Want to transfer CS5 . Have serial number but not product key or discs. How can I do it?
I have Cs5 on my Mac book but want to transfer it to my new MacBook Pro retina. I have the serial number BUT my installation discs are packed away. Can I retrieve the product key from Adobe ? Do I need it anyway?

If you have the serial number and an internet connection you should be all set. You can download thru the following page and use the serial number you say you have to activate it.

You are allowed to have two activated installations, so if you choose to you can leave the current installation on the old machine as a backup. If you prefer to remove it for any reason, be sure to deactivate it first so that the extra activation is still available to you.

I'm not sure exactly what you need to accomplish. If you want to actually control and run LabVIEW from Excel, I think the only way to do that is with writing a VBA macro and calling the LabVIEW ActiveX properties and methods. I couldn't find an example with VBA but maybe this Visual Basic example here can give you some ideas. If, on the other hand, all you want to do is change some values that a LabVIEW program is using, the easiest way is to make those values changeable on the front panel of your VI or make your VI read the Excel spreadsheet. Reading an Excel spreadsheet can be done with Excel's ActiveX properties
and methods or treating the spreadsheet as a database and using ADO. One ActiveX example can be found here. If the Excel spreadsheet is saved as a text file with comma or tab delimited data, then you can use the Read From Spreadsheet function in LabVIEW. There have numerous examples and discussions on reading Excel files posted to this forum. if you do a search, you'll find a wealth of information. -
I purchased CS5 Design Standard about 5 years ago. Now I am trying to install second PC, but I got a message like " This serial number is not correct." I want to know the correct serial number, but I missed my ex adobe ID because I've changed my E-mail address.
It is not clear to me what your issue is with not being able to sign in to your Adobe account to find the serial number. You should still be able to sign in and find your serial number if you registered the software.
If your first PC is a Windows machine you might be able to extract the serial number from it using the Belarc Advisor

Make sure you have cookies enabled and clear your cache. If it continues to fail try using a different browser.
You can also download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

It will install as a fully functional 30 day trial. Entering your serial number will convert it to a permanent version, Standard or Extended, depending on what serial number you purchased.

If you bought them on your iPad then you will need to connect your iPad to your computer's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy them over to the Tones part of your computer's iTunes library and you can then sync them to your iPhone - ringtones are a one-time only download, so you won't be able to redownload them directly on your phone.

Skipping songs
The iPod seems to fail to play all of the occasional track that iTunes, and indeed other PMPs, are happy to play. There is probably some minor technical error in the internal structure of the file which is normally ignored by other playback software but causes the Classic to bail out.
If you use Windows you may like to try scanning the files with MP3Validator which can find & fix some internal MP3 errors.
Some users have also suggested that completely removing all id3 tags and then replacing the information can be a solution. This can be achieved in iTunes by selecting an affected track, right/control clicking and using the option Convert id3 tags> None. Since some files may mistakenly have more than one tag you may need to repeat this action. Once you have confirmed that no tag is present you can replace the tag information using Convert id3 tags > V2.3 (I believe it is recommended to avoid using V2.4).
Personally I have found files for which these solutions don't work. In this case the workaround is either to re-rip the tracks or get iTunes to re-encode the file, e.g.convert AAC to MP3 or vice versa and sync the newly encoded file to the iPod instead. Because transcoding will cause a loss of fidelity you should keep your original file so that if a future iPod firmware resolves this issue you can put your original files back onto the iPod.
