Want to Remove  "drag photo here" in background and have nothing

Hi there,
I am using idvd 4 and the "Transparent Black Theme". I don't want to drag a photo onto the background, but just have it grey. I burned my dvd and it had the words "drag photo or movie here" in the background still. How do I take those words off?
Thanks!

okay, so there is no option in idvd to remove
"drag photo..." ?
Sure there is...
It will just appear unless I drag
something into that space?
... and this is the option.

in iPhoto, I want to copy certain photos in an event and then have the copies in another event WITHOUT removing the original photos from their original event; how to do that?

The only way to do that is to export the image to a new file and then re-import it.
It's not really the intended way of working as it uses twice the disk space and is inefficient.
Use Albums instead. A Photo can be in any number of albums and use no extra disk space as it just simply references the image in the Library. Albums can be sorted any way you want - including manaually - and can have image from anywhere in the Library just by drag and drop.

  • Are you sure you want to remove existing photos and sync photos from this computer?

I have a 64Gb iPad running the current version of ios7 on which I store around 15,000+ photos. Every time I add a few new photos to iPhoto and then try to sync the iPad through iTunes (current version) I get the message in the title. It takes about 6 hours every time I want to sync my photos because it erases and re-loads all 15,000+ onto the iPad. Also when I sync my iPad the process fills up the Home>Pictures>iPhoto>(show package contents)> iPod backup file with about 80+ Gb of backup files so I can never fully sync my iPad in one go as the process fills up the 70 or so Gb of free space on my hard drive. Every time I sync I have to stop halfway through delete the file and sync the rest. Why can't my iPad just sync the new photos? Please help. Note: this is not a new iPad, this is not a new mac. It used to work fine befor why not now?

An iPod can only be synced with one iPhoto library. If it has been synced with another library previously, the photos synced from that library will be removed from the iPod. Have you been switching between iPhoto libraries? You need to switch back to the iPhoto library that you want to sync with, before connecting your iPod.
The library you are using for syncing, needs to contail all photos that you want to sync to your iPod.

  • "are you sure you want to remove existing photos.."?

I just had to get a new hard drive (for my 2/12 year old Imac!)   Did the time machine backup, all seems good.  Now trying to sync photos from Imac to the Ipad.   I'm getting this message:
"Are you sure you want to remove existing photos and sync photos from this computer?  Photos synced to "xyz" from other photo libraries or folders will be removed and photos will be synced from this computer.  Photos taken with "xyz" Ipad will not be affected"    Choices are "cancel" or "remove and sync".
Does this mean that if I "remove and sync" that photos on my Ipad that say, I played around with in some photo app and are now in my camera roll,.. will be lost??   I'm confused by this message.
also, I turned off photo stream because it was driving me nuts.
Can anyone please help me?   There are about 350 photos on my Imac that I want on my Ipad..     thanks!!

  • I want to take a photo, of a person, and put in it in the middle of a flower. How do I do that?

Never used this before and am not sure if I'm doing this right.
I want to take a photo, of a person, and put it in the middle of a flower. How do I do that?

In order of price here are some suggestions:
    Seashore (free)
    The Gimp (free)
    Graphic Coverter ($45 approx)
    Acorn ($50 approx)
    Pixelmator ($50 approx)
    Photoshop Elements ($75 approx)
There are many, many other options. Search on MacUpdate. You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.

  • I want to take the photos off my iPhone and put them directly onto an external hard disk. I want to bypass iPhoto altogether. When I link my iPhone to my computer, it only opens in iTunes, which only gives me the option to save my photos to iPhoto. Help!

I want to take the photos off my iPhone and put them directly onto an external hard disk - I don't have any room left on my computer. I want to bypass iPhoto altogether. When I link my iPhone to my computer, it only opens in iTunes, which only gives me the option to save my photos to iPhoto. Help!  This is seriously frustrating!.
Additionally, I'd like to be able to take the 2000+ photos out of iPhoto and put them on a disk in a folder. I have managed to export them to the hard disk but it's just plonked all 2000+ photos in a list - not ideal if I want to use it for anything else. And then I have to manually delete the photos from iPhoto. Is there not a quick and easy way of dealing with this?
Anyone got any bright ideas? Thanks for your help!

I too would like to be able to do this. Just put them where i want the. IFTT a scripting app will put the images in dropbox for you , but its been pretty iffy.

  • I want to export my photos with the title and info attached

I want to export my photos with the title and info attached but cannot seem to do it with this new os.

Are you confusing Titles and Filenames by any chance?
When you email you're sending a file. The email client sees the Filename. The title is in the Exif metadata of the file and the email app doesn't see this - neither will the Finder or filebrowser.
You can export (as above) and opt to use the Title as Filename - it's there at the Filename section.

  • My iPhone 5s is stolen and I want to restore iPhone photos from iCloud. I have use iCloud to backup the iPhone photos. Is there any way to restore my photos from iCloud to mac?

My iPhone 5s is stolen and I want to restore iPhone photos from iCloud. I have use iCloud to backup the iPhone photos. Is there any way to restore my photos from iCloud to mac?

The backup of your iPod Touch would include your camera roll photos.  Restoring the backup to another iPod Touch or iPhone would recover them.  Photos will not be restored by restoring the backup to an iPad.
Note: Apple deletes iCloud backups after 180 days of inactivity so be sure to do this before then.

I have just connected my computer to my iPad to import photos to my iPad and have imported the wrong ones and wish to delete them. Does anyone know how I do this please. I am a novice at this as I have ony just acquired my iPad,

Photos that were synced from your computer using iTunes can only be deleted by de-selecting them from the folder from where they were synced -  and then re-syncing.
Connect the iPad to the computer and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the Photos Tab on the right.
Uncheck all of the albums that you want to remove under the Sync Photos From heading
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes
If you are using iTunes 11 and you can't see the sidebar go to View>Show Sidebar from the menu at the top.

  • How do I delete photos in the icloud and have them stay gone?

How do I delete photos in the icloud and have them stay gone!

The only way you can do that is to import them into your library first, but you may have done that already.
The easiest way to tell is to select a photo from the photostream album in iPhoto and ctrl-click on it, if it gives you the option to import it isn't in your iPhoto library, if it offers you the option to show in library it has already been imorted.
