Want to logout of account when screensaver starts

I work with pranksters!! and have multiple user accounts on my computer...Can my mac be set up to log out of my account and return to main accounts page when my screen saver starts instead of just requiring a password and returning to current account?

Log out and it will always be at the login page. Alternatively, System Preferences->Security->set the log out after XX minutes to its lowest setting; however, a multi-user machine should never be left running in an user's account, so log out when you leave it is the best solution.

I've been reading about this issue but don't find any post that relates fan noise with screensaver.
I had fan noise problems similar to some posted... things got better,but now it only becomes unbearable when the screensaver starts.
Any ideas ?

I'm experiencing the same issue since I've replaced the standard Nvidea for an Ati Radeon HD3870 video-card. When the screensaver starts the noise of the fans increases. Don't understand it since it's just the solid colors effect.. :-s

QuickTime 7.1.3 video fails when screensaver starts?

I recently updated to QT 7.1.3 and since doing so I have found that any time my Windows XP system starts the screen saver that the QuickTime playback window breaks and shows my desktop pattern or other window that may have been overlaying it (and no video). Stopping and restarting playback does not fix this. The only way to get a movie to continue proper playback is to exit out of the player and restart it, and then to reopen the movie file in question. This seems very wrong.
I am running the Pro version of QuickTime 7.1.3.
Intel Windows XP Pro SP 2, Quadro Fx 1000

I think I may have previously had my screen saver disable, but instead used power management to turn off my display. And I forgot to re-configure it when I rebuilt my system. My bad. Thank you.

When to call to close account when contract ends

My contract is up on October 15 i want to close my account when contract ends since my account manager no longer wants to use the account any longer. so i wanted to know when do i exactly call Verizon to cancel before the date or the same day ? and how will the process of closing the account will be?

I swear that I was told if I did it even one day before the end of the contract I would pay a prorated etf. Also, if he wants to keep the number then I would port it out first the final day of the contract or he will loose the number. Make sure it is completely transferred and working before canceling. If that's not important to him then just call to cancel it when the time comes.
Normally, the service cancels with the port process, but I wouldn't trust them not to charge you an extra day or two.

How can I set Messages to log into my account when I launch it.

I find it inconvenient to have to have to switch from offline to available each time I start up Messages. Is there a way to auto login in to an account when I start up Messages.

gail from maine may have part of the answer but I an not sure it is all of it.
It seems you are talking about other accounts rather than the iMessages account as the iMessages account is not affected by the "when I Quit..." setting.
This means it should be AIM, Jabber or Yahoo types.
I would start by using the option in the General Section to Unlink multiple Buddy lists if you use them.
Under the Text Resizing slider is Buddy List stuff starting with Show All Buddy list in one List which is ticked (Enabled) by default.
This should show you the Buddy List as separate windows. (they are also listed in the Window Menu as separate items).
At the top left of each Buddy List is your Name (or Handle/ID for that Account) pulled from the Contact App > My Card.
Below that is the Current Status.
If you click this it shows the current Saved Status Messages (including the built in ones) and the iTunes Playing option.
At the bottom you can set to have All Buddy List show the same Message.
As you can see there is an Off Line option.
It should remember any Changes you make. If it is not it will return to the last setting.
If this is happening you will have lost Permissions to Write to the .plist involved.
Lets us know what is happening with this before we explain how to sort this.

Check that you do not run Firefox as Administrator.
Right-click the Firefox desktop shortcut and choose "Properties".
In the Compatibility tab, make sure that Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" is not selected.
Also check the Properties of the firefox.exe program in the Firefox program directory.

Why is Windows 7 Aero in Firefox crashes after the Screensaver starts when I am in Last.fm?

When I am listening to some music in Last.fm and the screensaver starts, the aero in Firefox is gone when I come back to the pc. I am using Windows 7 32bit. I do not get a message that the flash pluggin is crashed or some other message...

I have a similar issue in that coming back from Screensaver mode Firefox freezes up and generally the computer has to be restarted to get Firefox to work again. All other programs appear to work fine (Word, Excel, etc.). Just the internet browser. I just tried this that someone posted on the web that made sense, but have not verified it yet (it will be verified either later tonight or tomorrow sometime). You might want to try it.
Go To Device Manager via your control panel
Expand USB (Universal Serial Bus) Controllers
Got to the Properties of Each USB Hub
Go to the Power Management Tab and Uncheck all options if any are checked (this essentially does not allow your computer to turn them off to save power when it wants to)
Click OK (go through each one and a few others check for any power management tabs)
Again do this for all USB Root Hubs (and ck any Generic Hubs you may have)
Reboot you computer
Hopefully it works for you and me!

Why would Thunderbird ask "create a new Get Satisfaction account" when I want to post a question

I know I am in wrong place talking about Thunderbird but Mozilla is a name I trust.
When I want to ask a question in Thunderbird site, I had to make new account when I wanted to post the question it is asking to make another account or use Yahoo/Facebook/Twitter.
Because of all this kind of cheating and fake things I started using Mozilla products but it seems I was wrong.
Just enlighten why would two accounts are needed to post a question?

The power DVD app is active, and seems to download ok. You have already deleted the app?
I suspect what is happeneing is that a download is in your queue, and is blocking the queue until it completes, thus the message every time you try to do a down load. It may be failing because while it thinks you have the app, it is not finding it, and doesn't know what to do. ( sounds like a poorly designed download).
I think the way around this might be for you to resync with your iTunes, and let it reload the app onto your pad. Let it complete the download. Then, if you do not want the app, delete it again from your pad, and if you never want it, from I tunes as well.
The next time they do an update, you may wind up in the same situation, so if it happens again, until they fix the download routine, you will get stuck again.
So try the suggestion, and see if this clears it out.
The other option would be to open your account in I tunes on your computer, let it complete the download there.

I click the box 'do not ask me again' and it comes up EVERY TIME. I change things like I don't want history remembered, and when I reload FireFox again, it's back to the way it was BEFORE. EVERY SINGLE TIME. I don't know why this is happening, or how to fix it. What do I do??

I do not want to download another virus program.. I do not believe it is a virus. I am running the full version of Norton 360 and it is doing a daily scan. I have Windows 7, 64 bit OS.
This is very irritating !! If I wanted Yahoo I would ask for it !
