iOS 7.1 update requires approximately 350MB's of storage space.
Tap Settings > General > About > Available to see free storage space.
Very important to never allow the free storage space to fall below at the very least 500MB's or your iPhone may not boot.
You need to free up storage space on your iPhone for future updates as well.

Hi few days ago I bought a second hand iphone 5 white 64 gb, and when I try to activate it I see the following message: "This iPhone can not be activated for service.please contact your carrier or AppleCare"
So then do what it says...contact Apple or your wireless carrier.
However your phone is probably locked to another carrier and cannot be used on yours. -

It can only be serviced / replaced in the country where it was originally sold. All service and support in UAE is provided by the authorized carriers there. Take it in to the carrier it was purchased from for service.

FaceTime:

I want to replace the music on my iphone 5s with a new itunes library
i couldn't find any answers on the forum, i'm hoping someone can help me... basically, i got a new laptop and instead of wanting to transfer my other itunes library from my old laptop, i decided to start fresh... i spent ages sorting all my new music out and itunes doesn' sync... i want to delete the music from my iphone and replace it with my new itunes library, i've tried pretty much everything, when i plug my iphone in and click sync, it skips through the 4 or 5 stages, the music never updates on my iphone. i'm really confused, i didn't want to click restore just incase i lost absolutely everything, PLEASE HELP
p.s. i already managed the accounts on itunes store and selected this computer, and my iphone, deleting my other laptop (so only this itunes library is active if that makes sense)See Here...

You sign out of an existing Apple ID by going to Settings > iTunes & App Stores. Select the Apple ID at the top and select Sign Out. Sign in with your Apple ID at the same location. -
FaceTime: I want to see the other guy, not myself
I'm self-conscious. I've looked for answers online but found nothing that directly addresses the issue. I've even seen something as ridiculous as having plastic surgery to improve your appearance of FaceTime. To me, using FaceTime is like hearing myself on a tape recorder "Eeew! THAT'S how I sound?!" I don't mind being seen, but I don't want to see myself - I find it distracting and my attention wanders as I critique any flaws in my appearance. This doesn't happen in a normal face-to-face conversation, why should it happen in a FaceTime conversation?
I want to see the person on the other end. I want that person to see me. That's what FaceTime is all about but...I want to be able to eliminate from MY screen that little box with myself in it. That doesn't seem like too much to ask of Apple. Maybe it can already be done and that's what I'm trying to find out. Anyone out there with any tips?
Thanks,Yeah, I get that and it makes sense. I just wish I had the option of making it somewhat less than perfect by eliminating the reflection box. When I'm on my macbook air, I can cover my image using a small window in Finder. I'll have to figure out a way on my iPhone. Maybe a small removable sticky note kept in my case for that purpose. Your reply is much appreciated and you were helpful. I looked at the link you shared but it doesn't really have any solutions - just the knowledge that others feel as I do. And you helped with terminology - I didn't know "that little box with myself in it" is called a reflection box. Thank you! :-)

Do you mean the front and back glass? If so, Apple does not do that except for limited reasons, and then at some stores in the US. If you to find out if your Apple store can or will assist with hat, take the iPhone to your Apple store genius bar and see if they can help.

I can successfully view and control a VI remotly. However, the remote VI dinamically loads another VI, this VI loaded dinamically is a VI that allows open others VIs, I want to see the files that contains the server machine, in the client machine, but the front panel of the dinamic VI appears only on the server and not on the client, How can I display the fron panel with the files of the server machine of the dinamically loaded VI on the client computer?

It seems that you are so close yet so far. You need to get the data on the server machine over to the client. I generally do this by doing a call by reference (on the client machine) of a VI that is served by the server. THe VI that executes on the server should pass the data you want to diplay via one of its output terminals. You can simply wire from this terminal (back on the client again) to an indicator of your choosing.
Now theorectically, I do not think that there is anything that prevents use from getting the control refnum of the actual indicator (on the server) of the indicator that has the data, and read its "Value" using a property node. I have never tried this idea but it seems t
hat all of the parts are there. You will need to know the name of the VI that holds the data as well as the indicator's name. You will also have to serve all VI's. This is not a good idea.

I want to take the photos off my iPhone and put them directly onto an external hard disk - I don't have any room left on my computer. I want to bypass iPhoto altogether. When I link my iPhone to my computer, it only opens in iTunes, which only gives me the option to save my photos to iPhoto. Help! This is seriously frustrating!.
Additionally, I'd like to be able to take the 2000+ photos out of iPhoto and put them on a disk in a folder. I have managed to export them to the hard disk but it's just plonked all 2000+ photos in a list - not ideal if I want to use it for anything else. And then I have to manually delete the photos from iPhoto. Is there not a quick and easy way of dealing with this?
Anyone got any bright ideas? Thanks for your help!I too would like to be able to do this. Just put them where i want the. IFTT a scripting app will put the images in dropbox for you , but its been pretty iffy.

You don't import photos from the iPhone to your computer using iTunes.

Note this only applies to photos taken with the iPhone. Any photos you previously added to your iPhone using iTunes should be copied from old computer to new computer. -
