Have you got the latest version of iTunes on your computer ? There is some troubleshooting for that error code on this page : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694
Edit : misread your post's title, I thought you were wanting to update to 6.0.1 - you can't downgrade, it isn't supported

Slowness...First Try using Disk Utility to do a Disk Repair, as shown in this link, while booted up on your install disk.
You could have some directory corruption. Let us know what errors Disk Utility reports and if DU was able to repair them. Disk Utility's Disk Repair is not perfect and may not find or repair all directory issues. A stronger utility may be required to finish the job.
After that Repair Permissions. No need to report Permissions errors....we all get them.

I can't sync my photos from my computer to my iTouch. I am trying to sync it from windows. On step 3 it says to click the photo tab on itunes, but there is no photo tab. Can somebody please help?

Installed Win7, now I want to get rid of it. Can you please help?
I am currently dual booting WinXP and Win7 (which is installed to d: ) I do not wish to format d: due to the 1 key recovery option being located on that drive.
As you may know, Vista/Win7 does not use boot.ini, it uses BCEDIT.exe (which is obviously not an XP function)
So, my question is, how do I remove the boot option and revert back to using boot.ini?
Can I smply run the restore 1 key function? Will it save akl my current programs and settings?

I turned on my laptop this evening to import a new cd but it asked me if i wanted to download the new version of itunes so i went ahead to update it but it failed to update then it failed to open at all, and and runtime error keeps popping up but when i uninstalled it to reinstall it it wont install now and i cant use my ipod or ipad with my laptop without itunes and i never had this problem at all. can you please help?Hey maryncomiskey,

A data recovery company MAY be able to do it for a price. The Disabled is a very good security feature.
JWhy not just restore from the last backup you have?
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
