Want to transfer songs with "Lower bitrate"

This is my scenario.
I have songs which bit rate is more than 192kbps; however I want that songs transfer to Nano in 128kbps but still keep original in my hard drive the same bit rate (more than 192).
How can I do in easy way without convert files before transfer?
Thanks for help.

you could set your ipod nano to update only to checked songs. that way you could convert whatever songs you want to go to your ipod to AAC(128 kbps) and then only check those converted songs. You would have two of each song in your library though.

  • Want to transfer songs.

I want to transfer song from a computer that my Iphone 4s is not synced with but it's not letting me do it without syncing to that computer, is there a way around that?

iTunes will only add content to an iPhone from a single library. If you want to change the computer you routinely sync with either migrate the library from the original computer or see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device. If needs be you can have the "same" library available to you on multiple computers if you store it on an external drive and take it with you...

  • Finding songs with low-res coverart?

I have some songs with low-resolution coverart in itunes - since it used to just be for my ipod/iphone, it didnt matter.. now with the ipad, its very obvious (once it goes full-screen). Problem is, I don't know which of my songs have low-res artwork. Is there a way to easily find this out? like sort out "Any songs with images under 250x250"?

I've slowly replaced old, low res cover art on iTunes. There is no way to search for it under those parameters, so the best thing to do is start over (unless you have a really rare album cover, but we can fix that too).
Select all of your songs in iTunes library. Right click on any song (all will show up) and Get Info. Click the box next to artwork (should be in white). This wipes all of the album artwork you have stored (yes, you're going to have to do this).
Now, go to Advanced, Get Album Artwork, and iTunes will populate all of the photos with High Res versions (in my experience, it is high res, but I can't guarantee that all will be).
Some albums, those not licensed on iTunes, will require you to go to Amazon. Find the album, copy the image and paste it in the Artwork section of each album.
    This should work.

  • I have recently  installed windows 7 and want to transfer songs from ipod touch to laptop but last time i done that i lost all my songs

i have recently  installed windows 7 and want to transfer songs from ipod but most have been put on via cd then tranfered to ipod touch.last time i done this when ipod synced up it wiped every song

The ipod is not a storage/backup device.
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your computer.

  • Want to transfer songs and pics to new computer without old one

My old computer, somethings really wrong with the drivers, and it doesn't recognize my ipod or any usb device (we have given up trying to fix it, we've tried like everything, including reinstalling windows, therefore deleting all of my songs and itunes and everything. But the problem persists, and I can't even charge my ipod because its not recognized.)
So I bought a new laptop, and I want to transfer the songs to my new computer. Is that possible without using my old computer? and how do I do it? All the songs that I want to transfer are already on my ipod (at least I think that are, i can still listen to all of my songs on my ipod if I charge it with someone else's computer...and none of them are from the itunes store). What steps do I need to take to transfer them and is there a risk of all of my songs being deleted for some reason during transfer?
Help me please! and if you can't help me, is there any way I could email a tech support person who could?

The transfer of content from other sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. There is also a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows or a Mac. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available at this link: Two-way Street: Moving Music Off the iPod
There are various programs out there for recovering photos from an iPod, have a look at the ones below. If you search the internet you can find more:

Finally, If your iPod is set to update automatically you need to take care connecting to an empty iTunes. You can use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows with iTunes 7 installed hold down the Control and Alt keys (or Shift + Ctrl keys in older versions). This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer: iTunes 7 Keyboard Shortcuts for Windows
Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button: Managing content manually on iPod

  • Why can't iTunes transfer songs with Home Sharing?

I am trying to transfer songs and tv shows onto my computer from another computer in my house and everything is working fine, but when I try to drag the songs, they won't move. What should I do?

what you want to see in iTunes is this (view from my MBP's iTunes seeing the library on my Mini)
if you then click on the house icon, it will change to this and the shared library will load. at that point, two buttons will appear in the lower right corner of the iTunes window, being settings and import
now you should be able to import any content from any shared library by selecting the content and clicking on import.
if the icon looks like this , home sharing has not been set up correctly.

  • New computer and I want to transfer songs

I just got a new laptop, and I'm trying to transfer all the songs from my desktop to my laptop. A few times I had to reboot my desktop. I lost everything obiviously (including all my songs), but I thought since they were on my iPod, I could plug that in and the songs would do a reverse transfer if you will. Normally, the songs get uploaded from the computer to the iPod, and I figured they would upload from my iPod to my computer instead. Well I thought wrong. Since my iTunes library currently had nothing in it, when I wne tto sync my iPod, all the songs were deleted. This happened both times I needed to reboot my computer. It's a pain to go CD by CD and upload all the songs I like back on to my computer. So I'm wondering if someone knows how to correctly transfer songs on my iPod to my new computer, if it's even possible. Or do I have to use a flash drive and transfer the songs in small groups back and forth between the two computers? if anyone can help, that would be SO appreciated. Thanks so much!!
    Kara

*I'm wondering if someone knows how to correctly transfer songs on my iPod to my new computer, if it's even possible.*
Connect your iPod to your new computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default. Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod to a computer

Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

  • Refurbed 4th Generation Click Wheel 20 GB - Transfer songs with Firewire?

I currently own a 2nd generation iPod scroll wheel (that's about to die any day)...I'm thinking of getting a refurbed 4th Generation Click Wheel 20 GB.
Question: Can I load my huge iTunes library onto the refurbed 4th generation click wheel via Firewire? My iMac only has USB 1.1 and I don't want to transfer the data via USB (it would take forever)....unsure if this iPod will actually transfer data via Firewire or if it uses Firewire for charging purposes only.

Firewire is supported for data transfer and charging on the 4th Gen iPod.
You should have no problem at all, provided you have a Firewire-to-DockConnector cable. (I'm not sure if this is included with a refurb iPod)

  • Want to transfer songs off ipod

My old computer crashed and I lost all the memory. Is there a way I can transfer songs off of my Ipod mini to my new computer?

There's also another method. I've successfully tested this across several different Windows PCs.
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.

  • Transfer songs with iPod touch from old computer to new Mac.

How do I transfer songs from my old iTunes o my old computer to my new one with my iPod touch?

The best way is to connect the two computers together by ethernet or firewire target disc mode and move the whole itunes folder from the old computer to the new. I want to transfer my songs from my Ipod to another computer but Itunes on the new computer wants to erase my Ipod first. How do I do this? I hate the idea of all my songs being on just one computer. What if the thing starts smoking. I'd hate to have to re-collect over 1000 songs.

  • Any song with a bitrate lower than 96kbps is "Ineligible"

But my problem is, I have some about 950 episodes of speech radio series and allmost 70% is bittrate lower than 96kbps and some about 150 lessons of French language also in bitrate lower than 96kbps. I cann't upload these files to iCloud. Convert it to higher bitrate looks very stupid. Any suggestion?

The generally accepted work-around is to to make an AAC copy within iTunes.   If you wanted to use a third party solution to make MP3 files that comply with the minimum bitrate, you could do that instead.  I imagine the benefit to MP3 would be smaller files.

  • My iphone still plays songs with lower quality instead of 256kbps

I enabled iTunes match on my iPad and iPhone 4S. However, it already
has my songs already synced on them and when I play songs it plays at
lower quality than at 256kbps as claimed by Apple.
One option is to delete all the songs on the iPad and iPhone. But that
will require me to delete every song individually. How do I solve this
    problem?

When you turn on iTunes match on your iOS device it should warn you that it is going to delete your songs.  You will then need to redownload the ones you want to listen to from the cloud.

  • Have a new computer want to sync songs with iphone that is connected to old computer

    have a new laptop
have iphone synced to old laptop (now broken)
want to sync iphone to new itunes but not lose all songs saved on phone
why do apple make things so hard? please help

You are not addressing Apple, this is a user to user support forum. iTunes has always been designed to sync one way, from iTunes to the device. iDevices have always been able to sync to only one computer. It is the user's responsibility to back up their devices to minimize impact in case of failures. The reason this is designed this way also has to do with pirating music, sharing of music with people that do not have authorization to have it due to copyright laws.
I'm sorry, I cannot see why you not having a backup of your computer is Apple's concern. I'd be willing to be that you have not set up any system for backing up your new computer either. Do you backup your iPhone?
