Want to reinstall maverick in my mac book pro

i upgraded to maverick but i want to clean my mac so i want to reinstall it in a clean way and put my mac book pro like coming  from factory
is it possible to do that from internet?

This will install Mavericks by Internet Recovery:
Install Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion Using Internet Recovery
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Internet Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-OPTION- R keys until a globe appears on the screen. Wait patiently - 15-20 minutes - until the Recovery main menu appears.
Partition and Format the hard drive:
1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
2. After DU loads select your newly installed hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion. Mavericks: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks and click on the Install button. Be sure to select the correct drive to use if you have more than one.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet
if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

After updating to Mavericks on my Mac Book Pro I have 3 user accounts, all me and all admins. I have gone to system preferences>users & groups and tried to select the users I want to delete and press - to get rid of them, but it wont even let me click on them or select them in any way.

Are you trying to install a 32 bit or 64 bit version of Windows 8?
Which versions of Windows are supported with Boot Camp 5?
64-bit versions of Windows 8 and Windows 7 are supported using the Boot Camp 5 Support Software. If you need to use a 32-bit version, you need to use Boot Camp 4 Support Software, and you must use Windows 7. 32-bit versions of Windows 8 are not supported via Boot Camp.
You can get more info on BootCamp here:

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can purchase Lion from the Mac App Store. You will need to meet the requirements for Lion, but the Mac App Store will tell you whether your Mac is capable of running Lion or not.

  • I tried to install OS X Mavericks but my Mac Book Pro (of mid-2009 with OS X 10.7.5) crashed

I tried to install OS X Mavericks but my Mac Book Pro (of mid-2009 with OS X 10.7.5) crashed. I had to change the Hard Disk. How can I install OS X Mavericks on my Mac laptop safely without going to another crash? I checked and found that my lap top is eligible for the upgrade to Mavericks. Can't understand what happened. Please help and advise how to do the upgrading. Thanks.

I could not report the crash as my lap top was out of order. So now it's working. Should I report the crash and to whom? Do you have any link for that?

  • Impossible to download Mavericks on a mac book pro 15'' 2008 with lion

I cannot download Mavericks on my mac book pro. I cleaned it with Onyx, repared the permissions, gave my id in App store, which was recognized, deactivated my Intego Antivirus, no way.
It works on a mac mini with snow leopard, but it does'nt put the file under the downloads so that I can copy it.
My Mac is given as compatible with Mavericks.
I found much messages on Internet about analogous problems, but no fix.
Is Apple aware of this? Is anybody knowing a remedy?
    Regards
    Bruno

    Yes, I have 10.7.5.
I don't get any error message. It just does not download. But it does on a mac mini on the same network, and with an older version (snow leopard). Very strange.
It would be helpful if I could download a full version of Maverics on any computer (inclusive Windows PC

  • I had Mavericks on my Mac book pro. Now the reinstall does not complete download

    Hello,
I am new here so please excuse me for asking silly questions. I am using a Mac book pro 17" I had updated it from Mountain lion to Mavericks but the book was over heating and many times it used to shut down due to over heat. I tought maybe the system has not installed Mavericks properly so I tried to reset the book to factory setting by re-installing the IOS Mavericks.
After an erase and reinstall IOS the download stops after 70 to 80 % download and asks me to go to purchase store. I do not understand why this is happening. Now the Mac Book is unusabe due to no IOS.
    Would some one please help.
    Thanks
    Ron

  • HT4539 i want to by an ebook in Greek for How to Use the MacOS Lion but i want to download it on a mac book pro 10.7.4 will i be able to read it????

i want to by an ebook in Greek  from iTunes explaning the use for the Lion, but iam not sure if ill be able to read it on my Mac book pro 10.7.4 can you help me with an answer?????

You would have to change the iTunes country in order to download the eBook in Greek, but there's a problem with that.
Your credit or debit card credentials must be associated with the same country where you reside.
"Although you can browse the iTunes Store in any country without being signed in, you can only purchase content from the iTunes Store for your own country. This is enforced via the billing address associated with your credit card or other payment method that you use with the iTunes Store, rather than your actual geographic location."
From here >  The Complete Guide to Using the iTunes Store | iLounge Article
Keep in mind, iBooks available from the iTunes store cannot be used on your Mac. Two different operating systems. iOS vs Mac OS X.

  • I want to change my default wifi mac book pro

The first time I used my mac book pro I selected a wifi. I dont use this wifi anymore, I use another one. But every time I open the mac it chooses the the first wifi. I dont know how to changes this. I want the new wifi to bee the default one. Thanks!

Not sure what your question has to do with an AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme or Time Capsule.
    On your Mac......
Open System Preferences (gear icon on the dock)
    Open Network
Click on WiFi on the left
Click Advanced at the lower right
Your Mac will connect first to the network listed at the top of the list
Drag the network that you want to use first to the top of the list
Make sure that there is a check mark in the box next to Remember networks this computer has joined
No other boxes should be checked
    Close System Preferences
    Restart your Mac

i want use tally accounting software in mac book pro

What is your Mac OS X version in Apple menu -> About This Mac?
If it is 10.7 or later, search http://www.roaringapps.com/ for solutions that match your operating system.
If it is 10.6 to 10.6.8, see this http://snowleopard.wikidot.com/
Earlier versions of Mac OS X are harder to find software for:
If you aren't running at least 10.6.8, you pretty much have the same compatibility as any 10.4.4 through 10.6.7 system, and can upgrade for limited cost if any:
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-2455
    Beyond 10.7 it gets complicated:

  • HT2589 Why did the App store make me purchase Pages again?  I already bought Pages, Keynote and Numbers for my Ipad and I want to download them on my Mac Book Pro and they aren't in the purchases tab.

Why did the app store make me purchase Pages again?  I already bought Pages, Numbers and Keynote for my Ipad and want to download them onto my Mac Book and they aren't in the purchases tab.  I thought I would try clicking on the buy button for Pages, thinking, it would say I already purchased this app, but it didn't.  Where are all my purchases?  I used the same Apple ID I use for all my Apple devices.  Help!  I really don't want to buy them all again.

The version of Pages, Keynote and Numbers for the Mac will be different than the iOS version and will require a separate purchase.

Since iPhoto came preinstalled on your MBP along with Lion you'll have to go to the App Store, check Purchases
