Want to listen to TV audio with Bluetooth headphones

4Want to listen to TV audio with Bluetooth headphonesq <span class="smalltext">[size="">
<span class="smalltext">[size="">?[size="">?<div class="post">I have a Insignia bluetooth wireless headphones that I want to use to listen to my Viso VO37L flat screen TV. So I put a Soundblaster Audigy soundcard in my spare computer and connected the TV headphone jack to the input line of the Audigy?soundcard. I? now have the TV audio playing through the computers speakers. The problem is that no matter what I try I can't get the signal to the headphones. I have WIDCOMM bluetooth 5..0.3900 software installed on the computer and it works fine ,I can hear all Window XP sounds as well as the media player and other software audio. I tried using a few recording software programs thinking I could use the monitoring feature to hear the in-line input, but even though I could record the input and hear the replay I couldn't hear the monitor. This whole Idea seemed so simply but not I am thinking that "you can't get there from here". If anyone knows what I am missing I would appreciate the help. [email protected]

It is frustrating to find content not playable on Safari. Yahoo Music is one example. The Mac does come with adequate plug-ins - if only certain sites would cooperate too! Eventually, these limitations will go away. But for the moment there is a PC bias evident in certain web sites. When I run into the Safari wall, I use Firefox as an alternative. Seems it has an easier time with media content than Safari. Have you tried it?
Not sure why you had problems with the WMP download? Flip4Mac, which lets you view Windows Media content through Quicktime, would be a good alternative for Windows Media Player.

  • Can you airplay video from iPhone to Apple TV but listen to the audio through iPhone headphones?

I know this is a very specific use, but my wife sleeps during the day while I'm at home. To keep the house quiet, is it possible to airplay a video on my iphone to the Apple TV, but listen to the audio through my headphones plugged into the iPhone?

No, you would need to connect the headphones to the audtio out on the TV or strero being used.

  • Is there a way to listen to radio on iPod nano 7th gen with Bluetooth headphones?

I know the iPod nano 7th gen uses the headphones as an antenna. I know there will need to be some sort of antenna attached. Does anybody know if there is an antenna on the market that can be plugged into the headphone jack that will allow audio to be sent to a pair of Bluetooth headphones?

There is currently no such antenna available.

  • Need help with bluetooth headphones playback

I have recently began to use Motorola S305 bluetooth headphones on my desktop computer. The headphones synch and work for playback of other audio, however, they do not play back when I listen to iTunes (upgraded to iTunes 9 today).
I have checked and re-paired. When I test using the control panel or Windows Media Player, the headphones playback audio, however, when I play iTunes the sound reverts back to computer speakers.
I would appreciate if someone could help me figure out how to get my headphones to work so I can get the full benefit of the purchase.
    Thank you

    Topher,
I had the same problem too, but with a different headset...after some google searching and playing around, I found the solution. When your bluetooth headphones have a microphone, it actually uses a different service then the "stereo headphones" feature. When quicktime starts up in any capacity, it seems to default to whatever service that uses the microphone, not the speakers. All you need to do is change your microphone input to something else in Quicktime and it then defaults to the same playback service as everything else.
Find the quicktime player on your system and open it up. Under Edit -> Preferences -> Quicktime Preferences, select the Audio tab. Click the "Select Audio Playback Devices" button.
At this point, if you select your "Test Hardware" button, and you run through the test, I noticed that my microphone was recording, but my headphones were not playing back.
All I did was change the "Voice Recording" default device from the microphone device in my headphones to my computer's built in microphone. Save all changes. You should notice that when you hit the "Test Hardware" button again, everything works as advertised.
Hopefully that helps. It might be problematic if your bluetooth headphones have an included mic that you wanted to use in Quicktime. Good luck!

  • Qosmio G20: How to disable/workaround SCMS-T for adiosyn with bluetooth headphones?

    Greetings All,
I've recently purchased a set of bluetooth stereo headphones (Creative CB2350) and found that due to the inclusion of SCMS-T copyright protection I cannot audiosync directly to my laptops bluetooth stack (Qosmio G20). The headphones come with an audio jack adapter (bluetooth transmitter), however it runs on a single AAA battery and cannot last more than about an hour; so I need to connect without this.
Is there any way to disable or workaround the requirement for SCMS-T copyright-protection in the latest toshiba bluetooth stack? and if not why not?! I've paid good money for both my Qosmio and my Headphones and I'm quit infuriated at the deliberate inclusion of software/firmware designed specifically to prevent me from using my hardware for legitimate purposes (i.e. what they were designed to do).
    Please Help Me,
    Lee ([email protected])
PS: Frankly I didn't have much of a problem with DRM technology before this, but now I can see just how irritating and pointless DRM is; compare the number of people who actually use bluetooth devices for pirating (negligable) to the number of bluetooth headphones that do not support SCMS-T (alot if all my google searchs are anything to go by) and you see just how stupid the whole idea of DRM over bluetooth really is.
In my not so humble opinion big corporations like toshiba should railroaded over converluted pap such as SCMS-T as a matter of recourse; the end user doesn't want to spend several years downloading licenses and scouring the web only to find out his/her hardware is utterly useless. (sorry for the rant but that is how I feel).

    Hy there deepblue,
    Thanks for responding again.
Initially I had thought that the adapter/transmitter failed due to a dead battery, although I have since confirmed that the battery is not dead, in fact the adapter works fine (at least for a time). It would seem that the adapter simply shuts down at random intervals (it has happened a few times now) and I can't figure out for the life of me why; the adapter is designed to switch-off after 2 minutes of inactivity although each time it (randomly) switches off I have been recieving audio so perhaps there is something wrong with the auto switch-off function? or perhaps the batteries are in the process of dying?
I have can't recall seeing an estimate of battery lifetime for the adapter on the creative product website (that is not to say there isn't one) but the headset has an estimated continuous runtime of up to 8 hours (on its 2xAAA batteries) so I would assume that the adapter can last at least as long (on its 1xAAA battery); if not this amounts to a major design flaw in my opinion. Sadly the adapter doesn't come with an AC adapter, it is only little itself and I assume it would require one heck of a transformer. ;)
Bah, I'll try and get the blasted thing to work reliably over the next week or so and if I have no luck creative can sort it out. It would still be nice to use my headset without the aid of the audio jack, seeing that headset logo on my bluetooth 'radar' screen is a bit of a tease. ;)
Incidentally I have been probing furiously to find a set of bluetooth headphones which support SCMS-T and it would seem there is only one set on the market (by bluetake) and what's more it would seem that the SCMS-T is specifically designed to degrade sound quality (don't know to what extent but regardless this seems like 1 step forward followed by 5 steps back to me) which would seem incompatible with any bluetooth consumer audio products - Toshiba me thinks it is time to lock the proponents of SCMS-T in a cupboard somewhere and get to work on bluetooth stack v5.0. ;)

  • MacBook Pro loses connection with Bluetooth Headphones

    Hi,
Every time I turn off my bluetooth headphones and then turn them back on, my mid-2009 MBP loses connection with them and forces me to re-pair them. It comes up with an error where the only option is "Stop using headphones" - does anyone know a solution to this?
    My headphone are Sony DR-BT101.

Same problem here... With Mac OS Lion. Any solution to this?

  • Cannot listen to itunes via Jabra Bluetooth headphones?

My headset work with everything except listening iTunes thru them. I can chat with them, I can even pause and play itunes, but no music comes thru them, only the computer speakers
    do I need a driver ?

Using a headset needs several steps even needed if you have the latest computer or Mac OS X release. Please make sure to follow them in order.
Download the Apple Bluetooth Firmware Updater
    Install it
Remove as much USB devices from your computer as possible
Launch it from Applications > Utilities > Bluetooth Updater
Apply it to your adapter (takes very long and disconnects your Bluetooth mouse).
Start the Apple Bluetooth Assistant and select Headset. Do not use anything else!
Make your headset Bluetooth visible. Look up the manual of your headset how to do that.
Now select the headset in System Preferences > Sound.
In most cases step 3 is missed. You have to start the already installed updater yourself (do not ask me why).

  • Pavilion dv5. Bluetooth will connect but can't hear audio from bluetooth headphones.

They would work a few days ago, now they just connect and don't play audio.  I am running windows 7.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hello lg41s,
You not able to here sound from your head phones.
With sound it could be a lot of different things.
Here is a link that will walk you through some troubleshooting steps for the audio.
Your easiest fix since everything was working before the driver update is a System Restore.
This will take the system back to when everything was working correctly without affecting your personal files.
Here is a link on how to restore.
Clicking the White Kudos star on the left is a way to say Thanks!
Let me know how everything goes.
    Have a good day.

  • No audio with out headphones

The sound won't work on my iPad unless I'm using the headphone jack. It says something when I'm in ituens that it's iPad connected to a dock or something and it has been like this for a few days. How do I fix this?

I got water in the headphone jack and the ipad wouldn't play sound.  I tried using headphones inserted and removed to trick the ipad and it didn't work. I couldn't find anything fine enough to clean out the jack.  I tried resetting the general settings but it kept saying headphones instead of volume.
What worked was leaving it upside down, headphone jack down in a bowl of rice overnight so it would absorb any moisture.  That worked!
If you can't get it working, best to head into an Apple store and they will clean out the headjack port with blast of air to remove any dirt/ dust

  • I have iPhone 3GS, and everytime I go to listen to my music with my headphones the sound only goes to one ear and when I listen to music with the speakers at the bottom speaker the left speaker only works! Can someone PLEASE HELP ME?

My music only plays in my left ear when I'm wearing my headphones and when I'm listening to music without my headphones the music only comes out through the left speaker. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME,? YOUR HELP WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED.?

All iphone have one and only one speaker at the bottom.
Have you tried another set of earphones?  Maybe they are the problem?
Have you made sure that the headphones are inserted all the way?

  • Why won't logic express work with bluetooth headphones?

My headphones communicate fine with my iMac but for some reason when I use Logic I get silence. I have set the output in preferences to my headphones. and the iMac seems to take a while accepting this, but otherwise there does not seem to be problem except there is no sound.
    Anybody got any suggestions?

It seems you system is broken. The following is missing /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/ProKit.framework. I would assume that neither Final Cut Pro, Aperature nor iPhoto do run? You probably have to reinstall Lion.

  • Can i listen to music threw a bluetooth device with an ipod touch?

I want to listen to music threw a bluetooth device with my ipod touch 4g.  I paired 2 different bluetooth devices with my touch.  The recognized the devices in the bluetooth setting.  Then i went to music tapped the bluetooth icon and only, ipod touch and apple tv were recognized. It didn't list either bluetooth device. So,i couldn't get it to work.

    See:
iOS: Third-party Bluetooth headsets, headphones, and keyboards
Yes, they work if the profile used by the BT device is supported by the iPod. See:

  • Ipod touch 3.1.2 problems with Bluetooth Head Phones

I have a 2nd Generation 32MB Ipod Touch and having issues with the audio on Bluetooth Headphones. I have several, but currently using a Plantronics Voyager 855 and a Jabra Halo (currently the top bluetooth headphone for me in terms of quality).
The audio pauses/stops approximately every 5 seconds then resumes when using bluetooth for wireless Stereo. The happens when the screen shuts off. When the screen is one or dimming the stereo play is continuous.
I didn't notice this much with the original 3.0. It think the problems started with 3.1 so was hoping that the 3.1.2 fixed this issue, but I still have the problem.
    Anyone knows what's going on?

I had the same problem... but because it was happening on all four of my computers, they couldn't blame just one device. Contact iTunes support:
    http://www.apple.com/emea/support/contact/itunes/phone_contacts/
Tell them that someone else with the same problem got it solved when they (iTunes) found two "unknown downloads" that were clogging my connection to iTunes. Once they deleted those files, my uploading of apps and downloading of subscription episodes resumed.
