Want to connect an older amplifier to AEX. Input (AUX)data is 200mV. The soundlevel is very low. What is output from AEX? Phono input is 2,5mV and gives too high soundlevel as well as a strange sound(Isuppose some preamp is there)
Anyone to give some good ideas?
The analog output of the AirPort Express is approximately the same as a CD player. It is definitely compatible with a millivolt input. Don't use a phono input.
Make sure the master volume in iTunes is at its maximum setting. Remote speakers can have their own volume setting in iTunes, so check that also:

ast computer i was able to make 3 profiles and run 3 windows. each time it asked for the profile when i wanted to start each window. how can i set that up again
last time some1 set it up for me. i would only have 1 shortcut on my desktop. everytime i clicked on it, it would ask me which profile i wanted. even if i had 1 or 2 of the others open it would still ask me which profile i wanted to open. i want to be able to do it that way again.
yes i already set up the 3 profiles. but once i open up the one profile, and click on the short cut to open another, it just opens a brwser window with the profile in use. so i could open 10 windows, its only 1 profile, the first profile i used.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

If you get/use WiFi only you can get on the web, get mail,text,and use icloud without a new account with ATT; but when out of Wifi coverage you would need an upgraded (ie extra $ ) data account with your phone (ATT in your case) provider.

I open iPhoto, then "Import to Library" ; the connection fails and when I click on "Connect as" up pops this box asking me to "enter your name and password for the server -computer name here-". I suspect that you are using DHCP to distribute ip addresses on you LAN and that the MBP has a different ip address today than it did yesterday. You can find the new ip in the Network pane of System Preferences on the MBP. I can't figure out how to find out what the client thinks the ip of the MBP is, though. ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist contains an entry for the last server connected to, for example, but it doesn't seem to include the ip. I deleted a bunch of obsolete files from ~/Library/Preferences/ByHost recently, though, which might have included this so you might look there.
P.S. Why does it also offer me the option to "Fix Alias" for a network item when all that does is open finder for this computers so I can point it at something on the hard drive?

I have an older Mac mini using SL as my last upgrade and really like it.. Downgrade Lion to Snow Leopard
1. Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU and return to the installer. Install Snow Leopard.
This will erase the whole drive so be sure to backup your files if you don't have a backup already. If you have performed a TM backup using Lion be aware that you cannot restore from that backup in Snow Leopard (see below.) I suggest you make a separate backup using Carbon Copy Cloner 3.4.1.
If you have Snow Leopard Time Machine backups, do a full system restore per #14 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions. If you have subsequent backups from Lion, you can restore newer items selectively, via the "Star Wars" display, per #15 there, but be careful; some Snow Leopard apps may not work with the Lion files. -
Outgoing TCP connections from VM have very low firewall state idle timeout -- how do you adjust?
When I create a TCP connection from a VM to the internet, if I'm idle for more than a few minutes (say a SSH session), the TCP flow is torn down by some AZURE networking element in between.
Incoming connections from the internet in don't seem to be affected.
I assume this is an Azure firewall timeout somewhere.

[1] - You can make sure the TCP connection is not idle. To keep your TCP connection active you can keeping sending some data before 60 seconds passes. This could be done via chunked transfer encoding; send something or you can just send blank lines to keep
the connection active.

I have created a universe UNX on top of a sql table. and i used this UNX via query browser to create a dahsboard. when i run this dashboard with "administrator" the dashboard runs but when i run with any other user it shows the below error. I have checked the connections user security and the i have given "full rights" to the user group and also the universe user security has "full rights" but still i get this error.
