Want to Un install the BB Z 10 Dev Alpha
Dear Team!
After a recent update to my BB Z10, it shows as Dev Alpha and now my BB Z 10 has got limited functions.
Please be kind enough to advise how can I go back to my original BB Z 10 software.

How do I manually delete iTunes and all its bits prior to re-installing the version 11 when I get a message saying I don't have permission.
I am the sole owner of my p.c. and nobody else uses it. How do I "get permission" from my own p.c.?
The p.c. is a Dell Vostro running windows 7 (64 bit) After giving up and exiting iTunes there was an error notification saying msvcr 80 is missing from your computer...Also, when I went (blindly) to administrators etc there was a red question mark against a gobbledegook long line apart from David pc which is me. Open the start menu, then select Control Panel in the right hand column. Open the Programs and Features section, type Apple in the search box at top right. You need to uninstall the components in the order suggested in the user tip.
Once all have been uninstalled reboot and use Windows Explorer to locate the named folders and delete them. Then reinstall.

I have been Happy with my IMac, and with the Leopard, but as soon as Apple Released, the Lion, I Was a Complete Stupid and downloaded, My Computer seems to be another one, maybe a 10 years old computer, and a Fool One, first when I turn On, come to life in 5-7 Minutes, after that appears a screen, who never appears Before!!, And After that my computer doesn't: Work the sound, the Mail, didnt work, the "wheel" appears every minute, Frozing the computer, It didnt recognize the USB!!!!. The worst Thing APPLE Do, is the LION, if Apple, doesnt Repair ASAP this big mess, Apple, will be in a Downhill!!!!! How, can I Re-install the Leopard, because, this system does not Alow. THANKS

Formatted HP dm4-3099se with Windows 7 Home Premium and Would Want to Re-install the Home Premium
My laptop is HP Pavilion dm4-3099se and it came with Windows 7 Home Premium. The password was misplaced and I was advised to format the system. The system was formatted (all the disks were deleted except the C: drive) and a Windows 8 pro OS installed. Shortly after the formatting, the misplaced password was found. If it is possible, I would love to revert to the OS that came with the system (i.e Window Home Premium) and also recover all the drivers that came with the system.
Please, help me.

There are Two options available.
1. You can order a replacement set of Recovery Discs using the link below - these will reinstall the operating system, all required drivers and nearly all of the original software ( the exception often being trials of MS Office ). They will also re-create all the original partitions, including the Recovery Partition.
Order HP Recovery Discs.
2. Another option you could consider is to create your own Windows 7 installation disc.
Also, if possible, back-up the swsetup folder that can be found at the root of your C drive.
You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the correct Disc Image ( this must be the same version that originally came with your notebook - this is listed as Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit ) from the link below and use an application such as ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly to a blank DVD - a guide on using ImgBurn to write an ISO to a disc is Here. These Images are clean and from a well-respected source ( Digital River ).

Use the disc to perform the installation, enter the Windows activation key found on the COA Label when requested and when the installation has completed, use the 'Phone Method' detailed in the link below to activate the OS - this method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who just want a clean installation of Windows 7 without the additional software load normally bundled with OEM installations.

Regarding the drivers etc you need, if you were able to back-up the swsetup this will contain all the software and driver installers for your notebook - if you weren't able to, drivers and software you may need can also be found Here.

This message appeared in the last 2 weeks. I was traveling and using a variety of internet portals. But it's still appearing now that I'm home, so that probably is not a factor. I have Firefox set for auto download/install of updates.
Firefox 3.6.16 has a newer build and release date than Firefox 4.0 does.

I want to re-install OS 10.2 but can't find the disks
I have an old iMac G4 that I want to re-install the OS but don't have the disks. Any idea of where I can find a copy of OS 10.2? I tried installing an 10.4 but the machine won't accept that version of OS X.
Call Apple Customer Support 1-800-767-2775, provide the Serial Number and specifications of the Mac, and for a reasonable fee, they will supply a replacement set of system discs (if available).
The discs will be for the original version of the OS that was pre-installed when the Mac was manufactured.
If they no longer stock the very old Panther OS, try eBay but make sure they are retail disks, not some machine-specific update. -
I book G4 will not boot up/want to re install but do not know the version??
My kid did something to our I book, and now it is stuck on a blank blue screen.

Help..If the iBook G4 build model you have is among the last of their production,
(mid-2005) those shipped with a machine series-specific restore/install
DVD and an early retail version of Tiger 10.4 probably won't work.
The 'mid-2005' iBook G4 12/14" 1.33/1.42GHz
computers included Tiger, one of these:
Mac OS X 10.4.2 (8D37)
Mac OS X 10.4.4 (8G32)
A last-version retail install DVD Tiger 10.4.6 could work, but it would
not include the other software as-shipped with the iBook when new.
If your computer is a late-2004, it shipped with Panther 10.3.x
and any Tiger retail install DVD (not for a specific model) can
work so long as the computer build supports the OS X version.
And, an even older iBook (G3) may have shipped with a boot OS
X version on CD media, and not even have a Combo optical drive.
The first iBook G4 should have at least a Combo (dvd reader) drive.

With the serial number information, if the computer is not
super old, it may still be possible to get a replacement set
of install discs from *Apple Sales 1-800-MY-APPLE* and if
they still can get you a duplicate or replacement set, there
would be a fee; you may get lucky, if it isn't too old a Mac.
A 'replacement set' would constitute an 'original' vintage set.

Why can't re-install the Oracle 9i AS in the last intalled LINUX ??
In my host , it is redhat 8 OS . In the last time , it has be installed the oracle 9i AS in the /opt/oracle/product/9.0.2 and I use the oracle-installer program to un-install pre-installing AS. Now , I want to re-install the AS to other $ORACLE_HOME directory , but the process of installing put the error message of following and I can’t re-install the AS:Install has detected an invalid Active EMD Home. Configured as /opt/oracle/product/9.0.2Passsible cause for this error may be a previous installaiton of oracle9i AS that ……I has deleted the /opt/oracle/product/9.0.2/* and /etc/ora* file , why has prompt the error message?Plesase get me a help for re-install the Oracle 9i AS. Very thinks for answer my question !!

How do I install the Content DVD in CS4 Web Premium?
I can't find anything about this on the forum. Sorry if it has been asked before (I know it's a very basic question), but can anyone tell me how I install the Content DVD in CS4 Web Premium, please? This is the DVD that contains the PDF manuals, Fonts and samples / tutorials for Fireworks and Photoshop.
The first two DVDs (Application 1 and 2) installed automatically, and then went straight to the Registration page without prompting me to insert any further DVDs. All of the software from the first two DVDs seems to have installed correctly.
However, when I insert the third DVD (Content), it will not auto-run. I see ut contains an "autorun.inf" file that references a program called "autoplay.exe", but the latter isn't present on the DVD. Could this be the problem?
I would be grateful for any suggestions.Cutomer support on this issue is attrocious.

I installed the new version thinking it would be the same, It was horrible! uninstalled it... Installed the older version and now it won't open and when I try it says it can't because the library can't open because it was used on a newer version. Come on! I just want my music! How do I open this and get my music back.

Thank you doesn't say it strongly enough, but THANK YOU b noir and Lorraine for your help. I was to the boiling point last night and starting to get there tonight. Now I am resting easy and thankful that there is a community of computer users out there who care enough to troubleshoot problems together and work together to figure out a solution--and then to take the time to post and share information.
I would STRONGLY suggest that anyone who is having the iTunes issues where iTunes just plain won't open at all after downloading the newest version and has a pc with Norton Internet Security 2005 try the "Lorraine Method."
I am so happy I think I might sing. Or not--I will let my songs on iTunes do the singing for me now that I can again!!!!!!!
And to those still looking for answers--be patient--I now know how incredibly frustrating this can be and I hope that you all find your solutions very very soon!!

I have been using itunes all day and then it wanted me to install a newer version. When I did it said I can't because it's missing mdsvr80 or something so i downloaded that now it has another error. How do I get itunes back the way it was or to work?

I have had nothing but grief since I upgraded to 4. It is hateful. I can't print anything. If I highlight something from a website or my email and tell the printer to just print the selection, it doesn't print. It wants me to save the the file and they all have a .tif extension and nothing will print. I have uninstalled 4 and gone back to 3.6 and the problem is still there. If I highlight the desired selection and copy it to Word 2003, it will print what I want, but I can't print anything from the browser itself. That is the only problem I'm aware of so far. I upgraded about a week ago at most, maybe less than that. I'm so sorry I did. Why can't I print anything? I don't want my selection to be a file, I just want it to print!
Thank you, but it didn't work. My printer stays on away, independently of the PC. I can print from Chrome and IE7 with no problem but not Firefox. The .tif extension refers to a tagged image something. I went looking around in the control panel and I found that Microsoft Office has it's own Access Snapshot Viewer. My company installed Office 2003 on my PC but I only use Word in my work. This snapshot viewer was listed in the control panel under Printers and Faxes. It was not the default anything but for some reason, Firefox 4 installation must have kicked it into gear. I've had the Office software for several months with not one problem. I have Firefox4 for less than a week and everything becomes difficult. I deleted the Office snapshot viewer (hope I don't get fired for it) so my little HP printer is the only one listed and now things seem to be working okay. I have FF 3.6 back up and running. I didn't lose any data and I hope the support and security updates stay available for a long time because it seems like there are plenty of people who aren't in love with FF4. Thank you so much anyway for your help.
