Want to know No of Oracle RAC DB Servers to be brought for my requirement

Hi Experts,
We are planning to buy a Oracle RAC DB servers with 600 GB disk storage (with ASM data) 32 cpu cores and 512 gb of memory (12000 specints / 2006 scale) for the below TPS.
1. total db reads per TPS - 1800
2. total db writes per TPS - 1080
3. total read per second during normal peak (MB) - 3.96
4. total write per second during normal peak (MB) - 0.432
5.login TPS for DDOS volume - 12000 (total read - 52.8 mb/total write - 5.76 mb)
can anyone pl let me know how many Oracle RAC DB servers can be allocated / needs to be brought for the above requirement?? thanks in advance.

Below is the detailed spec:
4 intel E5-4650 2.7GHz (8 core) processors, 512GB 1600 MHz memory 32x16GB DIMMs, 2x300GB Drives, 2 port 10GBe Emulex Embedded NIC, 2 port 10Gig Emulex PCI NIC with 4 SFP+modules, P420i Smart array controller with 1GB FBWC, 2x8GB HBAs, 5 SFF drive slots, 6 PCIe Slots, 2x1200 Watt platinum power suppiles, BB Rail kit with Cable management arm, factory customization and asset / RFID tags, iLO advanced license and 4th year warranty carepack.
Also this server has 12000 specints / 2006 scale for the below TPS.
Parameters estimated::
Total TPS - 900
DB volume expected - 500 GB
Below are the DB parameters estimated.
1. total db reads per TPS - 1800
2. total db writes per TPS - 1080
3. total read per second during normal peak (MB) - 3.96
4. total write per second during normal peak (MB) - 0.432
5.login TPS for DDOS volume - 12000 (total read - 52.8 mb/total write - 5.76 mb)
Pl let me know how many of these servers (HP DL 560) would be needed for above DB estimates. and let me know if you have any queries.

First on a computer try editing your ID to change the payment method to None.

I do not think Adobe has such a product.
Contact a friendly school (probably out of your conference) and see what they use. Some football teams, for example, use proprietary systems for game videos.
The only ones I handled were for individual players done as custom processes.
John's point is important: you need to know your final format - I would look for a web based option where you simply provide the college the link, or if you prefer, login credentials to control access.

Your query is not clear. The delivery date is calculated by the system based on the planned delivery period you have entered in material master. Based on this planned delivery time & the PO creation date, system automatically proposes the delivery date, which you need not change.

Hi Aasma,
The standard BI Publisher is part of EBS applications.
Most of the EBS reports(R12) are based on BI Publisher.
If you check the responsibility 'XML Publisher Administrator' you will see all the templates used in the application.
Your technical team should already know this.
On the other hand OBIEE would need separate licences.
But for you BI Publisher would do.

I believe Veritas Advanced Cluster 4.0 is available in Solaris (Fujitsu Siemens) or Solaris (SUN), both Oracle 9i and 10g support it. For more related docs, you can go to:

Multipool with weblogic 8.1 sp3 and Oracle RAC

I have an Oracle RAC define with 2 node.
For each node I defined a simple ConnectionPool using the Oracle thin driver 10 g.
Then I set a multipool that contains those conections pool.
This is a good solution: It works... :-)
Now I would like to use a XA Driver. The documentation say that it is not supported...
I would like to figure out why?
Does it mean that an EJB that connect to this multipool cannot participate in a XA transaction?
Will it work if I use the param KeepXAConnTillTXComplete="true" on the connectionpool? which means that I will use the same conection throughout the transaction.

Yann.Hi. The trouble with XA and multipools is that sometimes XA must recover after failures,
and if a multipool is involved, the transaction coordinator cannot know whether the
connection it gets from the multipool for recovery is talking to the same DBMS that was
involved in the transaction that has to be recovered.
Do check the 81sp3 documents on this issue.
