Want to use my G5 iMac for remote access
I have an old G5 (white) iMac that is currently not being used. It is running the last PPC software which I believe is OS X 10.5 Leopard.
One of my family members lives out of state and I would like hgim to be able to transfer files to and from his Macbook Air to the iMac, sor of as a remote backup and storage devise. I don't have the OS X Server software and even think that would be more than I am looking to do.
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions how I can expose this iMac to the web so it can be used remotely to store data and transfer files between locations?

Yes. I use CrashPlan to backup my Mom's iMac (300 miles away) to a Mac in my home.
It has been awhile since I set this up, but I think if you authenticate the remote CrashPlan as yourself, then backup server will appear in CrashPlan setup.
If you register the remote CrashPlan as different account, then you can have your CrashPlan send a connection link and authentication code that the remote CrashPlan can use to establish a connection.
This is all using the free options.
CrashPlan will back external drives, as well as backup to external drive. Again, all included as part of the free option.
The 2 main restrictions to the free option is that it will only automatically backup once a day, and you of course have to provide your own server and storage (paid option allows more frequent backups and CrashPlan will provide their own off-site storage for your data).
NOTE: In the mode of backup up to a remote friends (family member's) system, you can configure things so that you can also backup in the other direction as well. That is to say, you can backup your friend, and your friend can backup your stuff.

You can configure the AirPort Expess to "Join a wireless network" and enable the Ethernet port so that Ethernet devices will be able to connect.
In order to print from the iOS devices, you will need to have an application like Printopia installed on your Mac. The Mac must be active when you want to print.

ThanksDeleting an iCloud account only deletes it from the Device, not from iCloud. In iOS 8, the name of this setting changed to "Sign Out" as that is a better reflection of what actually happens. Your iCloud data remains on the server, available to devices still signed into the account, but the device you sign out of the account on is disconnected from the account, and as a result, the iCloud data from that account is removed from the device. It will redownload to the device should you sign back into the account.
The only issue you'll run into when you switch between accounts is with my photo stream photos older than 30 days. When you delete (or sign out of) and account, your photo stream photos are deleted along with the other data from the account in question. However, unlike other data which remains on the server and can redownload to your device when you sign back in, my photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days. When you sign back in, you will only get back my photo stream photos added in the last 30 days (as older photos are no longer in iCloud to redownload). Like other account data, any my photo stream photos on your other devices signed into the account are unaffected by this. If you want to keep older my photo stream photos on your device as you change iCloud accounts, save them to your camera roll before deleting (signing out of) the account. -

Thanks!You can't really do it in any normal way; that is, using the MacBook's video output port.
You can use this program

to make your iMac screen act as a second display, over a network connection. ScreenRecycler runs on your MacBook and creates a virtual second display. It uses the open-source VNC (screen sharing) protocol to serve that second display over the local network. You then run a VNC client program (usually free) on the iMac G3 and display the MacBooks virtual second screen in a window, which you can display full screen. Your iMac then appears to be the MacBook's second screen. You use System Preferences Displays pane to set it up, as you would a real second display.
How well this works depends on your iMac's speed, what Mac OS version it runs, and the speed of the network connection. If you connect the two directly with an Ethernet cable (Cat-5 or better), the network speed should be decently fast (at 100Base-T). If your iMac G3 has Tiger (10.4), you can use this program as the VNC client

However, this solution will never be as fast (in terms of screen refresh rate) as a real display using a real video connection. But you can try it at no cost, to see if it meets your needs. -

My question is how to run the eCATT in a synchronous RFC calls
PS: I do not want to change the Target_system to the same one in the
above script of ecatt.Because I need to run it in 2 different Target
systems sometime.
for example, I give a Target_system_3 when run this eCATT

This is the standard option value. Asynchronous are not the standard way and used only for very special purposes.

The commands will be executed in sequence. So each call will be synchronously replayed against TS1 and TS2.
What is you issue with this standard procedure?

HT3728 i want to use my time capsule for back-ups only and not connect it to the internet
I live in digs and with perfectly good wi-fi. Therefore, I simply want to use my Time Capsule for backing up my iMac. Airport Utility doesn't seem to want to let me do this and insists I connect the unit to the internet first.

The TC is really a complex thing to use, when you don't do it as Apple designed it.. and in fact on your iMac an external drive will be cheaper, faster and more reliable than a TC. But I guess you already have it so may as well use it. -
I've got a MacBook Pro 15' running 10.6.6. I want to use an external monitor for my graphic design work using Adobe software and thought I'd try an HD TV. I ran a Mini Display to HDMI lead to the TV but the picture quality was disappointing. I also tried a Mini Display to VGA lead and that wasn't much better. I tried all variations of resolutions in System prefs - Displays but nothing helped. Am I getting something wrong? Thanks all.
In addition to pixel density, you are up against the translation driver card in the TV.
If you read the fine print of computer-resolution-capability in the TV user guide, you will see a chart as tall as the manual page. At the top is the smallest resolution capable, at the bottom is the full use of the 1080p in the TV.
Mac falls into the top 25% of the page, maxing out at 1366x768 often. This is because the TV control card is expected to do too much of the work, but is not designed for computer-monitor processing.
I looked at the resolution charts on 2 TVs before deciding to buy a 1080p LCD monitor that has a TV interface/connector. Computer monitor first, TV second. But the thing is only 27 in. Good thing TV is not as important to me as it is to others. -
Wanted to include my sister and parents in the Family Sharing group under the iCloud app, but I don't want them using my credit card for their purchases. We just wanted to be able to share pictures and/or videos and find each other, if necessary. Is there a way around my card being the default for them when they go to purchase something?
If you don't want your sister to make purchases on your credit card, then Family Sharing is not an appropriate way to do what you want. You can use Find my Friends to locate each other and you can use Shared Photo Streams to share photos.

To the best of my knowledge, Windows is not capable of setting a specific sound card based on the app being used, it's all or nothing.

Basically, it seems like you may be stuck on a screen that is asking if you would like to restore your device from the backup that is filed under the name of your new iPhone, or if you would like to set up the device as a new device. I would suggest that you set it up as a new device to achieve your desired results.

Another thing to remember is the phone is actually usable for 911 calls and maybe others. Not a real good idea. Especially for a child.
It would depend however on the age of the child.
