Want to run my applet without plug-in

Hi,
My applet program is running well in default browser, jvm 1.1.8. but when using Sun jvm 1.3.1 or 1.4.0 plug-in, It makes so many error :(
So, I want to run it without plug-in, even if adding some codes.
If even already installed Sun JVM 1.3.1 or 1.4.0 there, I want to run on browser JVM 1.1.8 by force!
Anybody have some clues?
thanks

Thanks for your reply, but I also know it.
Actually I'm trying to my applet doesn't use sun jvm naturally.
One client connect to my chat server, and he already installed jvm above 1.1.8 version, BUT my applet doesn't use sun jvm. and it start to use default 1.1.8 version jvm.
It's my hope.

    There may be a solution : include the swing library in your applet,
    so you don't need the plugin anymore (personnaly i prefer having
    the plugin downloaded once and the use it as needed).
    For the load from a server you will need to be more specific, but
    don't forget : the applet don't run on the server, so it won't request
    Swing classes from the server.

    please dont cry.....
    one thing is u need to send all the class files required for the applet to run on the client side.
    below is the code to detect for the plug in for ie and netscape:
    out.println("<body bgColor=\"#EEEEE0\">");
                        out.println("<h1 align=center>Aspire Chat</h1>");
                        out.println("<table border=1 align=\"center\"><tr><td>");

  • Applet without JMF installation at client side

    hello,
    I am trying developing an applet SIP phone based on Jain Sip Applet Phone( which originally can only deal with audio signal). But I found a big problem that I have to make every client install the JMF, however the clients hope there is no software to be installed locally.
    In application, I can run it without JMF installation by copying all the dlls to system32 directory and add some related JMF source code into my own project. Or just simply put the jmf.property to the "lib" directory, which also works.
    However, as for the applet, it dosen't that simple for the security thing. Here is the output in cosole:

    java.lang.RuntimeException: No permission to capture from applets
    -> Couldn't connect to video capture device
          I found that my applet can detect two device which is correct but has "no permission to capture from applets".
          In the progress of installation the JMF, and option is "permit recording from an applet". I read the source code, and found it dose the following works:
          if I choose "permit recording from an applet",  then "allowCapture=1", and in "settingPanel.java" it dose:
         "boolean allowCapture = checkAllowCapture.getState();
          Registry.set("secure.allowCaptureFromApplets", new Boolean(allowCapture));"
          I want to do what the installation progress did to give permition to applet, however, when I do the following:
           private static final String PROP_ALLOW_CAPTURE_FROM_APPLETS
            = "secure.allowCaptureFromApplets";
           Registry.set(PROP_ALLOW_CAPTURE_FROM_APPLETS, new Boolean(true));
           Registry.commit();
          in my project , it throws exception like this: "Failed to initially commit JMFRegistry. Ignoring err.java.lang.SecurityException: commit: Permission denied"
          The code which i thought could give applet the rights is denied.
          Till now, I have also read some similar questions in different forums, but there is no good answer.
          Can you help me? Is there any possibility to run the applet without installation on the client side ? Is my method right? If not, how should I do? BTW - have you investigated JavaFX? It is effectively the replacement for JMF, and possibly has a better end-user experience than trying to install JMF.
    However, as for the applet, it dosen't that simple for the security thing. Here is the output in cosole:

    Imagine if you visited a web page with a 1px x 1px applet (effectively invisible) that could hear everything you say, and transmit it back to the server. Sun is not about to allow that, unless the end-user has granted the applet extended permissions.

  • How to run a Plugin, without opening Adobe indesign

    Hi,
    Does anyone know how to run a plugin as a service or something like that...
    What i want to do is,
        I have written a plugin that can read texts from indd files & save them as .txt files.
    now i want to put indd files in to a folder & once a new file comes to the folder, read that new file automatically  and save as txt.
    for that I want to run the plugin, without opening the indd file.
    I hope CS6 SDK support to do that.
    Please let me know if anyone has any idea...
    Thanks.

    Hi Menan,
    Thank you very much for your reply...
    I'll explain you what my requirement is,
    My final goal is to run the Indesign application(including my plugin) in a server &  put all indd files in to a location(ex.folder) &
    once an indd file comes to that folder it'll be automatically read by Indesign application & save the extracted data in a separate location(ex.another folder) as tex files. then human interaction is not needed...
    My precsent problem is,
           Can I read an indd file, without opening indd file in Indesign application (may be giving a path to a indd files included folder or some way like that).
    Currently,
      first i open the Indesign Application -> Open the indd file(intended to be read) -> Run my plugin.
    Now I Get the document with,
    IDocument* document = Utils<ILayoutUIUtils>()->GetFrontDocument();
    But what I want is,
    while the Indesign application is running on a PC, if an indd file comes to a given location(folder) it to be read automaticaly without opening my pluging.
    To do that My idea is,
      * Any time when the Indesign apllication is opend my plugin should automatically start running,
    * once a new file comes to a given location(folder) plugin shoud be automatically triggered & read the file.
    Please help me with your ideas..
    Thanks.

  • Run External application without Exiting main application

    Hi,
    I am trying to implement a function that executes the external program from within my java application. I am using windows xp. I had googled for this and found some code but so far I am able to run the application in a condition if my main application exits. Instead I want to run the application without exiting my main application. How can I do that:
    Code I am using is:
    ========================
    try{
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec("external program");
    System.exit(0);
    catch (Exception err){
    err.printStackTrace();
    System.exit(-1);
    =========================
    my problem is I cannot run the external program without the line "System.exit(0)". If I remove that line, the external program only starts after I exit my main java application. Is there a way to run the external application without leaving the main application?
    By the way I am using the latest version of JDK 6 update 2 and Netbeans 5.5.1
    Thanks

    I tried and I tried and I couldn't make the same problem occur unless I specfically had a long task execute BEFORE calling the runtime command. See the code below:
    I tried a bunch of things, including having a GUI run before the Runtime call, after the runtime call. Neither affected the movie from being played.
    I tried with different versions of the runtime command, none of it made a problem.
    I tried running the application with a long task that would keep the main thread busy for a while AFTER I launched mplayer - no problem.
    The only thing that made the app work the way you describe was when I built the long task that keeps the main thread active for a while BEFORE I launched mplayer (which is the state of the code as I pasted it below).
    So my guess is that you have a single threaded application and you add the call to mplayer at the very end of your program's execution - thus it doesn't get called until the last thing. My suggestions:
    1) Move the call to the Start of your code, not the end
    2) Move your other work to a new thread so that it can be kicked off without holding the main thread in check.

    }I will restate myself:
    "I was not able to repeat the problem, except as described, as long as I took the hints mentioned in the article I posted into account and actually put them into action."
    Of course, as soon as I ignored those hints, I was able to reproduce the error described above quite easily in all the different tests I made... But I guess the OP implemented those fixes, right? He did say he read the article...

  • Running application(.jar) without installing sdk

    I have developed a javafx desktop application for my college students and gave them the application packaged into a jar file....Now the problem is that they want to run the application without installing the entire sdk.....Is there any way to run it without installing the entire sdk.....
    Hope Philho gives a useful answer as he does to all my other questions......

    Alas, I don't have all the answers... And I must leave some work to do to other people! ;-)
    AFAIK, there are only two solutions: install the SDK (not a big problem, is it?), or the official way: use a JNLP file that will run the application while automatically downloading the runtime.

  • How to run Java 3D Applet without install java3d

    I've written a java3d applet, and it runs correctly in browser on my computer. Now I want it can be run on other computers which havent' Java3d installed. If the program runs as application, then we can use jnlp and web-start to solve this problem. But what about applet? How can I do it just like the application?
    Pls help me!

    Hello. I read this article too. It sounds interesting but I have some questions. The example is given for win32 and what about other OSs and platforms? Sun provides different libraries for different OS. According to this article it is possible to run applets without previous installation of Java3D and if a user runs Windows 2000, Java3D libraries will be downloaded and installed from the location pointed out by the programmer. But how to do this for all OSs and all platforms and architectures so that if a user doesn't have Java3D installed on his/her computer, might to see the applet in his/her browser? Is it the only way that a programmer needs to include into "loader_singed.jar" all possible libraries for all possible platforms?

  • How do I get Firefox to run and display applets without asking for my permission for each one?

    Each time I load a web page with a new applet I get asked whether I want to run it. I don't want this. I just want the applets to be run. I read in the help section about using the java console but I can't find how to display the java console either.

  • I do not want to save every file I download. just want to open a file and move on. I do not see an option to just open or run the download without saving.

    Please give an option to just open and run a download without saving.
    I have a bunch of the things saved in the download folder that I have no clue what all of it is. Please I do not want to save everything I download, I would like to just open a file move on.
    Thank you.

    sorry but there is no option like this.
    but if you like you can delete them manually
    for these :
    1.open downloads from menu button on right or by simply pressing (Ctrl +J )
    2.Then select the downloaded file you want to delete by a single click on it.
    3. You will find a folder type icon on right side of that , in which you should click.
    4. Then it will open folder where the selected file saved.
    5. Then you can delete that file .
    OK done

  • Is it possible to run applet without JRE

    hello friends,
    Presently I hava developed chating application. Now I want to download my applet on client side and run ther wether client's computer has JRE or not.

    Not unless you create an executable file and jam the whole JRE into it.

  • Run applets without JRE

    Hello to all developers,
    I know that to run applets in IE we should have the JRE installed on our machines. But is there any way that we can run applets without the JRE being installed on our machines. I have also heard of something called as the Microsoft JVM. How can we use it to run the java applets.
    Thanking in advance.

    The Microsoft JVM is extremely outdated and not recommended at all. You can't really run a Java applet without a JVM, and I'm not sure if any but the one Sun makes comes with a browser plugin.

  • Run an applet in a computer without the virtual

    My name is Henry Smith and I'm doing a chat but I have a problem in the computers without the virtual machine. Then my question is:
    How can I do to run an applet in a computer without the virtual machine.?
    Do you other opcion?

    Applets run on browers and hence it merely depends upon the browser capability. If your browser has inbuild JVM then only you can see the applet. And now a days all browsers eg. IE and Netscape and VM enabled.
    Thanks.
