OK, I see what you want.
I'm afraid it can't be done. Your 5530 cannot act as a bridge between bluetooth and a wireless internet connection. If you try and use it as a modem over a bluetooth connection it will connect to the internet using your operator's packet data service and channel that over bluetooth, not the connection already established via the WLAN.

Please see this KB (along with the links within) for some instructions. Unfortunately, it does not appear to be written for the latest 6.0 Desktop Software. But, the 6.0 features discussed in this KB seem to say that the feature remains. Since I don't use that function myself, I've got no direct guidance for you.

It sounds like you need updated drivers. They are hard to find for that thing. This is what I found on a cursory search:

You should consider contacting the manufacturer or cell provider that sold you the modem for support.

I just bought an Ipad2 32 GB but unfortunately wouldn't be able to operate it properly.
Problem 1 - Trying to tranfer some data from my Nokia C7 to Ipad2 via bluetooth but every time it shows error "UNABLE TO CONNECT"

1, bluetooth on the iPad is aimed at devices such as keyboards and headphones and isn't for transferring files. The bluetooth profiles that are supported by the iPad (and iOS devices in general) are listed on this page : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3647

I have time warner cable. they gave me this cable modem when I got internet. can I connect this cable modem to my wrt54g using the lan cable? it doesn't have a connection for a coaxial. Is this possible? It should be, right? when I try it, No internet or anything goes through the wrt54g. I have the latest firmware, too. thank you.

Connecting Each row to another Table

This probably isnt the JDBC question but can some one tell me how to Connect each row of a column to another Table.
I have a Table with two columns Name and UserID. I want to connect each UserID to another Table. like User01 will be connected to another table called burn table for user01. User 02 will be connected to another table called burn table for user 02. Each table for user01 and user02 has 3 columns: CDName, EULA, License Key.
I read about primary and foreign keys but can some one give me a hint on this about how to start on it?
And if i get this done, then how would i execute a SQL query command so that I can read the data for each user. I am using java Servlets.

this projec to anyone.

doing but let me do that again..
1. There are about 150 or more CD's from MS.
2. Each user is able to burn a cd once only. for
example if user has already burned xp pro he cant burn

well we have a table for users.. since we need a unique key i am using username... this could be the
name for someone uses to login to your system.
there is a different table that is list of all the cds. the primary key for this one is both the name and license together.
then there is a table that builds a relationship between the two.
in this scheme each user may download or whatnot each cd zero or one times. you can't put a second
download in because that will violate the primary key of tblUserCD
now let's look at some sample data
if the user table has this....
username----firstname----lastname
jsmith----------John----------Smith
aadams-------Audrey--------Adams
and the CD table has this
cdname----license----eula
Access-----12345----blah blah
Word--------12356----blah blah
Windows---99999---blah blah
then we do the following queries when John wants to get Access and Windows and Audrey wants to get Word and Access.

INSERT INTO tblUserCD(username,cdname,licensekey) VALUES('jsmith',Windows,'99999');

now if you want to get the list of program for any user (example John Smith) you just do this....

there are several pluses to this design
1) as I alluded to earlier this design prevents you putting in the same cd and license key more than once for each user
2) You now can get a nice list of all the CD's easily.
SELECT cdname,licensekety FROM tblCD;
3) if you need to make any changes, like a persons username or more likely the cd stuff then it is easier to do so.. for example in your old design if you wanted to change Access to Access XP you would have to change EVERY table. in the new model you can do this in two queries.
UPDATE tblCD SET cdname='Access XP' WHERE cdname='Access' AND licensekey='12345';
UPDATE tblUserCD SET cdname='Access XP' WHERE cdname='Access' AND licensekey='12345';
(actually if you set up the keys properly and to cascade changes then you would just need the one query)
there is actually a theory for this sort of timesaving and error prevention work called normal form data.

Connecting kurzweil sp88 to GB I want to connect my Kurzweil sp88 to GB. The Kurzweil has a baffling array of buttons and possible MIDI channels. It also has the old style MIDI plug ins. I've got the MIDI out connected to my MacBook Pro via USB adapter.

I have my Kurzweil connected to my MacBook Pro via an adapter (old style MIDI from Kurzweil to USB adapter connecting to Mac). The Kurzweil has a baffling array of buttons and possible MIDI channels. Can anyone please tell me which of the channels I should use? Also, should I leave the MIDI In cable out of the Kurzweil? Thanks for as detailed an answer as possible. First of all I do not own this keyboard. But a quick look at the manual (found on the internet) says that when first powered up the SP88 is in Internal Sounds mode. Meaning you hear the sounds selected when playing the keyboard. It also stated that the default Midi Transmit Channel is Midi Channel #1.
Looks like you would need to go to the SP88 Keyboard's MIDI SETUP and simply select LOCAL OFF. Now the keyboard should be ready to transmit Midi Out only and no internal sounds should be heard.
Next you may or may not need to do this but you might need to go into the Utilities Folder found in your Applications Folder on your Mac and double click AUDIO MIDI SETUP the keyboard Icon. Figure #1 below.
Next you need to make a physical connection from the Midi Out of the SP88 to the Midi In on your Midi Interface. Figure #3 below. You may need to Click on Add Device first. Figure #2 below.
In the examples shown below I have a Yamaha Electronic Drum Kit that is Midi Out only... not USB out. I had to plug a Midi cable from the Midi Out Port on the back of my Drum Module to the Midi In Port on the back of my Motu 828 Audio Inferface which is connected to my Mac. Next I created the Audio Interface and Drum Module "Devices" as mentioned above.
I then double clicked on the Drum Module and made my Midi Out Selections. Figure #4 Below. And once it was setup and the icons closed I used my mouse to draw a virtual cable connection from the Drum Module Out to the Audio Interface In. Figure #3 below. This is how I got my Midi Devices to talk to one another.
Once you have made your setup as I have outlined create a MIDI Instrument Track in Garageband, select an instrument for example a Piano then Record Enable that track in Garageband and see if you now hear what you are playing. In this example the SP88 is a Midi Controller only and you will only hear sounds selected in Garageband which is what you want.
Keep in midi your setup may be different than mine. You can keep your SP88 Keyboard on the default Midi Channel #1. That would be a good place to start. Garageband receives Midi on all channels.

There is a built-in utility, which requires a subscription to MobileMe, called 'Back to my Mac'. It's had its ups and downs, but there are also other products which could produce more stable results like gotomypc
I would still recommend the Back to my Mac via MobileMe subscription.

2015 Macbook Air connect internet via 2005 Mac mini's modem?

2005 PPC G4 Mac mini 1.25 Ghz, 512 MB ram, 40GB HD, FW 400(DHCP)
Tiger OSX 10.4.11, internal Modem (PPP),
Built in Ethernet.
No Bluetooth.
No airport card.
Basic copper wire telephone line connection.
No ADSL line.
No local WiFi signals.
No mobile phone.
I live in the mountains of Asia, and have been connecting to the internet using dial-up daily for the last 9 years with my trusty 2005 PPC G4 Mac mini. Bought new from Apple, and still working perfectly using TenFourFox browser (the valiant PPC port of FireFox 31).
In 2015 I shall force myself to buy a new Mac, and the touted, paraphrased, 12" Retina Mac Air sounds perfect as my "desktop", except for the fly in the ointment; modems have been phased out.
Since my homebase is limited to modem dial-up connection, is there any way I can use my PPC Mac mini to connect the Mac Air to the internet?
I'm not concerned about "speed", just as long as I can get the same decent connection I currently enjoy on the mini.
I'm thinking along the line of using the mini's Ethernet to set up a local network, and then getting a Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter cable to connect the two Macs. (Since the Air won't have an Ethernet socket.) There's also the possibility of connecting the mini's 400FW socket to the Air's 800FireWire socket too.
An unusual request; nonetheless, can it be done?

There may be several possible solutions to a problem like this (speaking generally about a modern Mac without a modem for dial-up).
One could perhaps be to look for a new hardware-based USB 56k modem with confirmed support for the operating system in question.
Another would be to look for an (older) wireless (Wi-Fi) router with Ethernet ports and an internal 56k modem. Depending upon the make and model, connection/security/setup may or may not be OK for a modern Mac operating system. Apple had an AirPort Extreme base station (A1034) model with a built-in modem (http://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/0/MA436/en_US/AirPortExtremeBaseStationSet upGuide.pdf).
Sharing an existing connection (Internet sharing) could possibly be another alternative. Connecting a wireless Ethernet bridge (such as WNCE2001 from Netgear or WET610N from Linksys) to the Ethernet port of the old computer may add flexibility. If necessary. more information about Internet sharing can be found through the Apple support site.
