Want to display characteristics only

Hi,
I want to create a query from an InfoCube to display Material and Sales Org only in a list format without having to display a key figure. If I try this, I get 'No Applicable Data'.

This is my first time posting here, so I'm sorry, I re-read my post several times and honestly did think I provided enough information, but you're right, it wasn't the right kind. So please (continue to) bear with me, I'm really not trying to be ignorant. I honestly assumed the issue was something I was doing wrong in Bridge, nothing to do with my computer specs.

I work with jpg, psd, ai, svg, and pdf files. Most of my stacks are three different file types of the same image, usually jpg, psd/ai, and pdf.
I have not recieved any error messages
I am not having issues opening raw files, I am not having printing issues, I have listed the troubleshooting steps I have taken.
Is there any information you need that I missed? I'm trying not to be a dingus, but I'll have to ask you to be patient with me in the meantime. 1.in ur UI create tabs as u desire
2. In each TAB , add ViewContainer . ViewContainer you would be able to add inside tab.
3. Now create as many views as you have created Tabs.
4. Embed views into the corresponding ViewContainers , in ur first view embed link to URL

Want to Display only Subtotals

Hi All,
I Have report which Dispays Segment wise in that currency wise totals.
I want to Display only Subtotals in the Report currency wise.
Not to Display grand Total and each line items.
Can any help me how to go ahead.

in the layout click on the layout symbol and check the subtotal checkbox for the filed you want to display the subtotals.. sort as per the sequence you want and save the layout...
this can be done if the field catalog is defined to do sum for that fields..

Hi,
If you have Infoprovider in BW with data, then you can build a query, based on that infoprovider you can build Query in Query Designer.
TCode is RRMX..in BW or you directly access from Start from Desktop -->All Programs --> Business Explorer.
Coming to Quarter you can hide them in Query , selecting option as hide in Query Designer.

Want to display records for the specified month only

In my report I am displaying records for the specified month only.
I am able to display it in range of the dates, but i want to display name of the month at the top of page.
e.g.
i am giving range like
01.04.2008 to 30.04.2008
then, it shoud display April, 2008.

Use following FM to get month in words.
and then using TOP-OF-Page event print the month.
DATA X_MONTH(11).

Display Characteristics-Planning Book Selected Objects

Dear Experts
Product , Product group and product category are 3 char. in my Planning Book
by using shullfer we selected to show one of the char. but i want the display of selected objects (Top left box of the Planning book) to be showing all the 3 characteristics. based on the filter criteria specified.
Just displaying one char. specified in show is not enough.

Shyam Kumar,
Once you have a selection ID with the 3 chars, you could use Show as only one char, lets say use 'Product' Char here. You can use the Header settings to include the other two - Product group and product category and then drill down on all 3 Chars Values as you wish. You can save this header settings and next time the user logs in, you need not redo these settings.

How do I set up an indicator to display for only 1 second?

How do I set up an indicator to display for only 1 second?
I am reading keys from a serial device and I turn on an indicator that corresponds to the key pressed
on the serial device but how do I set this up so that it only stays lit (enabled) for a second or two?
The indicator is inside of a case statement and turns on OK but I do not want it to stay on for more than
a second or two. How do I modify this to display for only a second or two?
(P.S. I am running an old version 8.2 and can only see vis that are 8.2 or older.)

Simplest way to turn the indicator off (false value) after a set time is to use a Sequence structure (flat or stacked).
Frame 1, set to true,
Frame 2, Wait ms (wire millisecond value to wait)
Frame 3, set to false.
This method, however, prevents the code outside the case structure from running during that wait time.
Something more elaborate will allow the external code to run. What comes to mind is a shift register that holds the indicator name and the time stamp (in milliseconds) when it was turned on, in an array of clusters. Each iteration of your loop will check this register to see if a certain time has passed (current time stamp minus turn on time). If so, use a case structure to turn the indicator off and remove the elements from the shift register array (so you don't keep setting the indicator to false). The array will let you control multiple indicators independently.
A problem with this option could arise from multiple readings. Lets say you want to turn it off after 2 seconds, but you read the value again after 1 second (this means the indicator should be on for a total of 3). The code would still turn it off after the 2 second mark. Of course this really depends on the time intervals involved with your code.

Just declare a counter before fetching the resultset data and increment the counter by 1 whenever you get the data and if the counter returns 0 then display your alert message.
For example:
rs = stmt.executeQuery("........");
int iCounter = 0; //initialize the counter

iCounter++; //increment the counter
if(iCounter == 0)
out.println("No records to display"); //Display your alert message

My question is How you can know these Work orders are related to particular Vendor? Any relation is there between the Vendors and work orders?
Also what you calling as Work Orders? I think it is Purchase Order?
If it is PO, then try this
Select T0.DocNum from ORDR T0 where T0.CardCode = $[$OIGE.U_BPCode] and T0.Status = 'O'
The above query will show only the Open PO list. If you want all POs then remove the T0.Status condition.

I agree with other comments that you should do this with specifying that the column is NOT NULL to prevent it from being NULL and a constraint if you don't want it to be blank (spaces or the empty string - note that the empty string is not the same thing
as NULL).
But for completeness, the reason your trigger does not ever allow you to enter a row is the code
IF (SELECT COUNT(*) FROM inserted WHERE Status IS NULL) =1
PRINT 'Please Fill the Status field is required'
Rollback;
Since you don't have a begin/end block after IF, the only conditionally executed statement is the one immediately following the IF (that is the PRINT). So the Rollback is always executed whether or not the IF is true and so all updates are rejected.
So if you were to do this in a trigger you could do something like the following

ON [dbo].[Status]

BEGIN
IF EXISTS(SELECT * FROM inserted WHERE Status IS NULL)

(As José noted, there can be more than one row in the inserted pseudo table, so you don't want to test whether the COUNT = 1, instead just whether one or more rows exist where the Status is null. If you want to prevent Status is NULL, or all

I want to display a space after last field in the output txt file which is generaed by my program on utility server the last field lengyt we have defined is four and in database it is of three characters and requirement is to disppaly the last fourth field as space in the output file w hich is not shown as the txt file automatically gets closed at the third place as it is the last field in the record and ind atabase records are of therss char only but user wants to display this fourth position in the notepad output file as space ( which is last field in the output file)
eg
name house street country
record output coming in file
ram   h3      street3 thn      now this thn which is last field the notepad get closed at thn only
i want to display one space in last field for the whole of output file
ie ram      h3   street3 thn(space)
    sham   h4 street4   sgp(space) so on......
we need to show this space in the output file as blank

How to display characteristics with filterd values in WebReports

Hi
we use webreporting (BI 7.0) for our endusers and have designed a very simple webtemplate. All the characteristics you can see in the "selection window" are displayed in a header section with the values set for each variable. Due to the simplicity of the template we do not want to display all characteristics in the header with all possible filtered values set on any charateristic which are available on the report.
There is a standard webitem to display these filtered values but we can not use it as it is too large.
Is it possible to change the apperance of a characteristic (make it bold, or red, or underline if a filter is set) so that the user can see that he have set a filter on any characteristic?
If not, is it possible to simply display any text on the webtemplate indicating that a filter has been set?
Any Ideas?

i want to display message more than 50 characters, and the fm 'POPUP_DISPLAY_MESSAGE' can display just 50characters, my message maybe much long, what other fm can i use?
btw, i cann't use POPUP_TO_CONFIRM to let user select, the popup screen should only have one button to let user type in.

but 'POPUP_TO_DISPLAY_TEXT' just has two lines(every line has character limit), my message to be displayed may be much long.
why i need the fm is that, i want to display error message when user made error operation, if i use 'message msg type 'E' ', the message display in the status bar at the left-down place and cann't display the whole message if the message is to long.
so i had like to find a fm like 'POPUP_TO_CONFIRM' which can display multipul lines and just with one button(which is the user required...).
