Want to delete yahoo IM account from Continuum.. frustrated
Hi All,
My phone keeps logging me into my IM accounts (G-chat and Yahoo) even though I've signed out. I know I can't delete IM from the phone, but how do I delete the accounts from the phone or at least PLEASE figure out a way for it to quit logging me back in all the time.
I've deleted my phone number from my yahoo account online so it's the phone that keeps logging me back in even though on yahoo I've selected the options to NOT NOT NOT log me in to my mobile device AND I've deleted my phone number. Apparently, it doesn't matter. There is still something somewhere on the phone that keeps logging me back in.
I do NOT want to do a full data reset, so how do I get my password off of the IM accounts so it will quit logging me back in??
I've been digging for an answer but have not yet found it. Really hoping someone can help.

I was able to play with the Samsung Continuum and the only way to remove/ delete your Yahoo is to to a Factory Reset. I tried every other menu/ option and I was unsuccessful in removing [only] Yahoo IM. Below I have provided you with the steps to do a Factory Reset.
It will not erase: Current System software and bundled applications; SD Card files, such as music or Photos
This method will not erase any MDN/MIN information:
From the main screen, touch menu tab
Touch Settings
Touch Privacy
Touch Factory Data reset
Touch Reset Phone
Touch Erase Everything
Warning: This will erase all data from your phone, including:
Your Google account
System and application data and settings
Downloaded Applications

You would have to delete the existing iCloud account and create a wholly new one - you cannot change the @icloud.com email address of the one you already have. To make a new one, you will also need an new AppleID as any AppleID can only have one iCloud account associated with it.
Deleting the account will not delete anything off your device (if prompted for things like contacts, choose to keep them). You will have to sync everything anew with the new account as you cannot move your sync'd content, your old backups or anything else from one iCloud account to another. You will have to set up sync again and let it sync to the new account, and then make new backups to the new account as well. -

but then i realized what a nightmare it was to have too many emails coming in at same time. Long story short, i went back to how i first set up both emails in the first place by going to setup wizard, email setup, "i want to create or add an email address." , next, next, logging on to web2go, then finally the stupid messege shows up ERROR- " this site cannot be accessed in this manner. Please use the url or link provided by your service provider.

From your description, perhaps TMO has changed the method you need to do this? Have you contacted them, as per the information provided to you? After all, it's a TMO system you are attempting to interact with, is it not?

I now can't get rid of it for the above reason--I can't turn 'Find my iPhone' off since that old appleid is no longer active and I don't have access to the email address since its from an old job. If the old ID is yours, and if your current ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

I Stupidly have one iCloud account but with two phones using it. How can I delete iCloud from my phone without deleting the account from my husbands phone. He needs the account on his but I dont want it on mine!
But does this delete the whole account from the cloud, or just from my device. I must make sure my husband doesn't loose all his business contacts which are in the iCloud device. Thanks.

On my iphone 5 when I text people they tell me the text says they received it from my iCloud email. Is there a way to make it send from a my number not my iCloud email. I don't want to delete my iCloud account though?

My nephew set up his own iCloud account on my phone, and I want to delete his iCloud account, without losing all my data, including, my apps, contacts, calendar events, music. If I delete his account, will I still have everything saved from before deleting his account?? Deleting the iCloud account from your phone only deletes the account and any data you are syncing with the account (that is, any data that is set to On in Settings>iCloud). However, when you delete the account you are prompted about what to do with the iCloud data. If you want to keep it on your phone, be sure to choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted. Also, be sure to save any photo stream photos that are not in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else before deleting the account. To do this, open the photo stream album, tap Edit, tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.
Deleting the account will not touch any other data on your phone (music, apps, etc.). -

Go to /ask the person to whom you sold it to and erase (Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings) the iPod

It requires i log into FindMyiPad to delete the iCloud account however the Apple ID has changed therefore the username/password no longer exists.
This is just sending me in circles to log into to a non-existant apple id with no password to delete my iCloud so i can log in with my updated apple ID.Settings/iTunes and App Store log out then log in with new ID. you might want to change ID in iMessage, FaceTime and Siri and delete the cloud account and create one with new ID. remember apps are forever linked to the ID used to download them and can only be updated with that ID

First, turn off using iCloud for your contacts. Go to:
Settings --> Mail, Contacts, Calendars --> (your iCloud account)
Switch "Contacts" to OFF.
You should get a dialog box asking you if you want to keep the contacts on the phone or not -- choose the option to keep them.
Now you can delete the iCloud account but retain the contact information. -

All you have to do is this: Sync your 3GS to create a current backup. Then either: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings or restore it as a "New" device in iTunes. Both accomplish the same thing, erasing all of your data & settings from the phone. You can now give it to your sister, she can plug it into her computer, name it what she wants & sync her content to it. You then restore your 4S from the backup of the 3GS you created when you started. Follow this by syncing your content to your new phone & your 4S will look just like your 3GS.
