Want to make trickey 'wipe' effect

Flash CS3:
I would like to make a series of horizontal images change
like a slide show but using the effect that I believe is called a
'wipe' like a slow windshield wiper motion but with a soft
feathered edge; Like one image being 'brushed' away with the soft
edge to show the next image below it. I'd like to repeat this for
three or more images.
I don't want the image to move or pull away, just the feather
edge scrolling across the image leaving the alpha zero behind as
the first image is wiped cleanly away.
I hope I explained that correctly. Can you help me think of a
way to accomplish this in Flash?

If you want a Picture in Picture effect, stack one still on top of the other with a connect edit. Use Transform to scale and reposition the top image.

How do you change the direction of a Tween Wipe effect

Hi all,
Completely new to the forums and I hopefully my query is straight forward. How do you change the direction in the pre-built tween effects available within Flash CS3 (primarily the Wipe effect). Example code:

OR

Sorry for posting something so pointless!
You simply add 'startPoint:5' onto the end i.e.
var Animate_Box_2:Object = {type:Wipe, direction:Transition.IN, duration:1, easing:Strong.easeInOut, startPoint:5'};
TransitionManager.start(Box_2, Animate_Box_2);
startPoint:5' = can be any number depending on the direction of the Wipe you want.

What you really want is a way of automatically mirroring the the X and/or Y coordinates of the keyframes within the effect. This ability would be very useful.
But right now there's no way to do that. You'd have to do it manually. That effect actually uses the Slide parameter to generate the movement (instead of a discreet X/Y coordinate for the position.) Changing the first keyframe value of the Slide parameter to a negative number still doesn't give the effect I think you're looking for.
So, it's probably easier to just rebuild the effect the way you want it from scratch.

I want to make fancy arrows in cs5

I want to make an arrow that starts out wide and narrows to a smaller point. This would be similar to a shooting star effect. I did watch this video on how to make arrows and being able to bend them. Artbrush in CS 5 is not necessary except in certain cases.
You can make a custom arrow head in CS 5 pretty easy and to any shape you wish and the head can be scaleable.
1 There are two ways the create the arrow heads one with filled paths for head and tail and a stroke for he shaft. THis is the way the default arrowheads are made.
The problem here is when you scale the head it scales and changes weight in relation to the shaft in most cases this is desirable
Notice how the arrow head scaled compared to the shaft
2 The other way is strokes for the arrow head and tails and stroke for the shaft.
In this case the arrow remains the same weight in relation to the shaft as the original stroke.
You have to open the packages (right or control click the Illustrator icon to access the packages where you will find this
Open the Arrowheads.ai and follow the instructions but remember what I wrote above
you create a shaft that will be the back most object in that arrow head symbol, once you make the arrow head you make it a symbol and title it say Arrow 40 and place an instance on the canvas I guess you can add a new page or in crease the dimension of the page do not delete any of the preset arrowheads.
BTW I made the arrowhead for number 2 above.

- I can only make ONE contact sheet in CS6 (from AUTOMATE) from pictures indicated in Bridge. If I want to make another contact sheet I need to shut down and restart CS6.
- Camera RAW: if I change any setting in Camera RAW (except exposure), having first optimized the exposure, the exposure will automatically return to zero. Sometimes when I've set exposure and cropped the picture in Camera RAW Plug-In, the effects are lost just by opening the picture in CS6.
- Sometimes if I crop a picture in Camera RAW, it may be impossible to open it again from Bridge!
- I cannot do lens corrections in Camera RAW, at all. The Camera RAW comment is that "it cannot load the correct lens type". Why?

Are you writing that when you select a large number of images in the bridge like a hundred thumbnails when you then use Bridge menu Tools>Photoshop>Contact Sheet II that Photoshop only produces a single contact sheet for the first few thumbnails and fails to produce additional contact sheets for the other selected thumbnails? Photoshop contact sheet II script should create as many contact sheet as needed for the numbers of thumbnails selected. Perhaps the script is hung or you have exhausted your machine resources.
ACR Crop tool does not crop the RAW file it records crop settings to be used during the conversion process. Camera RAW DATA is not altered. The only changes made to RAW Files is ACR Metadata may be added. Anything you do in ACR can be un-done in ACR. If you can not open a RAW File in ACR the Files is either corrupt or from a new camera ACR does not support yet. ACR should not corrupt RAW files.
If you do not have a lens profile for ACR I think you should still be able to do lens correction manually in ACR.
Some of what you write I don't follow could you post some screen captures of your problems often a picture helps.

A friend gave me her daughter's iPad and her Apple ID password. I downloaded a few free apps and want to make an
in app purchase now. I signed out of her account, signed in with mine and tried it. Said the app was 'bought' with another
Apple ID. So I deleted the app and was planning to get it again with my account. Says "This update is not available for this
Apple ID either because it was bought by a different use or the item was refunded or cancelled".
This is weird. Now I don't have the app anymore...and I can't get it.

What to do:
If you got it as a present you should wipe the iPad clean before you use it as your own. Content bought with an Apple ID cannot be transferred.
Do in Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content & Settings to reset to factory settings.
Make sure Find My iPad is off (Settings > iCloud > Find My iPad)

Want to make 3d sphere, 3d revolve isn't doing what I want

So I've got illustrator CC and I'm trying to map a pattern of a golf ball on to a sphere but it isn't doing what I'd like - it's distorting my circles the wrong way. I found a blog post about using a custom plugin, but the plugin looks like it's outdated. Wondering if there is a way to get the desired effect in CC that I'm missing? Hi, i'm trying to do a 'heat' effect, but i want to make a continuous movement of it (not a loop, but a almost linear movement) by choosing the options i only get distortions that advance in time but does not keep the same continuous movement, which is the best option to do it? or is there any other option besides turbulent displace option?

Displacement Map and Compound Blur together might do well (you'll have to have a precomp containing a layer with Fractal Noise to drive both effects).
Alternatively, Video Copilot has a nice heat distortion plugin.

Transparency issue within linear wipe effect

Hello,
my client wishes some special linear wipe transitions for his new image movie. Due to the fact, that the transition should have a specified angle i used the "linear wipe" effect to make some presets.
To get a smooth transition i tried to use the feathered edge option. As soon as i choose a value above 9 pixels, the whole layer gets a little bit transparent (approximately 5%) and you can see all video tracks underneath the clip.
I have no idea how to solve this problem. First, i thought that this issue occures only in the preview monitor, but you can see the slight transparency even in the final render. I am surprised that the "linear wipe" effect works perfectly within After Effects, even it is the same plugin file (.aex).
So i tried to import the whole premiere project file into after effects. unfortunately without success.
My current version of Premiere is "Adobe Premiere Pro CC v7.2.2"

Well, if it is locked with a passcode; the only way for someone to use it would be for them to guess your passcode or restore it as new in iTunes. If they restore it, it wipes out all your information and puts the device back to factory settings.
 if you have iCloud setup; you can go to iCloud.com on a computer and sign in with your Apple Id and Password and you can possible track the device; also give the option to send a sound or message to the device; also you can remotely lock it with a passcode or remotely wipe it to factory settings;

1) authorize iTunes on the new machine for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.

For something very simple like this, you can use the Numbers effect.
