Hi Joe, some other users have reported that the Real Downloader is not working in Firefox 22. If you have updated it and it still doesn't work, you might consider using a different downloader. I don't have any personal recommendations on that, but you can check out the reviews on the add-ons site:

If you mean that you want to update your device to iOS 7.1.1, then if it supports iOS 7 and you already have iOS 5+ on it then you should have a Settings > General > Software Update option on it for direct update. If it's on iOS 4or below then you can only update by connecting the device to your computer's iTunes (you will need an up-to-date version of iTunes on your computer). Whichever way you do the update first copy any purchases over to your computer's iTunes via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases, take a backup, and preferably take your own copy of any important documents/photos (they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have your own copy as well)

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.0.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

I have an iPhone 5s and in my iTunes music library have the songs checked that I want downloaded onto my phone. Instead of doing this, it is syncing all songs whether they are checked or not even tho I have the "sync only checked songs" box checked.

So basically it's syncing all of the songs when I just want the checked ones on. This is very frustrating.

When your device is connected, check the tabs at the top ("Summary" "Apps" "Music," etc. Under the Music one, check to see if "Sync Music>entire music library" is checked. If it is, that may be why all the songs are syncing.

Don't want downloaded photos opening at all

I know how to change the default app to open downloaded files.
How do I NOT have them open at all? I'm trying to download a whole gallery of photos and it keeps interrupting to open the files in preview. I just want them saved to my downloads folder.

This is from Safari, I guess? Safari -> Preferences -> General. Uncheck the "Open safe files" option at the bottom of the list.

I go ahead and authorize by going into iTunes/store/authorize computer, I verify the information that is given. I go back and try to redownload the apps and I get the same exact message, this computer is not authorized for this device. What am I doing wrong?

I have been trying to work through this problem by myself and have so far downloaded the most current version of iTunes. Frome there when it tells me I have to authorize this computer, I had to not put in the iPad information, I had to authorize with my current iTunes information, and any iPad or iPod, iPhone information. I have several people in the family that have different accounts, so I had to authorize each and every individual account because I didnt know which apps or music was purchased under which user. I would restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod on your computer and start over. It appears the iPod is associated with another account. Any media that came with the iPod does not belong to you and di not transfer with the iPod hardware.

The ONLY apps that can be installed will be found in the iTunes app store.
