I want to install Creative Suite 6 Premium on a third home Mac CPU, single user in the home.  Will use the third CPU in college class

A single user license only provides for having two activated installations.  If you want a third activated installation you will have to purchase another license.
You can install on as many machines as you like, but the activations of those are limited to two per license.  You could activate/deactivate as needed, but I do not know if you end up reaching a limit for that as well.  I know there used to be a limit on the number of times you could activate.

    You would need an image editor to edit the images and add a border to the image first before importing them into Final Cut.

    Tks_tks you will want to install Creative Suite 6 on a non-Case sensitive formatted drive.  You can find more details at Error "Case-sensitive drives not supported" or similar install error | Mac OS.

    Releyendo (estaba confiando en mi memoria, algo que sé que no debería hacer a mi edad), veo que efectivamente estaba equivocado respecto a lo que quiere Rodrigo, que parece que no ha vuelto por aquí.
    En cuanto al servicio al cliente de Adobe, te creo que dentro de los Estados Unidos sea amable y eficiente. El problema es cuando tienes que hacer una costosa llamada de larga distancia internacional, que recibe una máquina contestadora que habla un idioma que no es el tuyo, y a veces con una voz que pertenece a alguien probablemente de origen asiático; es decir, que habla un inglés aún más incomprensible, y a menudo con la velocidad de una ametralladora. Te lo digo porque me ha pasado, aunque no recuerdo si específicamente con Adobe; y te puedo asegurar que es frustrante, aunque me manejo razonablemente bien con el inglés.
    En cuanto a Adobe Chile, desgraciadamente mis experiencias con ellos no han sido agradables ni fructíferas. Lo que no quiere decir que otros no puedan tener suerte ...

    Are you just uninstalling ID, and leaving the rest of the suite in place? You don't need to deactivate to do that.
    A suite license does not permit you to install individual components on many different machines so that different users have access to them, if that is what you are contemplating.

  • Adobe Creative Suite Premium All Re-install Except PhotoShop

    I have been using Creative Suite Premium for over 4 years.  It was working fine until several days ago when Photoshop locked up.  After closing it, I have was not able to get Photoshop to run.  I have tried to uninstall and re-install the entire suite several times.  All of the programs in CS installed fine and I can open them and work in them, EXCEPT PhotoShop.  PhotoShop is the main program I use.  When I tried to install just PhotoShop, I got an error message that the serial number is invalid.  I re-checked and re-entered the serial number several times, but always got the same error message.  I don't understand whay happened in the first place and why the problem is only with PhotoShop. 
    I use PhotoShop on a daily basis with my job, so I need it to be up and running.  I am also on a limited income and budget and cannot afford to buy their expensive upgrades, nor should I have to since the program has been working fine all this time. 
    I tried the Tech suppport chat and after a lengthy wait and discussion, was told that Tech Support does support CS.  I know Adobe is trying to force me to spend hudnreds of dollars to upgrade, but if I am forced to buy new software, it won't be from Adobe.
    Does anyone out there know of a solution to fix this?  Thanks.

    Before uninstall/reinstalling any software always try to fix the preference file first. Reason is, if the file is corrupted, reinstalling the app will not fix it, as it assumes that you want to keep your prefered settings, hence preference file.
    Most apps will recreate the file if it can not find it, but to be safe, moving the file to another location, will allow you to put it back if it does not recreate the file.

    I am not interested in switching to Creative Cloud, so don't even suggest it. I spoke to Mashmi (or something to that effect) on the "Support" Chat and there was absolutely no support. Useless actually.

    Try uninstall all Adobe software from the PC before installing CS 5.5, then reinstall them back again after you installed CS 5.5.
