Want to select DAQ for my application

Hi friends,
I am newbie to labview.. I am doing a project in which I have to measure the ball valve position.. for this I have attached ring magnet below the ball. when the ball rotates the magnet rotates along with ball and by using hall sensor we can measure the position.
I will be using max 2 hall sensors... for this application, which DAQ is better.. cheap and best

So you could either post this at the Data Acquisition Forums or, which is the better idea, send an email or call your local NI Office.
Please also provide a bit more information regarding your sensors, e.g. voltage levels and also about acquisition rates you will need, and what kind of system should control this application, e.g. Windows Desktop PC or mobile Laptop, and so on.

Want to change template for an application

I made my first test application on oracle's provided platform.
I chose the template with No tabs. Now I realize I need the tabs. I dont find a way to change the template assigned to an application.
Is it really allowed or not ??

Raghav,
If you just want to change template for that particular page, go to edit page and in the Display Attributes select the template that you want, by default its Application level default. For changing the application default template go to Home>Application Builder>Application #>Shared Components>Themes>Create/Edit Theme and there you can change the default values.

Missing selection screen for Bex Application iView

Hi,
I have configured a Bex Application iView, for which I am able to see the selection screen in preview but when I attach this to workset and try to open it in portal, the report is displayed directly with out selection screen.
Here are the steps I did
1. Created Bex Application iView with provied query string.
2. Assigned this iView to Page.
3. Attached this page to workset and then to role.
4. Login to the portal for respective user to see the report.
5. When I click on the link for the report, the selection screen is bypassed and the report is displayed directly.
Note: I was able to see the selection screen in preview for both Page and iView.
Could anyone through light on this problem.

You will need to create separate scripts for Load testing. The functional scripts cannot be used in OLT. The exceptions to this would be the "General" items (Java Code Script & Web Services) which can also be used in OLT.
e.g. Instead of selecting "Functional Testing - Oracle EBS/Forms"
select "Load Testing (Protocol Automation) - Oracle EBS/Forms"
Once you get into load testing you'll realise that you want to create very specific scripts and won't want to try re-using functional scripts. I know a lot of such tools are 'sold' on the fact that functional scripts can be re-used for load, but when it comes down to it you'll want to design your load scripts seperately anyway!

Selecting DAQ channels by arrays of strings for scxi 1102/4c

I have an urgent matter - for my project I have to modify DAQ analog acquisition on several machines. The existent applications use definitions of virtual channels AnCh0-63, and they select them by DAQ constants which are connected to AI Acquire Waveforms. Now I need to make one program for all machines (different slot numbers of the cards) that will retrieve channel selection from a database (LV 7.1, MS SQL Server 2005).
Is there a way to directly use the DAQ constants by feeding them strings from the database? The catch is that the company wishes to keep the existent programs and use a database for storing and loading parameters. Otherwise I tried with global-channel definition strings (obx!scy!mdz!0,2,...,n) but there were problems with some combinations of channels.

Hello Simon,
If I am understanding the question, you want to use the same program
you have been using (which uses our "legacy" driver, Traditional DAQ)
and want to integrate that into a database system. The trick seems to
be inputting the various inputs into the AI Aquire Waveforms directly
from strings you have aquired from your database.
If my understanding is correct, then we want to convert strings into
the data types required by the VI. The channels input can be fed a
string directly (as long as it is in the format it expects), while the
other inputs require numeric values. You can convert strings into
numerics with the Decimal String to Number VI (Functions
Palette»String»String/Number Conversion). Using these, you can then
input the correct inputs:
You can also parse strings with the string manipulation VIs (Functions Palette»String) if you need to. I hope this is the information you are looking for, your application sounds like it could save a lot of time in the long run.

I want to acquire data for multiple channels using PCI 6120 that works on traditional DAQ. I cannot access more than one channel, can someone help me or if someone has data acquisition vi for PCI 6120, please send me over . Thanks

You can definetly acquire from several channels. For your convenience, I have appended below the content from help that tells you how to configure it:
"channels specifies the set of analog input channels. The order of the channels in the scan list defines the order in which the channels are scanned during an acquisition. channels is an array of strings. You can use one channel entry per element or specify the entire scan list in a single element, or use any combination of these two methods. If x, y, and z refer to channels, you can specify a list of channels in a single element by separating the individual channels by commas, for example, x,y,z. If x refers to the first channel in a consecutive channel range and y refers to the last channel, yo
u can specify the range by separating the first and last channels by a colon, for example, x:y."

Well,
it's up to you. The first part (Mcit-Project-ViewController-context-root) is the context root which you define in the view controller project. 'faces' is the name the servlet filter reacts on. You can't omit it but shorten it in web.xml. The rest is your directory structure. I'm not sure how to shorten this other as to move the jspx files back into the web root folder.
By the way an ADF faces app never uses the .jspx at the end of the url. If you specify '.jspx', you only render the page but don't start the work flow.

Copy the routines into a new folder on your hard drive. Then burn the folder to a new blank disc using Disk Utility.

Events are organised strictly on date and time, as read by iPhoto from the Exif data in the Photo. You cannot manually sort.
Create Albums. You can do much more organising with Albums, use Photos from different events, place them as you will. Best of all, Albums use no disk space at all. They simply reference the file on the Hard Disk. So a pic can be 1, 10 or 100 Albums with no wasted disk space whatever.

F4 for employee select options in WD for abap application

I have defined a select option for employee selection in my WD for abap application. The only problem is that I cannot get a f4 help button to be displayed. I have defined the select option using the following code :

init the select screen

create a range table that consists of this new data element

Sometimes this happens because the app won't run on the iOS version of the device you are trying to install it to. Go to the app store and make sure it will run on iOS 3.1.3 (many only run on iOS 4 or higher).
