about this problem? I click "more details" and find out that the 'unknown program' is firefox. I click to install; but windows does not allow the updates to complete. I let the update window run for over an hour one day... it still did not complete.

Check that you do not run Firefox as Administrator. 
Right-click the Firefox desktop shortcut and choose "Properties". 
Make sure that all items are deselected in the "Compatibility" tab of the Properties window. 
* Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" should not be selected 
* "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" should not be selected 
Also check the Properties of the firefox.exe program in the Firefox program directory.

Airdisk shows as Server: afp:// How do I change this to smb://?

My HFS+ formatted Seagate 2 TB hard drive shows as an afp server and not a smb server. I want to change this so I can share files and access them from my WDTV Live streaming media player. The WDTV only has the options of smb/ctif or nfs.
How can I change this drive to present itself as a smb server and not a afp server. Currently it appears as afp://<airportname>.afpovertcp.local/2TB_NW_drive
Where 2TB_NW_drive is the name I've called the drive.

Hi William. Yes it's connected to the Airport Extreme base station.
When I look at the 'Get Info' of the hardrive via the Mac it shows as
"Server: afp://<airport_name>/.afpovertcp.local/2TB_NW_drive". The folders on this hdd show as folders off this drive ie. afp://<airport_name>/.afpovertcp.local/2TB_NW_drive/<folder_name.
I'm attempting to access this drive via WiFi from my WD TV Live Streaming Media Player and I'm guessing that the WD does not see this as an SMB server so therefore ignores it. My thinking (which could be wrong) is that if this drive were to appear as smb://<airport_name>... then the WD will see it and the folders within, as an smb server. WD TV supports SMB or NFS only.
(BTW I can access the HDD from the WD if it's directly connected to my Mac, however the Mac connects Wifi to the AEBS so there are dual Wifi paths. Connecting the HDD to the AEBS direct means there's only one path and potentially better streaming capabilities.)

You can't merge accounts, if you start using the gmail account for iCloud by logging out of the me ID in system preferences and back in using the gmail ID, you'll need to copy all your data in calendars etc to the gmail account. you also won't be able to use the me address for mail unless you add the me account as a secondary account at system preferences > mail, contacts and calendars.

Bad idea.
What information do you want to share, exactly? You can share contacts, reminders, and calendars with other iCloud users without the need for both of you to use the same iCloud account. You can authorize both phones to use apps purchased under the same Apple ID without sharing an iCloud account.
Sharing an iCloud account is a bad idea in general. There is too much opportunity for someone to damage or delete data that will affect both.

@Naiks, having suffered through unsuccessful synching attempts for Calendar and Contacts myself, l would suggest you try the following:
UNINSTALL iCloud control panel from your PC. Seems silly, but do it.
Go into Outlook, and look at the very top menu. Click FILE, then ACCOUNT SETTINGS, then click the popup box.
You will see a list of all your email accounts. Make sure that ONE of them has a checkmark against it. If not, select the account your want as your default, and click "set as default.
Exit out of Outlook and reboot your machine.
Now reinstall iCloud, check CALENDAR and CONTACTS, and do as instructed when prompted.
Reboot for good luck and now launch OUTLOOK. All that remains is to locate your iCloud Contacts and Calendar files, and make them your default.
IMPORTANT: Don't panic if you can't find your contacts -- they're there. Click CONTACTS and you'll see you have several available contact files. Locate the one label "iCloud" in grey type. Right-click on it, select PROPERTIES, then click the Outlook Address Book tab. Check the box that says something like "Make this my default Outlook Address Book." Keep clicking "apply" and "okay" until you've exited out of the dialog box maze.
You may have to do something similar with your Calendar files. I dd not, but if you need to, do it.
Everything should now sync pretty seamlessly.
I didn't have the exact same problem as you, but my dilemma was close enough. Good luck!

Is your phone still covered by warranty? If so, go to your nearest Apple store and depending on what happened, this may or may not be covered by warranty. If it is, then you can get a replacement exactly as the phone you already have.
If out of warranty, then there is nothing you can do and you'll have to pay.
