Want to limit users to prebook with note only, not just to save

Hi there,
I was wondering if you could assist me. Is there any way to limit the users on training & events to only prebook with a note and not just to press the save button. I have tried to find if there is a transaction or seperate program used for these 2 functions by debugging it but it doesn't seem to go into the program while i debug it.
Please can someone help,

This will be a complete modification of the screen
like if you want to prebook using LSO_PV02 screen, you can see 2 options
prebook and 'prebook + note'
to disable the option of prebook can only be done via modification...
however this will be applicable for all the users.
seems that there is no alternative way or code written in the prog. with which you can achieve your requirement for particular users.

Is there a way to control what SQL command can be executed from SQL Developer?
I am trying to limit users to execute "SELECT" statements only from SQL Developer.
I believe SQL*Plus used to have the product profile where I can control what SQL command can be executed from what user.

There's nothing special in sqldev to enforce privileges, the database does all that already. See the database documentation on the GRANT and REVOKE statements. Basically, you would only want to grant SELECT privileges to your users...

No, you can stop using the account, but you cannot delete it.

Your ringtone will only be where you put it.
You get one download.
If you have failed to transfer it from your iphone to your computer, then do so. You can then sync it to your new iphone.

HR TEM - Prebooking with notes

Hi Experts,
When we prebook an attendee with note for a business event type and if we cancel its prebooking and prebook that same attendee for the same business event type again we get the text from the previous prebooking in the note.
Even if the second time we prebook that attendee without Prebook+Note option(Normal prebookig) still it shows the notes icon under prebookings and the text from the previous prebooking.
So is there a standard way to delete the note while cancelling the prebooking for an atendee or we have to code the deletion of the note while cancelling the prebooking in the badi or some user exit.
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the response.
If I use BADi RHPV001 for deleting the Notes while cancelling the Prebooking and for some reasons after the execution of this Badi the Prebooking cancellation failed for some other validation then it will be a problem.
I found BADi HRBAS00INFTY however i dont know how i am going to check for the existence of NOTES in this Badi .
But still prefer the standard way if any.
Appreciate your help!!!

Automount for all users on a mac, not just one

I have configured the /etc/fstab file so that an AFP share is automatically mounted under /Network/Folder. If I switch users /Network/Folder is not accessible, I think because it was created by the other user. I want to automount so that each user has access to /Network/Folder, not just the first one that logs into the computer.

My home page is using frames. In one of the frame i am calling one html page which is calling one applet. Is it possible to hide the source code of the bottom frame .
As the user types in the absolute path of the request on the address bar , he any how manages to see my source code of the html (view source) thereby the applet tag .
Can't figure it out, how to hide the source code of the bottom frame .
I read that its possible with redirecting it to some other page , but how will i know that user is not calling from the home page

You can set up a javascript to prevent someone viewing the page source, but anyone web-savvy will be able to switch off javascript and see it anyways.
You could also add a request value to the second page so that you have "<a href="page.jsp?parameter=00a">" and if the parameter is not set the page will not show. That is a bit of a hack but would probably work.
Basically, don't put anything too security dependent on the client site, because once it is run on someone's computer they have access to it.

Users changing 'open with:' not working/permanent

We have an issue with 'open with:' (within get info options) not permanently remembering any changes.
We have Lion Server set up as OD and when users login any PDF or EPS files are set to open using Preview, users then change this via 'get info' to 'open with:' (change all) Acrobat and iIlustrator. But, this only works for the present session. If they move to another mac or a mac is restarted, the options revert back to Preview, not a permanently change to Acrobat and illustrator.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Group Policy For 2008 Terminal Server Users Default Open With Not Working

I'm trying to change the default open with behavior for jpg files on my terminal server. I created a Group Policy that changed it to MS Paint to Office 2010 Picture Manager. The policy appears to apply correctly but jpg files still open in
Paint. When a user is logged on, if they look at the properties of a jpg, it shows Photo Gallery as the program to open it but when opened, it opens in Paint.
Has anyone seen this behavior before?

Are you talking of the login help (support -> reset password) mask? There it makes few sense to ask for the old password, as the use case for this is a user who has forgotten his password! Nevertheless, it's not much work for example to reduce the needed input to userID for example (it's a small change in the corresponding JSP and within one small Java class, which checks the input; just done some days ago for a customer).
On the other hand, if a user know his password, he can choose "Personalize" (he has to have the corresponding role (in fact means the Portal Personalization workset), and from within that one, he can create a new password - just also by providing his old one, exactly as you expect.

I am Mac user, but I prefer Firefox to Safari...until recently.
Since the 8.0 upgrade the Firefox preferences I have already set about how I want e-mail attachments to open have been suspended.
Now, the only choice Firefox gives me is "save" or "cancel".
I receive numerous pdf documents. I have set them to open with preview, as the default.
...so back to Safari

as I add more projects), I'm going to want to assign issues and risks to other people and as head of our nascent PMO, I'm still going to want to see ALL of the issues and risks from Project Online (I am trying to manage the portfolio, after all). Is
there a setting somewhere I missed that would allow this, or am I stuck with just being able to see my own?

If you do need to consolidate risks and issues among a portfolio then you'd fall into report's creation with odata technology.
Paul's (a fellow MVP) has posted a while ago a tremendous
report pack which can be applied to Project Online with specific reports for risks and issues.
