Want to register for BT Infinity

You go through the website, all the links point to BT.com/infinity but when on the page, there is no form or place to sign for interest.
The Exchange in Barnet is upgraded for BT infinity, some of the cabinets are done but talking to sales and re visiting the website, still no joy on when the roll out for the fiber optic circuit will be for EN4 8BG. Frustrating!!!!!
Surely BT can make it simpler to register for interest in BT Infinity.

BT is making so difficult for to place order for BT Infinity. They spend enough time on tele sales but when i call them to place an order. It is remindimg me off the old days of BT or should I say Post Office when one waited for telephone line for months.
I have checked with BT infinity website for eligibilty and my address can have new Bt Infinity.
Please someone at BT Infinity sales review your procedures and make it easier for a direct customer to place an order.
Your are pushing me towards going with different vendors,,,,,,,

Register for attending a conference?

I'm busy putting together the finishing touches on a page for our Church where people can register for attending a conference. I am not a hardcore programmer.
I need to have the following, if possible:
1. Each registration to have a unique reference number. (Can this be the auto-increase Primary number?)
2. Someone wants to register for more than one person, how would how do this? I would preferably want to have the other people's name & surname.

If the purpose of this DB is to simply to have a list of names of those attending, and the people filling in the form will not have access to "update" their information, a simple html form that feeds the data into your MySQL db via a php script should do the trick.
In your DB, you could create a column and would be a primary field, auto-increment that would create your unique id number, but I'm not sure you need to use that. Unless this is going to be attended by thousands of people, I would think using their email address as an ID should be fine. Even if you have several people use the same email with different names, it does not sound like it should matter and as long as you are not requiring unique email addresses, it should be fine.
In your php processing script, you can email back the registrant saying they are resistared and include the where and when information they would want to have.
Unless there is some apsect of the event I am unaware of, this should work fine.

by any chance did you do a back up to iCloud? if not there isn't a way to retrieve lost info with out a back up.

I can not get to iPhone screen, so no way to get to Settings. That is the problem. When I connect phone to iTunes I get screen asking to insert SIN card. On the phone I'm getting Cinfigure screen asking Launguage , Country or Region, Wi-Fi, ( I can connect to my home wi-fi), and last screen "Activating your iPhone". Registering for Caller Display. Do I need to?

Quick history:
Mod on this forum arranges new deal for me for combined Infinity/Call package.
I agree to new deal on condition that I get everything on my account as it was.
New contract starts (Broadband/Calls/Line Rental) on 10th of September 2013.
My Call Package includes BT Privacy, etc. at no extra cost. See pic below...
A few days later news breaks that BT intend to start charging for the same calling features.
I write to the Mod asking if I will have to start paying the fee for these services. He doesn't reply. Eventually I get a reply (obviously automated) telling me the info is on the website, and links to same.
I write back asking for a proper reply to my question; this time I get a reply from 'Yunus', but it doesn't answer the question, (he only confirms that line rental will go up 6.4%), so I try other means.
I use the price increase checker linked to on the other thread here; it tells me the Infinity/Calls Package will go up, but there is no mention of any changes to my Calling Features prices.
I try Live Chat; holy sh!t, these people are useless! Are they paid to just tell you want to hear?
First guy tells me 'no increase' in any of my prices';
second guy says line rental going up, Infinity going up, but caller features package will not go up as they were included free in the package I signed up for with the Mod here
third, it's a girl; she says everything will go up, and if I choose to leave I need to pay a full year's charges for cancelling.
Plainly, they are not all correct.
All I want to know is, what is going up? When? Do I have to sign up/pre-register for this free year's Caller Display thing? Won't that mean my contracts for BB/Calls, and Line Rental will have different end dates?
I have read the big long thread about the rises, so do not require a repeat of the answers given there as most of them contradict each other anyway, just like Live Chat.
It would be helpful to get a reply from a Mod (preferably the one who signed me up to this new contract in the first place) and not from any of the BT 'groupies'.

Want to upgrade to BT Infinity

Hi, I called BT just now and Infinity is available in my area. But before I upgrade, I have a few questions. I am currently on BT broadband option 3 and the main wired connection (the hub to computer) is in the living room and I have a few other devices connected wirelessly around the house.
1) Would new software be required installation on the main computer which has the existing wired (hub) connection? I cannot log into that particular computer at the moment.
2) My main phone socket is in the middle floor and I use a long modem cable to connect to the hub which is downstairs in the living room. I also have no electrical sockets near the phone socket. Would this cause any problem because I am reading that an electrical socket needs to be close to the phone socket to enable Infinity connection?
3) There is a new hub that comes with Infinity; idoes this have a different look to the black hub that you get with Option 3?
4) Any customers of Infinity here? Is there a noticeable difference in speed? My theoritical speed is up to 20MB, but I usually receive no more than 7MB (according to online speed tests). What kind of speed improvement can I expect with Infinity. I live in Highbury in Islington so would assume I would be quite close to an exchange.

1) No new software is required as such, but the BT engineer will want access to the PC you want to see connected to Infinity to run the updated install CD. If you've got another PC you can always present that to the engineer and he'll do what's necessary. You can then revert back to your preferred PC on your own. It should work fine.
2) The engineer can install a cable of up to 30 metters between your master socket and the Openreach modem, which is normally installed next to where you want your hub. Alternatively, the engineer can install this special cable from your master socket to somewhere you have power, put the Openreach modem there, then you provide an ethernet cable from this location to where you want your hub - this cable needs to be in place when the engineer arrives because the engineer will not install or wait for you to install this second cable.
3) It looks exactly the same but has different ports on the back and runs a different version of the firmware.
4) Check www.bt.com/infinity for a speed prediction.

We had a lot of complaints last year from organizations who sent several employees to our training. It took a long time for them to process these one at a time. How do people register for more than one person on a form?

This entirely depends on the form you create, you can add multiple choice button and ask for the no. of employees the organization wants to register.
Also, you can add corresponding text field for the names.

Sarvesh, I don't know, what's done, cos' these thing are done by our basis team. But all adapter metadata seem to be there, cos' I'm able to create JDBC channel.
But in Adapter monitoring I can't select JDBC while others I can.
If I switch the combobox (Adapter monitoring) to "Only installed and started adapters", JDBC disappears.
But why are then metadata of JDBC visible? Why I am able to create communication channel of JDBC type?
So, what to do now to make JDBC work?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve your problem.
If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
When you launch Terminal, a text window will open with a line already in it, ending either in a dollar sign ($) or a percent sign (%). If you get the percent sign, enter “sh” and press return. You should then get a new line ending in a dollar sign.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste (command-V). The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for your password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator rights.
The test may take up to a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. There is no indication of progress until it's done. Wait for the line "[Process completed]" to appear in the Terminal window. If you don't see that line within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report your results. No harm will be done.
When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
When you post the results, you might see the message, "You have included content in your post that is not permitted." That's because the forum software falsely identifies something in the post as a violation of the terms of use. If that happens, please post the results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

[Bug?] DSC - Registering for Server Events

I am trying to register for alarm events.
This works fine by using the Register for Shared Variable Events method.
Since I have a lot of SVs and a dedicated server, I thought listen to the server would be much easier to implement.
The LabVIEW Help implies that using the Request System Event Notifications.vi will do the trick:
However, I can't seem to Register for Server Events - it doesn't work.
The code seems quite simple (below) - I just want to listen to all SVs on the localhost (default).
All the Events are coming through to the DSC (viewed in MAX), however, using the Server method I don't get any notifications through the Event Structure.
Am I doing something wrong? - Or is this a bug?
Is there somewhere I need to configure stuff?
Or does it just not send me Alarm and Notification Events of Shared Variables?
What does it send me then?
I couldn't even get the Example in NI Example Finder to work (labview\examples\lvdsc\Event Structure Support).
It shows the SV Registered Event but not the Server/System Event.
Attached is a simple project I used to demonstrate this - a SV configured for a HiHi Alarm:
The work around is to list out all Shared Variables and just read that from disk and load it into the application etc...
However, it is much more desirable to subscribe to the server and get all SV Events - is this possible?

I gave it a go using the following naming

I can use though and it returns the local SV List, so I think I have the naming correct?

How do register for an account with firefox?

I thought I had registered for Firefox - but it was Mozilla add-nos. No where do I see where I can set up an account with my info for auto-fill and my cell number so I can download Firefox Aurora onto my cell.
You have a lot of info but it all seems to revert to Mozilla. I get that but I am trying to use you as primary web browser for my pc and cell, but just can't find where to start a Firefox account.
I thought I was crazy, but I asked around and there are many that can't figure it out either and have told me you all just want to keep your community as is and not let anyone else in? That sound very odd. But it is an odd world.
