WANT TO CONVERT LEGACY EMPLOYEES WITH VARIOUS USER_PERSON_TYPES TO CWK TYPE

The implementation began BEFORE the introduction of CWK (Contingent Worker)as a SYSTEM_PERSON_TYPE.
As such, contractors were given a variety of USER_PERSON_TYPES, all logicaly linked to SYSTEM_PERSON_TYPE = EMP.
As part of the upgrade to Rel 12, we wish to convert the people in the system to reflect that they were / are CWK, not EMP.
Note that some of these people have entered Requisitions and PO's. Some are also vendors (for expense
reimbursement).
We wish to convert the EMP's to CWK for the appropriate periods (which we are able to identify.) However, we cannot disconnect from the
various transactions which are linked to these people.
Is there a utility or road-map or setup document that can assist?

In system terms you would be converting a load of employees to contractors and the ramifications are obvious; any pending transactions would have to be backed out, rolled back in again.
I would bite the bullet on this one and simply convert all your various Emp Variants (i.e., all the true CWKs who are currently EMPs on the system with a user person type) to the system CWK type on a given cut off date some time in the future. And I don't know of a way to do this other than do a mass termination and then create placement. This will sound very unpalateable to you right now but I reckon that if you proceed down a route of changing historical data, you'll hit more unseen problems down the road.
Anyway, interesting question, it would be good if you could relay your findings or outcomes to the forum.

IT0041 - employee with more than 12 date types;

Has anyone had an instance where an employee has had more than 12 valid Date Types on IT0041? If so, how did you enter their 13th date type? We have just created our 12th date type in the table and we will probably be creating a 13th date type in the near future. We have a number of employees who already use 11 date types and could use the 2 new ones as well. I tried to create a new Subtype for my new Date Type - but the new Subtype requires that Date Type 01 be entered. I am not comfortable with having two identical Date Type 01s in IT0041 (one on Subtype 0001 and one on Subtype 0098).
Has anyone used more than one Subtype on IT0041?

Thank you for your responses. I don't think changing the Time Constraint class is the best solution for our organization. We did look at that option. I don't want to have multiple valid records; I want the ability to have more than 12 date types (values) on one record. Also, if we allow more than one record, SAP forces us to have Date Type 01 on both valid records - I would be concerned that these values may not match, and then Time Eval would bomb.
I'm also still curious if anyone has used more than one Subtype on IT0041? Again, we did try this, but SAP forces a Date Type 01 on both Subtypes.

Stop user creating process order with material for specific order type

Is there a way where I can stop creating process order with material for specific order type says Z*. We are using ZNMA order type to create trial batch and we do not want to create process order with material for this order type.

You can restrict the order creation in CO01 based on authorization, Remove the authorization for Z order type for the particular user, Check with your basis Guy

QuickTime version 10.3 will "convert" older legacy codecs into a more modern version. You can save this newer version and delete the older one.
This can only mean that support for those codecs will be removed completely some time in the future.

2) When I upgraded my iPhone 3gs, to the latest version 5.0.1 (9A405), is when I noticed that i couldn’t update my applications. There are two names/accounts on the phone and prior to the update there was just the one. I have tried entering every conceivable password that I have ever used and get the incorrect password error every time. The apps on the iPhone are apparently associated with several/different accounts. I just want to get everything back to the way it was. One id and one password with purchases associated with just one account that can be updated on my computer as well as my iPhone.

The iPad and related software is designed to sync with only one computer. I suggest transferring the photos from one of your iMacs to the other so that all photos are on one Mac. Same for all other files you want to sync over.
To get those AppleWorks files to the iPad you'll have to determine if Pages will open them. If it will then use the file sharing feature of iTunes to copy them to Pages on your pad.
If Pages will not open the AppleWorks files directly you'll have to save them in some format that Pages will read. These include but may not be limited to Pages and Word formats.

If you're using Fluid Grid Layouts, none of these methods will work. I think the very best you can do is determine the min-height required for desktops & tablets. Mobile devices don't need min-height because those divisions will stack on top of each other.

It sounds as if you downloaded Adobe Acrobat Pro. If you did, uninstall it. Then repair Adobe Reader.
The free Acrobat account has no connection to any of this.

Now we got new requirement that is , we have to create some new employees with currency SGD (Singapore dollar) . with this we want to generate all MIS in SGD only .Posting can happen in INR after converting as per exchange rate.

Converting avi files with videora

When i try to convert an AVI format video with Videora it doesnt work. I click start and then it just says transcode complete, but when i check for it, it isnt there. Is there any other way to convert AVI files?

Hopefully in answer to the many posts on “how to get various video formats onto your iPod” I have put together a summary of applications I use. I have tried a few others with varying amounts of success (some of which are free) - I have finally plumped for the software produced by Xilisoft as providing good quality video relatively affordable cost for use withPC’s and numerous MS operating systems. We want to convert existing PDF (printed from various applications, not scanned) to PDF/A-format using the Preflight tool.
Some are converted, others not because Preflight found some errors.
The question is: how can we fix those errors?
Or is there a smarter tool available that fixes all these errors automaticallly?

You need to master content and create PDF in a manner that provides a PDF that is actually eligible for PDF/A.
Review the web for various short takes on what is required for PDF/A.
One good resource is the PDF Association.
The get the real nitty-gritty (& thus avoid false starts) purchase the ISO Standard for PDF/UA.
An example of proper "prep" => create a PDF that has fonts and font sub-sets embedded.
This can be done with ease as you have Acrobat X.
When using PDFMaker configure such that the Distiller job option used embeds fonts.

If they are MP3s, you can simply add them to iTunes without conversion.
If they are in a format that iTunes cannot handle, you need convert them first, with a converter.
