Want to go back to iTunes 5

I too am pretty miffed at the spyware tactics Apple is using in version 6 with Mini music store. I certainly don't trust just hiding it. Don't they realise we are all swamped by ads, spam and pushy commercialism? A nice idea would be to disable and trash it all together as an option.
I would therefore like to go back to version 5 but cannot find any link to the download package. All there is , is one for 4.7.1
can anyone help?
I don't relish having to do a full system reinstall.

You can disable the Music Store by going to iTunes>Preferences>Parental and check Disable Music Store. This will remove the Store from you Source list and also remove the little MiniStore button.
While I understand your anger over the original implementation of the Mini Store and I think your proposed solution may be an over reaction.

so then technically I can't transfer the songs off my ipod to my itunes library? since it is one 1 transfer from pc to ipod...correct? So when I synch my ipod the warning screen comes up and says "there are content not in the library, erase and synch library to Itunes, only purchased songs can transfer." We want Cover Flow back in iTunes

After updating my iTunes I saw the new interface and I thought, ok, a new way to use iTunes. Some nice features, in the GUI. But than I got a shock:
No coverflow anymore??
No option to enable coverflow??
I don't have so much albums in my library, the most of them a "single" songs. So one Album contains one song. For me the album view is not so important as the song and playlist view.
And here its not possible anymore to go through the library like on a jukebox? Once Cover Flow was that "killer feature" of iTunes. And now its gone?
Grabbing in a list like in the older days? That's a step backward!
Apple, please bring back coverflow to iTunes in the next update!

Reinstalled my PC, I want media files back on itunes from my devices

Hey guys,
I need some help with this. I had to reinstall the OP on my laptop. It runs on windows vista. I have downloaded itunes already so I would like to put my media files from my ipad and iphone to the itunes library. I tried to sync it back but it would delete the current files on my devices since there is nothing in my itunes library.

When you add or change credit card details (and/or your address) on your account then you will likely receive a small temporary holding charge (as a lot of retailers do) to check that the card details are valid and that the card is active (it should disappear within a few days) : store holding charge
For the the 70, you've checked the purchase history on your account (Store > View My Account, Store > View My Apple ID on iTunes 11, menu option on your computer's iTunes), and have you made any in-app purchases or have any auto-renewing subscriptions ?

A playlist takes up almost no room. A few kB at most.
It is simply a list of songs in the library

Hey, so I logged onto my computer after a mandatory restart and my music and playlists were deleted from itunes, but I still have all of the music files that go into itunes if I open them individually. Any way I can get them back into itunes altogether??

really just want my songs back in itunes, trying to find a way to do it all at once instead of clicking on individual song files since i have so many.

copy them and then paste them into music/itunes/itunes media/music/ automatically add to itunes. that should automatically add them back in.

Can't sync podcast back to itunes

i have a podcast downloaded on my iphone that i want to sync back to itunes. in the past when i sync the phone with my mac the podcast has just appeared in itunes, but not any more.
i have tried right clicking on the phone in Devices (in the sidebar), and then choosing Transfer Purchases, but it hasn't worked.
anyone got any ideas as to how i can get the file into itunes?

Which Apple TV do you have.
If it's the Apple TV 2 then you can't sync anything to it, it wont show up under iTunes devices and the library will disappear from the Apple TV when you close iTunes or shut down your computer.

You might just have to contact Apple and ask them to remove it (losing it). Usually people clear a balance by buying one song and having the exact remainder charged to their credit card, but if you don't have a US credit card you cannot do that.

I am having the same problem. I have just tried this. Unplug iphone > open itunes > delete all music from itunes library > close itunes > re-open itunes > add music from original folder > plug in iphone > select songs > press sync > unplug iphone using eject button onscreen > checked phone .... still nothing in music folder on phone. On itunes the "On this iphone" tab the songs remain there but greyed out.

Sorry, downgrading the iOS is not supported by Apple, thus there is no official way to do so. Your phone was re-locked to the carrier it was originally locked to because you hacked it to unlock it. Apple's servers detected such & re-locked your phone. You need to contact the carrier your phone is locked to if you want to get it officially unlocked.

2) When I upgraded my iPhone 3gs, to the latest version 5.0.1 (9A405), is when I noticed that i couldn’t update my applications. There are two names/accounts on the phone and prior to the update there was just the one. I have tried entering every conceivable password that I have ever used and get the incorrect password error every time. The apps on the iPhone are apparently associated with several/different accounts. I just want to get everything back to the way it was. One id and one password with purchases associated with just one account that can be updated on my computer as well as my iPhone.

Do you have an installed email program such as Microsoft Outlook? If your email is through an online login, such as Gmail, etc, then one will have to create an email association with a program such as Microsoft Outlook on the PC for this Scan to Email system to function.
