Wanted: Zen Vision M wallpapers for desktop

Hi,
I have a strange request: I really like the design of the wallpapers offered on the Creative Zen Vision: M. I am trying to find 024X768 versions of them?to use on my desktop PC. I've scanned Google countless times without any results.Does anybody have those, if they do exist?Cheers.

The only harddisk-based PMP available would the Zen Vision:W and there are people who said that the new flash-memory based Zen Player is a replacement of the Zen Vision:M .
I do still see?a few units?of the Vision:M sold at some retail stores here in Singapore but they are basically just clearance models.

has anyone tried this to their video out cable that can let me know if it works? I don't want to go out and start splitting wires after a single article so i'm asking here. I just bought an aaxa p pocket projector http://www.aaxatech.com/products/kp9..._projector.htm for my zen but i'm also thinking about getting standard cables to hook it up to the TV or monitor. The aaxa p works fine at night and as a mobile toy to project the zen image but washes out with the lights on as you can see here:

soooooooooo i need to build a cable that lets me hook up the zen to my tv or computer monitor. Please let me know if anyone has tried this.

I had the same problem with mine. I had to use the sync adapter that came with the player?to plug the cabe into & I also had to update the firmware on the player. Hope it works for you.

  • Zen vision M: playlists for vide

Hit there!?I bought this player a few days ago, and i love the quality and freedom. But there is only one thing that puzzles me, why isnt it possible to make playlists or play more than one video at a time? I have about 70 musicvideos in the player and when me and a friend was out driving car and was listening to some of the music we played some of the videos because i simply didnt have the songs in mp3 format. Then it struck me that i have to manually choose a new musicvideo to play every time one ends. It im right, and there is no way to play more than one video at a time, i would be more than happy to see a firmware update with the function to play more than one video. I dont think its hard to implement this.

  • Video conversion issue for zen vision m 3

hi all im brand new to the forum. i seem to have 2 issues.firstly i cant find any free software to convert dvd to a file format supported by my zen vision m.anyone have any ideas?secondly (and this is the big one), i am really disappointed with the video feature of my vision.i had a zen micro before and thought it was fantastic.software was great, menu system was great.so when it was time to upgrade there was no question it was going to be a creative again.but when it comes to the supposedly supported video file formats i feel i've been duped.if i use the video converter in the software (for avi from my camera to wmv)?it tells me theres no audio.it wont work with mp4 files at all.that just freezes my zen.why do they claim it supports mp4 when it doesnt ?has anyone got this problem too?i have the latest firmware upgrade so it cant be that. thanks folks

I use AVS Video Converter from http://www.avsmedia.com/. I think it costs about $30 if I remember right. It converts practically?everything that isn't protected. They even have presets for the Zen Vision, although not for the Vision:M or Vision:W. However, it lets you easily make your own presets. The program is fast and very easy to use once you learn it. However, there is a bit of a learning curve. It has a good, simple interface but they don't hold your hand. The help is also very good. I've been using it for about 2 years and I'm glad I have it. By the way, I'm a customer of theirs and I don't get anything out of posting this. Barry?

  • Zen Vision:M doesn't want to work! He

My problem is kinda complicated. When I turn my ZV:M it doesn't load, but the blue light where you turn it on lights up and it stays that way. If you reset it, the blue light is turned off while you're pressing the reset button, when you finish pressing it, the light appears again and it doesn't load, the light just stays on there. It won't let me go to safe mode.
This is not the first time it happens. The first time it happened I tried all kinds of things and then I plugged it to the charger, then tried again all the possible things you can try, and it finally worked when I reset it (after numerous times of trying). I turned it off, went to Safe Mode and did a clean up, everything worked fine and I turned it off for good, after charging it. I never used it again until today, that I turned it on and only the blue light lit up, again. Now I can't get it to work in any way.
I bought it in June of last year and the one I have is a replacement, because the original one I bought was deffecti've as well, so I'm still in the one year warranty.
    Help!

So I pretty much explained in detail that my player is not responsi've - at all. And this is what I get as a reply from Customer Service, through e-mail... which pretty much makes me feel stupid and offended.
I really hope that this works out well in the end, now that I replied to this e-mail, or I am definetly changing my view for future purchases, since this is getting old and obvious. Fi've different players in 2 years - 3 Zen Micro's and 2 Zen Vision:M's for now.....from all those together, 4 deffecti've and that didn't get the chance to show deffects because it was thrown into the pool...
Thank you for reaching us at Creative Email Technical Support; we

  • Creative Zen Vision M (30gb) - Is it the end?

    Hi all,
I've read a lot of posts and think the only way to find a possible solution to my problem is to just post it....
I've had my Creative Zen Vision M (30gb) for about?2.5 years, apart from crashing a few times, I've always loved it and would never go near Ipod!
Lately however it's done something, that it has done before which is to suddenly 'remove' about 2000 tracks, it would go funny, crash and reset a few times, recharge with the plug and it was fine again, the tracks 'reappeared'.
Now it seems when it happened this recent time, 3000 tracks went and I was left with about 000. So i tried formatting everything cause it just wouldn't rectify itself, then I chose to reload the firmware but everytime I tried to connect it to my laptop it would say my player wasn't connected.
I have recently baught a new laptop with Windows 7 and even without the software it detects it fine and I think I could just drag music over to it now. BUT - It only has 50mb of memory! Plsu MP3 Recovery Tool and online detection firmware thingy justy doesn't think my player is connected or says cannot update firmware on windows 7?
So my questions?are - how do i fix it's Is my memory fried, would it be worth getting out the old laptop? Where do i go if i want to repair it's Even if it detects it in XP, the software doesn't detect the player.
Can anyone shine any light here? Am I forced to buy another Creative product or do I jump ship?

If the XP computer has WMP installed it may not detect the player (the firmware file) It works best on XP /SP2 WMP0 installed. The issue with WMP is a sticky in the MP3 players forum.

    Vackie_Mcbeal,
I completely understand how you feel, and I know how it can be frustrating not being able to find the exact color you are looking for. I think Creative's main goal right now is to try to get as many players out as possible; however the company does have to be careful on how it does this (you want to have as much of the popular colors as possible while still providing enough of the less popular colors).
I am keeping my eyes peeled for a Green Zen Vision:M online for the US (be it Creative's store or not) and if I find a place I'll let you know here. I'll also let some of my contacts on our e-store team know that I know of a few people who are looking for a green ZVM. Don't know if it will change anything but it can't hurt.

    Hello all:
I have an idea for those who are looking to add album art:
I have yet to see if it works with the Vision:M (mine will be here next week), but I used mediamonkey to add album art to my mp3 catalog (,200+ songs). Its easy to do and you can add art to an entire album of songs at one time. It uses Amazon's database for album art. As long as you have things properly tagged its completely automated (It took me ~.5 hours to ad album art to my entire collection). It will also ask you if you want the picture to be embedded in the id3 tag (which as far as I know you do for the Vision:M). Finally, mediamonkey is a great Mp3 management tool. Its free and you can get it at www.mediamonkey.com.

  • System Lockup Zen Vision:M 3

I have had a zen vision:M 30mb for about 3 months without any problems whatsoever. I am a light user of the product, in that I only use it for 60 minutes a day to help me fall asleep. I have never dropped the unit and rarely moves from my bedside table, except for charging or adding music. I had a very odd thing happen yesterday. When I went to shut off the player it displayed the "shutting down..." screen, but never shut off. It just hung there. After several hours of this, I tried accessing the recovery mode, but it would not engage. Nothing would occur with the player, no matter what. Even if I plugged it into my computer, the computer didn't recognize it as being installed. I assumed something serious happened to the player and was about to contact support. Finally, the battery ran completely down and the screen went blank. I plugged it into the computer and the instant I did this, I got a screen stating "Rebuilding...." . That took about 30 seconds or so. After that, the player seems to work fine. I gave it a fresh charge and now it seems to shut off properly and all functions on the player work as designed. Since I am on my final stages of all inclusi've warranty, I am a bit concerned. I was wondering if this problem is a sign of a non recoverable error happening soon? I have all the latest updates on the computer and firmware. It's working now, but I don't want it to go completely inoperable after the warranty expires... Any ideas? Thanks.

I dont think so, im sure your player just crahsed like many of ours have. You know you couldve press the reset button under your player and that would have done the same thing. In any case, im sure your fine, my player has crashed a few times already but the reset button has always brought it back to normal

  • Creative Zen Vision M Media Explorer does not work on Vi

I plugged in my device, all I can see was the name of the device under Portable Devices.
When I access Media Explorer, it said my device is not connect but in fact it actually is.
If I copy a file via Portable Devices, it automatically freezes up my computer.
Any idea how to resolve this problem?
    Best regards,

You should be able to use WMP 2 to sync your files to the player . As long as the files have album art it will transfer. You can not add the album art to files that are already one the player .You would have to delete & then sync the files that have the art. Also You may be able to use the Zen Vision M Explorer for Vista on the Win7 just install using compatibilty mode for Vista (if Win7 has that as an option) there was one written for 64 bit systems as well as 32 bit. You can tell which is which by the file name. 64 is in the file name for a 64bit system/ 32 in the 32 bit system file name.http://support.creative.com/Products...VARSET=prodfaq:PRODFAQ_433,VARSET=CategoryID:23 Click on View all Downloads

  • Zen Vision:M Problem (Firmware + Recovery Mode) (please un-sti

(apologies on the sticky, i misclicked!)
I've had my Zen Vision:M 30GB for over a year now, and I absolutely love it! Unfortunately, while on my New Years vacation this past week I accidentally dropped it after it tangled in my headphones. Immediately afterwards, I started getting the "recovery mode" problem that seems to crop up. Unable to get past this(it booted only once every million-or-so tries), I decided to use the "MP3 recovery tool" from Creative's site
Unfortunately, it froze up halfway through, and now is giving me a "Hard Disk error". I tried to reformat, and it seemed to wipe it clean...but now it wont even recognize it when I plug it into my USB port to put in new firmware! (The PC recognizes it, but not the Firmware installation)
    I don't know what else I can do....any ideas/help, please?
(I looked at Creative's support pages, but they only deal with Warranty repairs, which I don't have as it was a gift.) Can they repair/replace a broken non-warranty player, and if so, for how much?
Or is there another solution I haven't tried yet?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

  • Can't perform cleanup on zen vision:m 60

I have had my Zen Vision:M 60gb for days and it has worked fine. Today when I hooked it to my pc, it was not recognized. I reset it and now the pc will recognize it, but it shows no tracks in my music library, but the free space is the same as before I lost my music. I went to the recovery mode and rebooted first, then tried to perform a cleanup but it just sits there. Is there something else I can try before I do a format?

  • Windows 7 64 bit driver for the Zen Vision M?

    - Where EXACTLY can I find the Windows 7 64-bit driver for the Zen Vision M? My new computer came with it installed in Windows Media Player 2, but the driver became corrupt. I can't seem to find that driver on the Creative or Microsoft download websites. Please Help!

The driver is nati've to Windows. Creative does not write the MTP driver. I would suggest re-install WMP2 or contact Microsoft for advice if it is corrupt. As for software to use the player on a 64 Win 7system? there is nothing for the Vision M. You may want to read this page? http://support.creative.com/KB/showarticle.aspx?sid=605&h=3

  • Asking for opinions- Zen V Plus or Zen Vision: M

I am about to purchase my first CL product and will choose between the Zen V Plus or the Zen Vision: M. I am leaning towards the Vision M but wanted to hear from someone who may own these units and see what they thought before I dropped a couple hundred dollars. My biggest hope is that I can download music to the unit directly from Windows Media Player and not have to use supplementary software. I currently have a Pioneer Inno portable XM but to load my own media I have to use Napster and they wont allow certain artists to be loaded due to private licensing agreements and I dont want to have to deal with that. The new player will be used mostly for music but thought I would get the Vision: M?due to the larger memory and the ability to load video, if I ever become savvy enough to figure out how to do it!?Thanks in advance for you responses.

The Vision m has a hard dri've while the Zen V uses flash memory. A player with a hard dri've is much more fragile and prone to damage from dropping it or from vibration. If you plan to be very acti've with the player then I suggest that you get a player with flash memory.
