Want to purchase an iMac for family computing.

I have been a Microsoft Networking IT guy for over 15 years. Home PC finally died and want to upgrade to an iMac.  With another PC i would just add harddrive as another drive and copy off data including itune library.  How is this possible with an iMac.

You have many options:
1. The Apple store  will do this for you for free if you buy your iMac from store. Not so sure if you buy online if you can then take it instore for them to do.
2. You could use an external Sata drive (or IDE if your that old ) caddy to connect the drive to your iMac to copy all your stuff accross.
EDIT guy above suggest the same method
3. The easiest way would be to use migration assistant, take a quick google on it and it should answer all of your questions. It is built into all macs so you would just need to install it on a windows PC and temparly plug your drive into that windows pc.
