Want to install Windows 8.1 Enterprise on my Yoga 2 10 tablet

I would like to install Windows 8.1 Enterprise on my Yoga 2 10 tablet. The tablet came with Windows 8.1 with Bing preinstalled. This upgrade will require a full reinstall as there's no upgrade path to the Enterprise from the preinstalled version. Unfortunately, there are no dowloads for drivers or the bundled software on the Lenovo support site for the Yoga 2 10 tablet (1051F). Will the drivers & bundled software eventually be available for download or are they something I need to purchase?

Hi all,
I finally figured it out. I have the 13" with the 64GB drive Yoga 2 Tablet.
Here's what I did.
1. I used Double Driver to scan my system and backup ALLof the original drivers to a flash drive.
2. I attached a USB 2.0 hub (Must be 2.0 to avoid additional driver issues during 8.1 enterprise install)
Attached a standard keyboard, mouse, and 8GB flash drive with Windows 8.1 Enterprise on it.
(the flash drive must be a standard flash drive and must be created to booth via UEFI. I used ISO2Disc to do this)
3. After I was sure the drivers backed up I shrunk the partition of the current windows drive to 20GB and created a new partition
4. I restarted and boot into the bios and turned secure boot OFF(after you push restart hold the volume up button until it brings you to it. Here you'll find the boot manager, BIOS, etc.)
5. I then restarted again and boot to UEFI USB that had my windows 8.1 enterprise (x86 only - x64 is not supported with these devices/BIOS that I know of)
I installed 8.1 Enterprise on the new partition that I'd just created out of the remaining space I took from the original windows install - It would not allow me in any way to install 8.1 OVER the previous windows install.
6. I installed windows as normal and then used Double Driver to do a restore of ALL the previous drivers I captured from the other partition with windows on it. I had to click through several "Publisher not found, do you want to install anyway?" prompts, but it worked out really well.
7. I did a restart and ensured that everything continued to work as expected.
8. Then I booted back into the Enterprise install and in Disk Management deleted the old partition of the previous windows install and recommisioned it as a new simple volume.
*At this point there are likely tools that would combine the partitions for me but I didn't have one nor could I get any good recommendations so I preceded to do it the only way I knew how and went to step 9.*
9. I went back and repeated Steps 5-7 but this time installing Enterprise on the Original partition.
10. After a restart and ensuring the drivers worked I did all the windows updates and checked to make sure everything was good.
11. I used disk management to delete the FIRST install of Enterprise and then expanded my SECOND install of enterprise to reclaim the unused space.
12. Installed all my normal programs, joined to domain, and treated it as a normal computer from here on out.
Note - I left the 100MB EFI untouched as I'm pretty sure this is what fuels the BIOS and boot. Also the ~5GB Recovery partition untouched in case I ran into any problems and needed my original factory image back.

• Install windows 8.1 enterprise trial on new machine

I want to install windows 8.1 enterprise trial iso from microsoft site.
Now I want to install it on new machine.
My new machine has ubuntu install and I want to clean install Windows 8.1.
How I create bootable disc from ISO ?

Hi,
If you want to clean install Windows 8.1 or other Windows, you should first have the installation media a DVD burned from the ISO file, here I give a method to burn an ISO file to a DVD in Windows 7, you can follow this way:
1.Insert a recordable CD, DVD, or Blu‑ray Disc into your disc burner.
2. Open Computer by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, and then clicking Computer.
3.In Windows Explorer, find the disc image file, and then double-click it.
4.If you have more than one disc burner, from the Disc burner list in Windows Disc Image Burner, click the burner that you want to use.
5.Click Burn to burn the disc.

After this, you can conduct a clean boot in this way :

• How to install Windows 8.1 Enterprise on Ultrabook which came with basic Windows 8.1

Hi,
I guess I'm not the first one with this question but anyway...
I've got 2000EUR expensive Ultrabook recently, and what's interesting it came with Windows 8.1. Just standard basic Windows 8.1, not Pro or Enterprise.
Obviously I needed to upgrade it with larger SSD 1Tb and install Windows 8.1 Enterprise as I need Hyper-V and other Enterprise version functionality on day to day bases.
I was surprised that I can't do so as SLIC is reverting Windows 8.1 back to basics!!!
.. so my question is - How can I can Windows 8.1 Enterprise 64Bit on to very expensive Ultrabook which came with Windows 8.1?!?!
Kind Regards,
Kon

Hi,
Enterprise edition of Windows Client OS, is not available via OEM and not via Retail - it's only available via Volume Licensing agreement.
you can purchase an upgrade to Pro, via the Microsoft Store:

Hi Armin.S,
I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact nature of your question. If you are asking about the system requirements for running various versions of Windows under Bootcamp, or just more generally how to set up Bootcamp on your Mac, you may find the following articles/pages helpful:

None if these crash reports seem to have been send.
Do you have crash reports with a "bp-" prefix that were submitted and that show a crashing thread?
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

• I want to install Windows 7 in bootcamp on my imac with Lion 10.7, but only have a Windows 7 upgrade disk. I also have a full Vista. Can I install in bootcamp using the Windows 7 upgrade disk? If so, what do I need to know about how?

Hi,
I want to install Windows 7 on my imac in bootcamp. I have a windows 7 upgrade disk and a full vista disk. Normally on a PC I would install Vista, then upgrade to Windows 7. I see that bootcamp 4 only supports Windows 7.
Can I install the Windows 7 upgrade disk without first installing Vista? Will this work in bootcamp?
Thanks,
Jim

Install 7. Don't bother with applying drivers and such, just reboot again from DVD and install again, it will see the existing system and this time activation will be possible.
Vista is mess, takes longer etc. Hope you have SP1 version of 7. And for Vista, only SP2+ are even supported now, by MS.

Help

The two other posts are correct... so I'll just clarify. What's happening right now is your system is trying to boot into Windows in order to finish the installation. What you want to do is make it boot into OS X. As mende1 indicated, with your system off, hold down the Option key and continue to hold it while you turn the system on. You will eventually be presented with an option to select which partition you would like to boot from. Choose OS X. After you get into OS X, again, as mende1 indicated, change the Startup Disk to OS X. What this will do is cause your system to automatically boot into OS X when you restart it instead of you having to use the Option key when booting each time.
Relaunching BootCamp Assistant will allow you to remove your Windows installation and partition.

• 2011 MacBook Pro, 64 bit i7 quad core, upgraded to Lion OSx, Bootcamp installed with Windows 7, wanting to install Windows 8 (don't ask), tried downloading/installing bootcamp 5.0.5033, error message something similar to bootcamp doesn't support this Win

2011 MacBook Pro, 64 bit i7 quad core, upgraded to Lion OSx, Bootcamp installed with Windows 7, wanting to install Windows 8 (don't ask), tried downloading/installing bootcamp 5.0.5033 (both on the mac/windows partitions (actually using a parallel to run Windows)), error message something similar to bootcamp doesn't support this Windows
So the question is am I doing something wrong? Should I just try and install windows 8 through my windows 7 partition and see if I can use the bootcamp 5.05033. Or do I solely have to use the bootcamp to install Windows 8? I'm not too familiar with bootcamp and how it runs.

if you're using parallels and full bootcamp then you're making it 100% more troublesome for youself then it needs to be
bootcamp is running windows directly on the hardware this give full memory and cpu and 3d video game power
running windows in parallels is running a virtual machine where one can't run powerful games and the like but one can have it in a window and change fast between osx and windows
parallels as the only virutal machine (as far as I know) support not have the operating system as a file on the osx harddisk but can access a bootcamp parition as virtual machine but without the benefits bootcamps provides
it's a service parallels provide for those who want both to play games in normal bootcamp and sometimes use windows in a virutal machine
just install it like a normal virtual machine and you need not worry about bootcamp drivers and the likes
plus it would mean that the windows part would be a part of the timemachine bacup of osx
which it is not when it's in bootcamp

"At least 16 GB of free space on the disk onto which you’re installing for 32-bit, or 20 GB for 64-bit (for Microsoft Windows and Windows-based applications)."
That's what Apple proposes in here Boot Camp: System requirements for Microsoft Windows
Personally I would double these amounts and add to that the diskspace needed for your Windows games.

• I want to install windows 8 without bootcamp ...

So here is what I did step by step:
1. make partition via disk utility and format using MS-DOS / FAT
2. Insert windows cd and restart
3. Hold C when it's booting up
4. It goes right away to windows installation, and when I see my partition, I choose the partition i made from disk utility
5. On the "where do you want to install Windows" menu (with many partitions on the screen where you supposed to choose which one to install windows), I can't install windows yet, so I click Drive Options, then Format, but after I format the partition, I still can't click Next
Some said that I need to make the partition via disk utlity using NTFS, but I still can't install
It stucks on the "where do you want to install Windows" menu
Is it because the windows 8?
Or is it because Mountain Lion won't let you do this anymore?
All I want is to make 3 partitions since bootcamp limit only 2 partitions max.
I did successfully install windows 8 without any issue using bootcamp, but then again it was only 2 partitions.
I use VMware, and it takes your memory like crazy
*sigh*

I use VMware now, but it surely eats A LOT of memory
I can see that free memory is around 2GB, and after I hit VMware to run windows, memory left is around 30MB
Maybe I should buy another memory just for the sake of VMware?
I guess not, it's not worth it.
I really wish I can create triple partition like people taught out there on google.
But I can't make it happen

Please help. I have a Mac Book Pro ( late 2007- A1226) that I want to install Windows 7 ultimate on. I have boot camp 3.0 and I can set up the partition but when i click start installation, I get a black screen ( for a few seconds) then it goes to a grey window, which alternates between flashing the apple symbol and a circle with line through it. It will do this for however long I let it go for.
Would it be better for me to buy parallels software than keep persisting with this avenue.

First, make sure you ONLY have the wired Apple Keyboard and wired mouse connected.
You should have BootCamp Asst. 3.3 or 3.4 now I believe is the latest version.
Do you have the W7 disk or ISO download version?
When does the flashing start, after Windows 7 sets the NTFS formating and you click to install?
