Want to make numbered tickets - 16 up

I am trying to make numbered tickets using a data merge in InDesign, but want them 16 to a page (on tabloid) so I can cut them. Does anyone know how to go about doing this? I have tried a data merge and used multiple paste but that messes up the data merge. Please help!!!!

That's a new one... There are two ways we do this. First by using the merge
dialog to do multiple records. This takes a little messing around with the
margins to get the proper position and n-ups you want but works quite well.
The problem with this method is it puts the records in ascending order on
each page, so when you go to cut them, the stacks will be out of order. Not
a big deal of you're doing a 100 or so, just sort the cut pieces. But if
you're doing thousands this is a pain.
The other method is to step and repeat your ticket set up on the page as
many times as you want.. Then create a CSV file with in your case, 16 data
coloums. Call them pos1, pos2 pos3 etc. Then if for example you are number
to 1000, each colomn will have 63 numbers. For example pos1 will number 1 to
63, pos2 will number 64 to 127 and on. Then when you do you're data merge,
select that file as the data file, and place one merge field in each
position. Then when these are cut in stacks, they will be in order. sounds
complicated but it's really simple once you've done it and even if you start
with a blank Excel file to create the number columns, it shouldn't take more
that 10 minutes or so for the entire.

In case you're not clear - iPad/iPhone storage, and iCloud storage, are totally separate. Buying more iCloud storage does not give you more storage space on your device. Your device has a fixed storage space for apps and data (e.g., 16GB - which is more like 12GB in real terms). iCloud storage just allows you to store more documents, mail, photos, etc, in the cloud.

It depends on whether you want the numbers to move with the rows if and when you sort, or if you always want the rows numbered top to bottom.
There's a function that returns the row number: ROW(). Placing that in a cell always displays the number of the row. If you want to number once and then let the numnbers follow the data around, you can Fill with a sequence by typing "1" in the first row and "2" in the second row. Then select both cells and drag the Fill handle down the table to extend the series. The fill handle is the little open circle in the lower right corner of the selection.

I have several issues that I hope you can help me out with. I am a professional photographer with a Mac with OS X 10.9.4:
- I can only make ONE contact sheet in CS6 (from AUTOMATE) from pictures indicated in Bridge. If I want to make another contact sheet I need to shut down and restart CS6.
- Camera RAW: if I change any setting in Camera RAW (except exposure), having first optimized the exposure, the exposure will automatically return to zero. Sometimes when I've set exposure and cropped the picture in Camera RAW Plug-In, the effects are lost just by opening the picture in CS6.
- Sometimes if I crop a picture in Camera RAW, it may be impossible to open it again from Bridge!
- I cannot do lens corrections in Camera RAW, at all. The Camera RAW comment is that "it cannot load the correct lens type". Why?Are you writing that when you select a large number of images in the bridge like a hundred thumbnails when you then use Bridge menu Tools>Photoshop>Contact Sheet II that Photoshop only produces a single contact sheet for the first few thumbnails and fails to produce additional contact sheets for the other selected thumbnails? Photoshop contact sheet II script should create as many contact sheet as needed for the numbers of thumbnails selected. Perhaps the script is hung or you have exhausted your machine resources.
ACR Crop tool does not crop the RAW file it records crop settings to be used during the conversion process. Camera RAW DATA is not altered. The only changes made to RAW Files is ACR Metadata may be added. Anything you do in ACR can be un-done in ACR. If you can not open a RAW File in ACR the Files is either corrupt or from a new camera ACR does not support yet. ACR should not corrupt RAW files.
If you do not have a lens profile for ACR I think you should still be able to do lens correction manually in ACR.
Some of what you write I don't follow could you post some screen captures of your problems often a picture helps. -

In Finder, click once on an Excel document then Get Info (command i)
Choose Open with: Numbers
Then Change All... to make Numbers the app for all Excel documents.
The same for Word and Powerpoint

Chris, The sequence number is the first column of numbers, to the left of the Name column. It always goes 1, 2,3 etc. It is not the same as the Track Number, which has its own column.
As a precaution before burning, make sure that Shuffle is tunred off, and that you right-click the playlist name and choose 'Copy to Play Order" (although technically they should not affect the burn). -

i want to make a simple line chart using the data in two nonadjacent columns.
it seems that the easiest way to do this is to export the sheet to google docs and use THEIR charting, which is a two-click deal.
is there an easy way to do this in numbers?

available everywhere, basic, more difficult with actual data flexibility, but you can use what you've got.
the whole emphasis on numbers seems to be how pretty i can make displays, but not a lot of emphasis on making it easy to make things work.
can anyone shed some light on how to make this simple instead of pretty?You can definitely use the technique I mentioned to order the columns to make it easy to chart:

Then highlight the data in the table to chart, and selec the chart type from the menu (I suggest the bar chart which is the first item in the chart tool menu):

I've just spent twenty minutes trying to get a 'specific' answer to my question -- reading through previous posts ... and I still haven't found it. One of the things I love about this forum, all forums, is that I can ask a specific question and usually get an answer (and sometimes even GIVE an answer) in very short order, avoiding spending huge amounts of time reading irrelevant material. I make films. I use about five very complicated apps non-stop all day long (sometimes all night too). My brain hurts from reading manuals. My eyes hurt worse. It would never be my intention to abuse a forum that is so good to me. And you can't imagine my appreciation level when I do get a quick concise answer to something I can't solve myself.

I want to reformat my external hard drive using Mac OS Extended (Journaled, Encrypted ) but before formatting it, I want to make sure that if I loose the hard drive or the hard drive get stolen, no one will be able to retrieve or recover the information on it so could you tell me what kind of encryption will be used or is there any way to recover the information?

and one more that kff field working is fine for ex display any text pled displayed properly and only problem is not set the value and HrSitKeyFlex6 and HrSitKeyFlex7 fields are perfectly get the values but not pront HrSitKeyFlex8 that only my issue....

I want to make a slideshow to view on my television with image's duration ranging from seconds to an hour or more and I want to use my iPhone or iPad mini to control the television through my Apple tv.
I've been unable to locate an app that will do this. The Photos app that comes with the phone or iPad has extremely limited duration controls. PhotoStream seems to load everything from my phone or iPad not allowing me to just load up a set group of images.
iPhoto for iPad is getting some terrible recent reviews. I tried a couple other free apps but they don't use Airplay.
I can do something like this with iPhoto and my MB Air, but it's kind of ugly to have the computer open in order to connect by Airplay to my Apple TV. I've thought the iPad or iPhone would be a lower profile controller.
Am I out of luck?Thanks for your help. Since I'm uninterested in loading all my photos (the only option) into photostream, I won't be able to use the settings in ATV. I guess I'm just stuck with using iPhoto on my MB Air. Thanks again.

When I turn my computer on (Windows 7) I receive a message that Apple wants to make a change to the hardware. I click on yes but nothing happens. The change has something to do with Apple "push". I recently had a problem with"push" on iTunes when I tried to sync my iPod Touch. I have latest software for iTunes and iPod. Can anyone tell me what to do to get this change to install?

Want to make my Ipad 4 into a second monitor
I have an iPad 4 and a macbook pro and I want to connect them and make my ipad a second monitor. I know that I have to download an app but I want to make sure that I get the best/right one.
I also saw that I can connect my ipad to my computer and control my computer from my ipad, so if anyone has experience with either of these things let me know!If you plan on using your iPad as a semi permanent second display when working at your Mac, if you plan to do this for long periods of time, make sure your iPad is plugged into power.
These remote display apps tend to be more of a drain on the iPad's battery. Especially so if the remote display app uses Bluetooth instead of over WiFi.
I like and use an app called Air Display.
For using your iPad as a remote client to run your Mac remotely, there are a few decent apps for thiis, but it depend so what you really want to do.
I wanted remote control of my Mac, locally, so I use a remote app called SplashTop remote.
If you need remote location control of your Mac, also, there are other apps for that like LogMeIn and Team Viewer to name a few. -

I have just "lost" ( cannot open) all my saved Invoices in the Document folder. All I am getting is " cannot open, Invoice ** is used bey another user, do you want to make copy? " That doesn't work either. I can't get anything on the time capsule either. How can I reset to an earlier time? Or what can I do?
Thank youDid you recently reinstall the OS then copy all your files back over? Do a Get info on one of the documents and see if your current UserName is listed and has Read & Write permissions. If not select the Documents folder and check that for Read & Write permissions for your UserName. If it doesn't have R & W permissions Add it so it does.
