  • Hi, i have a doubt, i want my pdf files to be sync with the cloud but im afraid they wont open when not connected to the internet so my question basiclly is¿ can i store the documents on my device sd and edit them and when i get a internet connection they

Hi, i have a doubt, can i have my pdf files on my sd, edit them while in class with no internet connection and when back online they will sync, all i want is to able to open my files without wifi and edit them but when back online sync their changes so i can see them in other device

You can cache the cloud documents that you most often read by opening them once when the network is available. Edits made to these documents would be automatically synced back to the cloud if the network is available. If for any reason the network is not available, these would be synced the next time network becomes available.

I have the cloud on my pc and I've moved documents to it, but they don't update when I update the one on my pc.
And I don't know how to get them on my iPad. I have the new ios7, btw. Just got it but couldn't find my documents with ios6
    Thanks

You can upload files to Dropbox and edit them with Quickoffice Pro HD.

and edited them in iMovie and then burned them onto a DVD using iDVD.
I can see the weak jerkiness when panning in both laterally
    and vertically.
I shoot with a camcorder Canon Vixia HF10. The camera has been set to deliver HD quality (1920x1080). But I have accidentally filmed with a frame rate of 60 (?).
When I import the films in iMovie I have been asked if I want to change to frame rate 30 (instead of 25). I have chosen 30.
Could it be the setting of a frame rate 60 in my camcorder that causes jerkiness when panning or what else?

Hi, Can anyone recommended software to import dvd to iMovies. I need to import about a dozen homemade DVD's and edit them into a single DVD comprising the 'best bits'. How best can I do this. I have an external hard drive available for the job

You need to convert the VOB files in the TS-Folder of the DVD back to DV which iMovie is designed to handle. For that you need mpegStreamclip:
    http://www.squared5.com/svideo/mpeg-streamclip-mac.html
which is free, but you must also have the  Apple mpeg2 plugin :
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/D2187Z/A/quicktime-mpeg-2-playback-component-f or-mac-os-x
(unless you are running Lion in which case see below))
    which is a mere $20.
Another possibility is to use DVDxDV:
    http://www.dvdxdv.com/NewFolderLookSite/Products/DVDxDV.overview.htm
    which costs $25.
For the benefit of others who may read this thread:
Obviously the foregoing only applies to DVDs you have made yourself, or other home-made DVDs that have been given to you. It will NOT work on copy-protected commercial DVDs, which in any case would be illegal.
And from the TOU of these forums:
    Keep within the Law
No material may be submitted that is intended to promote or commit an illegal act.
Do not submit software or descriptions of processes that break or otherwise ‘work around’ digital rights management software or hardware. This includes conversations about ‘ripping’ DVDs or working around FairPlay software used on the iTunes Store.
If you are running Lion or later:
    From the MPEG Streamclip homepage
The installer of the MPEG-2 Playback Component may refuse to install the component in Lion. Apple states the component is unnecessary in Lion onwards, however MPEG Streamclip still needs it. See this:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3381
To install the component in Lion, please download MPEG Streamclip 1.9.3b7 beta above; inside the disk image you will find the Utility MPEG2 Component Lion: use it to install the MPEG-2 Playback Component in Lion. The original installer's disk image (QuickTimeMPEG2.dmg) is required.
The current versions of MPEG Streamclip cannot take advantage of the built-in MPEG-2 functionality of Lion. For MPEG-2 files you still need to install the QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback Component, which is not preinstalled in Lion. (The same applies to Mountain Lion even though that has it preinstalled.) You don't have to install QuickTime 7.

  • Can you access files and edit them from different computers in Creative Cloud?

I want to understand the workflow we can have. We have three computers and would like to access and edit the same files in Creative Cloud. Can you do this? I understand I may have to purchase two licenses but will this give everyone access to the same files and able to edit and upload files.
We do this in Dropbox now but with Creative Cloud is sounds like all I can do is share a file for them to comment on, not edit?

    Hi Olivia,
With Creative Cloud, file editing comes in via downloading Adobe applications with a Creative Cloud membership. While you cannot edit within Creative Cloud, you can share files with your coworkers which can then be downloaded, edited in an Adobe application, and reuploaded to the Cloud.
Be aware that although you can have two computers activated on the same Creative Cloud membership, you cannot use the same application on two computers simultaneously. A Creative Cloud membership is for one user that can be used on one or more computers.
You may want to look into the Creative Cloud Team Ready, that targets work environments like yours. You can read more about Team Ready here.
Hope this helped clarify your questions!

  • Can I attach my video clips back together after I've split and edited them?

I had a long video clip that I split apart a bunch of times in order to trim at different points. Now I am left with a bunch of small clips. I want to highlight them all and reattach them to form one clip. Is that possible? I can't figure it out. Thanks!

Thanks for the posts. The reason I wanted to reattach the clips in my project was so that I could perform edits to the clips that would apply to all at the same time. But I found my answer. You can make your edits to one clip. Then select that clip and hit copy. Then you can select your other individual clips and hit paste adjustments (command+shift+v) to each. It worked well. Thanks!

I have a new  Sony alpha 77ii.  My PS version is 5.0.  When I open the files with Bridge they are .ARW files.  How do I convert them to JPEG's or something I can view and edit?

You can use Adobe's free DNG converter to convert proprietary raws to the universal DNG raw format. Here are the links:
Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter : For Windows : Adobe DNG Converter 9.0
Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter : For Macintosh : Adobe DNG Converter 9.0
Converting to JPEG will be an extra step afterwards.

  • PSE 7 is frozen with images in it - i dont want to force close and loose them - please help!!

I load to iphot and transfer to PSE - my computer is very full and PSE has given me nothing but a colorwheel - i dont want to force close and lose what's in there  - please help me!!
    Thanks!!

well, I can't answer questions about iPhoto, but either the photos are on your hard disk somewhere (in which case you won't lose them), or they are not on your hard disk somewhere (in which case I hope you have made recent backups).
So which is it? Can you find the photos on your hard disk, or not?

  • Can I watch videos I have shot on my Ipad2 on my iMac and edit them

I have shot a video on my Ipad2. Now I want to watch and edit it on my Imac and imovie. I have connected my Ipad2 to my Imac but nothing has come up to show my how to transfer it, nothing is showing on Itunes to tell me that the video I shot is there. I don't even know where icloud is to even look for it there, where is icloud? I have checked icloud.com/iworks but I can't see anywhere that leads to videos. Why oh why does this have to be so complicated.

Try opening Finder, (or opening your iPad on your Mac) and getting to the DCIM folder on your iPad. Drag the movie files onto your Mac.
I've not played with iMovie but you can also try the import option on iMovie and see if that will allow you to import your video onto your mac.

  • Locating and Editing Theme Files in iPhoto '08

I'm a professional photographer working on a signature guest album for a couple. I was looking for inspiration so, I turned to iPhoto '08.
I found a template or theme that I like. However, I don't like the layouts, etc. I started on a quest to find the elements that iPhoto is drawing from, using to create these layouts. They must be on my computer somewhere.
I'd like to find them, and incorporate them in my own designs in Photoshop. I'm assuming they are gif or jpeg or tiff files. I've tried right-clicking the application and opening the resource files folder, I've tried looking in the library's iPhoto folder and can't figure it out.
I'm looking for the border elements and background details, etc. I have far more control over quality, layout and sizing requirements using Photoshop. Otherwise, I'd be happy to use iPhoto for this purpose.
I've searched this forum and can't find my answer. I'm hoping there is someone here that has the answer I'm searching for, thanks in advance!
I'm hoping that you can lend some insight into this as you have probably dealt with this more than I have.
    Thanks in advance,
    Randy

As I stated originally, I wanted to use the files to create or add to my own designs in PHOTOSHOP. The files are .png files with transparency and work perfectly. As far as coming up with my own theme or modifying the theme files and having them work properly in iPhoto again...that's another story.
Having said that, if all you wanted to do was change the color of the background paper or for example, change a textured paper to zebra stripes, you could open the file from your theme in Photoshop and do whatever you wanted to it. As long as you did not modify the size or file format, those changes should be updated and reflected in the theme the next time you open iPhoto.

  • Looking inside of DNG Camera Profiles and editing them

For those interested in the insides of DNG Camera profiles, and how to edit them, I've written dcpTool.
dcpTool is a compiler/decompiler for DNG camera profiles (.dcp files). dcpTool can decompile binary format DCP files into an XML format for editing with a text editor or whatever, and then compile the XML format file back into a binary DCP file, as well as extract embedded profiles from DNG files. It runs on Windows and OS X command lines, and is based on V1.2 of the DNG SDK.
    See here: http://dcptool.sourceforge.net/
Health warning: dcpTool is a command line utility - if you're not comfortable with command line stuff, dcpTool probably won't be of any interest to you.

Very cool, thanks for the info.

  • I'd like to sync two videos and edit them at the same time, possible?

I've recently recorded a conference speaker with a camera and a screen capture of his slides I'd like to import the two video files and sync them together (they received the same audio feed) then perform very basic edits of removing any intro before the speaker and the q&a after his talk. Any tips on making this as easy as possible would be greatly appreciated. I need to have a copy of each video (headshot and screen capture) that is the same length.
