Want to configure SAP Library

Hi  Experts,
I want to configure SAP Library  I had downloaded Library files too, one is of CHM and other one is of HTML. I wanted this file to be available in my SAP Library OFFLINE on server insted of online, so the persone who is not using internet in my LAN can also be able to access those files. So please help me to configure this CHM files.
Regards,
Prashant Chauhan

hi prashanth,
1. Create folder for the installation, e.g. G:\documentation.
2. Start sapinst.exe from the installation master DVD or from ur dump.
3. In SAPinst you have to give the language folder on the Documentation DVD,
e.g. G:\ADM110_62A\Installation Media (DVDs)\SAP ECC 6.04\SAP ECC60
SP14 Documentation\HTMLHELP\EN.
4. Wait some minutes until the installation has finished and close SAPinst.
5. Now you can open the SAP Library by double clicking on <local
folder>\HTMLHELP\<Language>\00000001.chm.
this might help you
thanks and regards,
santosh.

As I wrote, you can use any SNC provider. Especially Secude would be interesting, as it is available on all platforms.

This is a completely different approach: In the stuff I was writing to you before I was assuming that IIS would do the authentication. The other approach is that SAP Portal does it. This also works - EP 5.0 should be fine - but it works completely different. E.g. you doesn't need a trusted connection for SSO with MYSAPSSO2 ticket.

This DLL is not allowed to be exported into some countries because it contains strong cryptography. You usually get it via your local SAP subsiduary.

Did you find a MYSAPSSO2 cookie in the request?

Hi Gurus, Thanks for the reply. In my case i cannot configure the HTMLHELPFIle type. I have found a note related to that. The CHM file cannot be open through shared folder for some reason. Since there are users working on the server i dont want to restart or made any changes on the operating system. i decided to install and configure the PlainHTML file type and its works fine.
Note 920997 - Help files (.chm) cannot be opened through Shared Folder
So to resolve the problem i have installed the PlainHTML type and it's working fine.
    Thank you.

  • How to install and configure SAP Router

    Dear SAP Expert !
I want to install SAP Router but i dont know the SAP router package is allocated on DVD ? what is the DVD number ?
If you already configure SAP router please let me know how to configure ?

    Hello Thao
what is th exact issue that are u facing.
The account must be the administartor of the machine where u are installing SAPROUTER.Make sure you are following the correct steps as follows:
Downloading necessary software components from SAP Service Marketplace
    1. Login to the SAP Service Marketplace with the Service Marketplace at using
the USERID/PASSWORD which was assigned for your installation.
    2. Change the alias to www.service.sap.com/tcs to downloaded the SAP
cryptographic software. Select the correct SAPcrptographic software
depending on your saprouter operating system as shown below.
    3. You must have the sapcar.exe in order to extract the SAP cryptographic
    software file.
    4. With the command of u201Csapcar -xvf xxxxxxx.saru201D, /ntintel directory would be
created and the following files would be extracted.
    (Example C:/saprouter/ntintel)
( when the Microsoft Windows NT Intel version is downloaded)
    C:/saprouter/ntintel/sapcrypto.dll
    C:/saprouter/ntintel/sapgenpse.exe
    C:/saprouter/ticket
    Issue of Electronic Certificate
    5. It is necessary to define the environment variable for u201CSECUDIRu201D and
    u201CSNC_LIBu201D under system account.
Window NT environment variable setup :
Right-clicked the icon of you computer
Property -> details -> environment variable
    SECUDIR = < Directory name >
    Example. Variable name : SECUDIR
    Variable value
    : C:/saprouter/SNC_LIB = < Directory name >
    Example. Variable name : SNC_LIB
    Variable value : C:/saprouter/ntintel/sapcrypto.dll
    UNIX
    <path_to_libsecude>/<name_of_sapcrypto_library>
    Windows
    NT,
    <drive>:/<path_to_libsecude>/<name_of_sapcrypto_library>
    Windows
    2000
    6. Check if the environment of the user running saprouter contains the
    environment variable SNC_LIB.
    UNIX
    Printenv
    Windows NT
    System environment Variable
    7. You may now apply for a SAProuter certificate from the SAP Trust Center
    Service of SAP service marketplace
    http://service.sap.com/tcs
    > SAP Trust Center Service in Detail
    > SAProuter Certificates
    SAProuter Certificate "Apply Now"
    Click the button.
    8. Please take note of your "Distinguished Name"
Please refer to the example above
    -SAPRouter Name
    : JPL50020586
    -Distinguished Name
    CN=JPL50020586, OU=0000036946, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE
    Then, clicked the "Continue" button.
    9. Execute the following command in the /saprouter/ntintel
directory in order to generate your certificate to be exchanged with SAP.
    sapgenpse get_pse -v -r certreq -p local.pse "Distinguished Name"
    Example
    sapgenpse get_pse u2013v -r certreq -p local.pse "CN=JPL50020586, OU=0000036946,
    OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE"
Enter the PIN number. (you may enter any PIN Number you wish.)
    Please enter PIN :
    Please re-enter PIN :
<- you must use the same PIN Number as the above.
    10. The "certreq" file is created in the /saprouter/ntintel directory.
    11. Use a notepad to open the "certreq" file and copy the displayed information
(From the -BEGIN .to the END -)
12.You now have to paste the above copy content into the space provided
shown below. After you have pasted the text, click the u201CRequest certificateu201D
    button to submit your request.
    13. Once you click on the u201CRequest Certificateu201D a new screen will be displaying
your certificate issued by SAP CA (Certification Authority).
    14. Using a notepad to copy the content (From u2013Beingu2026 to -END) and save it
    as u201Csrcertu201D into /saprouter/ntintel/srcert.
    Note :
    - Please rename srcert.txt into srcert without any extension.
    15. You then need to import this certificate into SAProuter using the following
    command.
    Please run on /saprouter/ntintel directory.
    sapgenpse import_own_cert -c srcert -p local.pse
Please enter PIN : (same as point 9)
    16. Execute the following command in the /saprouter/ntintel directory.
    sapgenpse seclogin -p local.pse
Please enter PIN : (same as point 9)
This will create a file "cred_v2" in the same directory.
    17. Please check whether the certificate has been imported correctly.
Execute this command in /saprouter/ntintel directory.
    sapgenpse get_my_name -v -n Issuer
    The result should be "CN=SAProuter CA, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE".
    18. When the above results are not obtained , please delete local.pse and
cred_v2 and work again from steps 9. Please seek the assistance from your
local SAP helpdesk or create an OSS message via component XX-SER-NET-
OSS, if you are not able to obtain the above-mentioned result after you have
    repeated the above steps.
    Route permission table (saprouttab)
    19. The corresponding file ./saprouttab should contain at least the following
    entries.
Example : by SNC connection, when connecting to sapserv2
(194.39.131.34) the following entries need to be indicated by saprouttab.,
    SNC-connection to SAP
    KT "p:CN=sapserv2, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE" 194.39.131.34
SNC-connection from SAP to local R/3-System for Support
    KP "p:CN=sapserv2, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE" <R/3-Server> <R/3-Instance>
SNC-connection from SAP to local R/3-System for pcANYWHERE, if it is needed
    KP "p:CN=sapserv2, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE" <R/3-Server> 5631
SNC-connection from SAP to local R/3-System for NetMeeting, if it is needed
    KP "p:CN=sapserv2, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE" <R/3-Server> 1503
SNC-connection from SAP to local R/3-System for saptelnet, if it is needed
    KP "p:CN=sapserv2, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE" <R/3-Server> 23
Access from the local Network to SAPNet - R/3 Frontend (OSS)
    P <IP-addess of a local PC> 194.39.131.34 3299
    deny all other connections
    D * * *
Start the SAProuter with the following command.
    Saprouter -r -S <port> -K
    "p: <Your Distingiushed Name>"
-K tells the saprouter to start with loading the SNC library.
    Example: saprouter -r -S 3299 u2013K "p:CN=JPL50020586, OU=0000036946,
    OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE"

  • Configuring SAP Provided oData services

    Hi All,
I saw that sap has many pre-delivered many oData services.
SAP NetWeaver Gateway Supported OData Channel Scenarios - SAP NetWeaver Gateway - SAP Library
Has anyone configured them and got to work?
I have a Hub Scenario and see that IW_CNT is a requirement for each of them. Configuration guide says that this is a component to be installed on the HUB server. Does it mean that DPC and MPC are going to be in the HUB for these scenarios? What if I want MPC DPC to be in backend ?
Any experience or comment is welcome.
    Thanks
    Krishna

    Hi Krishna,
Atanu is right. You either need to deploy either IW_CNT on systems prior to 7.40 and IW_FNDGC on 7.40 systems in the Hub.
The services themselves are in maintenance mode and are not developed further. That's why they have been packed in 7.40 in a separate AddOn and are not shipped as part of the 7.40 standard.
This is because we (SAP) do not plan to ship content via SAP NetWeaver Gateway but rather are shipping services as part of complete solutions such as SAP Fiori.
Though the customer can use the services I would recommend to develop your own services instead (the BAPI's hat have been used are listed in the SAP Online Help).
Another option if no development is wished would be to have a look at the applications that we are shipping with SAP Fiori.
    Best Regards,
    Andre

if you can't compile the webutil.pll in your forms developer you need to set the forms_builder_classpath in you windows registry. You have to add the frmwebutil.jar,jacob.jar to the registry key. The configuration files you mention are for running the forms.

  • Want to download SAP GUI

    Hi,
I  have isntalled NWDS CE 7.1 in my system. Now i want to install SAP GUI to practice webdynpro for java. Can anyone tell me where i can download sap gui?
which version is suitable for NWDS 7.1 (Compatible)
    Regards,
    Padmalatha.K

    Hi Matthias,
it is not possible to connect to a CE system via SAP GUI. For administration and configuration use the NetWeaver Administrator http://host:port/nwa. For web application development use the NetWeaver Developer Studio which you need to install on your client machine, for Visual Composer application development you can use the web front end http://host:port/VC.

  • Want to learn SAP PLM

    Hi All,
I have 11 years of experience in Enovia PLM (java based PLM tool) and has good understanding of Engineering Management, Product configuration and Product portfolio management.
I want to improve breadth of my knowledge and want to learn SAP  PLM
Can any of you guide me where to start.
I am currently at Atlanta GA USA Are there any good  online training institutes.
Also please let me know good websites to learn about SAP PLM
    Thanks & Regards
    Murali

    Hi Murali,
There are different ways you can learn SAP PLM:
    1) Easy but costly way is through attending cources run by different SAP Authorized Training Centers. By Training route u will get proper step by step guidance on different PLM functions, but it will have some impact on your pocket.
    2) You can read SAP Help available online. But trust me without assistance its like learning greek.
    3) There are different Presentations available on internet made by consultant for their customer. It would be great first step towards excellence.
Mentioned above are few ways by which you can learn SAP PLM, however the time & understanding level totally depend upon your will to get mastered into it.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Printing SAP Library document on a paper

    Hi,
I'd like to print out the document "SAP Smart Forms (BC-SRV-SSF)" from SAP Library, because I just don't want to read the whole document on a screen.
When I right-click the node "SAP Smart Forms (BC-SRV-SSF)" and select Print target, my browser prints the first page only. I just cannot print the whole document page by page, because printing would take several hours.
Is it possible to print this whole document at all? Or, is there any way to get the document on a paper?
Here is the document itself: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_470/helpdata/en/a9/de6838abce021ae10000009b38f842/frameset.htm
Thanks in advance for your help.

  • License error after configuring sapcrypto library

I'm running ECC 6.0 (IDES).  After configuring SAP for HTTPS using SAPCRYPTO library, I get an "error in license check" when trying to login.  Here are my steps:
    1.Copy SAPCRYPTO.dll to kernel directory
    2. Add these parameters to instance profile:
    ssl/ssl_lib                   E:\usr\sap\NWD\SYS\exe\uc\NTI386\sapcrypto.dll
    sec/libsapsecu            E:\usr\sap\NWD\SYS\exe\uc\NTI386\sapcrypto.dll
    ssf/ssfapi_lib               E:\usr\sap\NWD\SYS\exe\uc\NTI386\sapcrypto.dll
    ssf/name                     SAPSECULIB
    icm/server_port_2         PROT=HTTPS,PORT=8443
    3.  Bounce SAP
When I try to login, I get the error, "Logon not possible (error in license check)"
Has anyone run into this?  Thank you.

Yes... thank you... but i also noticed the response of the user "Srikishan D". Meanwhile we solved the issue.
Our solution is very strange but it works: after the installation we added the parameters in the following order, two by two and doing everytime an istance restart.
    FIRST TIME
    icm/server_port_X = PROT=HTTPS,PORT=<Port number of the HTTPS log>
    icm/HTTPS/verify_client=1
    SECOND TIME
    sec/libsapsecu = <Path and file name of the SAPCRYPTOLIB>
    ssl/ssl_lib = <Path and file name of the SAPCRYPTOLIB>
    THIRD TIME
    ssf/name = SAPSECULIB
    ssf/ssfapi_lib = <Path and file name of the SAPCRYPTOLIB>
After that passage we noticed that the STRUST shows the SSL Server so we have the proof that the CryptoLib was in use.

  • How to configure SAP CCM to a non SAP system

    Hi all,
What should be my landscape if we have to go for an external catalog linked to a non SAP system?
Our requirement is like this :
The customer has nonsap system and they want to go only for catalog content management only for vendors like DELL who maintain products of their own
(external catalogs). i-e., they will create PO from the nonSAP system and will send it to vendor selecting the products from the DELL's website.
How should we go with this? Will SAP CCM support this with XI.
Kindly explain me the following :
What should be my landscape and config?
    Can anyone explain please?
    Regards,
    Sridhar.

    Dear Sridhar,
Firstly - If you customer has a non SAP system and want to use SAP CCM this is not such a viable option as in any case the CCM requires a 640+ web application server to function, while it is an add on solution independant of SRM_SERVER, it is not independant of SAP WEBAS!
So, to use the SAP CCM the customer requires either a satellite location with a SAP WEBAS or their own to host this application. From here, the system would need to be configured and conform to the details in the OCI 4.0 documentation for either XML communication or OCI interface communication, so, I guess, at least from my perspective using a SAP CCM system in conjunction with an external ERP system is not the best option when it may be easier to integrate other catalog solutions into such a setup.
    Regards,
    Jason
