Hello Experts,
I have created an interactive form for test, it has one text field and one numc field. I have created structure with fields one text and one numc. I have created form using SFP. I want to save the data in the structure if user enters it in the form. is it possibe, if yes then cud u please guide me?

Well,that's very much possible.
Define your own ISR Scenario and update your required table on click of Submit button.Here you dont require WD ABAP also. But I dont suggest this solution until unless there is a related approval process attached to the business process. It's usually used for Change Request of HR Master. I request you to send your requirement more clearly, so that based on it, I can suggest more clear solution.

I haven't checked reviews recently but there's a difference between bare drives and drives with enclosures. Western Digital made some of the most reliable drives last time I checked, though the enclosures weren't all that great. It is convenient to get both in one package but I usually buy a highly rated enclosure and then put a highly rated drive in it myself. OWC sells some good enclosures but if they put a so-so drive inside of it then the package is only as good as its weakest component. If you get a package from them, ask them what drive is inside (some vendors have no idea what's inside - went to an Apple Store recently and they couldn't tell me what was inside some of their Apple brand enclosures). My first thought if buying a new drive would be to buy a OWC enclosure with a WD drive, but chek around because I may be out of date.
10 years ago Seagate was one of the best drives. Now they rate poorly in reviews.

Need to free up space on iPad but want to save data

Hello,
I need to free up space on my iPad and the biggest hogs (no pun intended! ) are my 5 Angry Birds apps -- over 1 gig of apps and data. I would hate to lose all my progress. If I delete them off the iPad, I know I can still reinstall them but will my data also be reinstalled or will it be lost?
Any way to save all that -- ahem -- work?

If you backup the iPad, your game progress will be stored in the backup. The only problem with that is, the next time that you backup, the previous backup will be overwritten and then you will lose the game progress in the apps because the deleted games and game progress will no longer be on your iPad.
I was once seriously into gaming, it is work. I know how much "work" you can put into video games.

If you want to do excel formatting and really have full functionality in Excel without having to buy the reports toolkit, you can use the Excel ActiveX controls. If you have Excel installed you can use ActiveX references to do anything you want excel to do for you. Use an automation reference and select the Excel class. I forget what its called, but you should be able to find what does what without too much problem. You just use methods from the reference. It takes a bit of work to figure out what everything does, but I have written huge formatting vi's that open excel, format cells, run macros, and save files in excel and then close excel when its done. It all depends on how fancy you want to get.

How to save data in a string control?

I want to save data in a string control or indicator. I know that I can rt-click and make the data default. But can it be done through a proberty node or something else when the program is running?

There isn't a "Make Current Value Default" method that you can invoke programmatically, this would require your VI to be saved when it was closed, which obviously couldn't be done if it had been built into an executable.
You could read the values from the controls/indicators and save them in a .ini file using the Configuration File VIs on the File I/O palette, and have some code at the start of your program that reads the values from the file and puts them into the objects using local variables.

How to save data aquired with NI mydaq and save it in a data base using Labview?

i have developped with labview an interface that can control automatic irrigation station using two sensors ( humidity sesonr and temperature sensor) so i want to save data aquired during a year in a data base so i can compare these results in the next year please help me to do that in my interface labview and thanks

There is a database toolkit for LabVIEW. I don't think it is a free download however. With the Data Manipulation toolkit, you can integrate with most databases that use the ODBC protocol.
If you don;t need anything fancy, you can write the values out to file using the write/read spreadsheet VIs. If the file is [COMMA] or [TAB] delimited, you can import it into your database with ease.
Another approach is to format you output to a text file as SQL, and import the records that way.

How to save data acquired from NI-DAQ in text format instead of TDMS using the DAQ-mx ANSI C code?

I wanted to save data acquired from NI-DAQ (for example, NI 9234) in a file using the DAQ-mx ANSI C Code. The response I got was as follows:-
One way to do it is with TDMS logging. DAQmx comes with functions designed to log to a TDMS file. This is a special file type that is used for collecting data in a logical format. It can be displayed in a TDMS viewer where data is separated into groups and channels. NI-DAQmx provides examples for how to log to TDMS. Look at the TDMS examples in the C:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\NI-DAQ\Examples\DAQmx ANSI C\Analog In\Measure Voltage directory.
However, now I want to know is there a way that using that same C code, can we save the data in a .txt file format (Text File) instead of a TDMS file? We actually want to access that file through MATLAB (that's why we want to save it in text format).
Also on an other note, is there a way we can access & open TDMS files by MATLAB?

Save data on state change

I’m using Labview 2010 p1 and trying to figure out have to save data on a specific change in the data. I have a VI that I can;
Watch the data change real time
Save single shot or continuous data
Save if data goes over “x”
But what I now need is to save once when the data goes over, then watch till the data goes under “x”, and repeat. So instead of continuously saving data (a waste), only want to save data when the motor first starts and when the motor stops. So I will have just two segments of data instead of 100’s.
Does this make sense?

If your program already saves data when a threshold is passed on the increase, then you have accomplished much of what you need. Have the state change set a boolean to indicate to the data save to save the data, then have the data save reset it, then have the state change below the threshold set it again to allow saving, ... The state change boolean can be in a Functional Global, a single element queue, or depending on the structure, held in a shift register around the threshold determining code.

Save Data from other system

Hi,
We have one dot net system and one java system doing our core business.
I want to save data(which is updated daily) from these systems and save into SAP. Not flat files. I want live data sync.
How is this possible.

I don't understand your question. If you want real-time integration then you would more than likely be using webservice communication between these systems.
Do you have something specific that you want to understand?

How to save data in New Excel Sheet on each time run the VI?

I am doing my dissertation. In that i have to store the data of load cell in the excel sheet. I have done that.
Here i have attach the vi , template in which want to save data named My , and output when complete the rn of vi named My Report.
Now the problem is once i have run the vi , my report is generated but second time when i run the vi the new my report sheet is not generated. and the second problem is i am getting out put as 511, 0, 2.49.
I want the when ever i run the vi every time the new excel sheet should be generated and saved with date, time and my report tag. ex. My Report 20/11/13 12:00
And i want the output 511,2.49,...dont want this 0.
please hepl me out its urgent

You just need to change the settings. Whenever it will write to excel it will display the save as option.
Then user will confirm the same
In the excel dispose report.vi passsave change and close report boolean input as TRUE and see

Any limitation on number of fill and print forms I can post on my website and have external users with Reader fill in, print and mail to me? (I don't need/want them to be able to fill and save data.)

I would like to post fillable only forms to the public but not give them the option to save or email the filled in form. If they want a copy of what they've filled in, they must print it.
I believe I can do this by just creating a fillable PDF and posting it without adding any reader extension capabilities. I also believe there is no limitation, as there is for fill and save forms as per this other post I read: Adobe Acrobat X Pro * Enable Reader users to save form data.
My IT department is telling me they will not allow me to post fillable PDFs online due to a "license limitation" so I started researching this myself, and the above link is the only thing I've found. While that post specifically outlines the limitations on saving filled in forms, I'm really looking for something that specifically tells me that there is no limitation on fillable, non-saveable (yes, I know that's not a word...) forms.
If anyone can provide additional information for me, I'd appreciate it. Or, if I'm completely wrong in my belief and there's a limitation either way, feel free to set me straight. I'd rather know the correct answer than be right!

If you don't Reader-enable a document, then there are no licensing restrictions involved. Note that Reader 11 and all versions of Acrobat are able to save non-enabled forms, unlike previous versions.
The question should not be whether a form is savable, but rather whether you used Acrobat to add usage rights to the form AND you (the licensee) plan on receiving filled-in instances (including hardcopies) of it. The simplest way is to not Reader-enable the form and convince your users to use Reader 11 (or Acrobat) if they want to save.

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.

Could that read " . . . could not access . . ."? If so, try repairing your backups, per #A5 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting.
If not, or if that doesn't help, see #A1 there. Use the TM Buddy widget it details to copy and post the messages here.
