Wanting Indesign CC Panel Previews to stay ON!

Hi all. Is there a way to keep all the Indesign CC Panel Previews on as default?
EG, every time I use the Underline Options Panel, for the 1st time since application was reopened, I have to turn on the Preview Tick.
I think with Indesign CS5 and no other docs open, you could just open the panels and turn the tick on and it would stay on. I have tried this with CC and it doesn't work.

I found a workaround for my problem. I just turned the visibility of my panel on and off and it worked.. Note that this inserted a crash for ID CC..
If anyone finds a more appropriate solution for this please let me know.

CS4: Collapsed panels won't stay open

I messed up my regular workspace view and reverted to a preset and noticed the collapsed panels won't stay open when expanded. I'm not sure if this is how it used to work, but it just feels wrong.
Let's say I want to move an object to another layer. I click on the collapsed Layer-panel icon to open it, then select (click) the object on artboard and Layer panel collapses back to icon. Then I need to click the panel icon again to open it and now I can move the object to another layer, but layer panel collapses again when I select another objet.
I remember having this same UI problem with Flash CS4. Have I messed up some setting, or is this really how UI works in Illustrator? I would like to save screenspace by having panels collapsed and only keeping open the one I need. InDesign works like this, keeping expanded panels open until they are collapsed again.

Thank you! It must've have switched on when I reverted to another screenset, because I can't remember ever seeing this setting (or even reading about it).

InDesign Dialog Box Preview

Anyone know a way of having the preview box checked in all dialog boxes by default?

You can do it. Open InDesign, but don't open a document. Even, with no document open, most of the dialogue boxes from the drop-down menus at the top of the screen can be opened. Once opened, make any setting changes you want - including checking the preview box. When you hit OK, InDesign will use those settings as your new defaults. I want to hide/disable the "Menu" and "Full Screen" option that comes in hover preview panel.
I have highlighted it as red circle in the hover panel in below image.

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you want to hide the blue bar footer that comes in hover panel preview.
To custom the hover panel, you need to copying the item display template
named Item_Default. The
Item_Default display template contains a reference to the
Item_Default_HoverPanel hover panel display template.
Then you can copy the
Item_Default_HoverPanel display template and modify the hover panel display template.

How to Add a page Item in Indesign Library Panel

Hi All,
I am trying to add page Item in Indesign Library Panel using
ILibraryCmdUtils::ProcessLibraryAddItemCmd()
But it shows the message of Heap corrupt while processing the commmand.
Can any one help me out with some code snippet ?

Try the following.
Just pull out the battery and reinsert it again for the POWER restart.
Once it reaches to the loading screen, just connect your device to the charger and keep it idol for 2-3hours.
At times BlackBerry Curve 8520 takes longer time then the usual for rebooting.

I want Acrobat Reader, NOT Preview

Since I recently formated my PB and reinstalled OS10.3.9, downloaded pdfs are opening in Preview, not Acrobat Reader. I've set Reader's "Internet" preferences to open pdfs, but Preview still insists on opening downloaded pdfs. I really, really, really want Acrobat Reader, NOT Preview. What do I do?

G4 Flat-panel No Longer stays up!?! What the heck?

Can anyone advise on how to repair my G4 flat panel? The screen no longer wants to stay up. It continues to fall as though there is no spring or resistance. I've attempted to look this issue up so as not to repeat a question, but I can't find anything on it. Can someone help?

For hardware repairs such as that you should take your iMac to an Apple store or authorized Apple repair center.

HT5772 How do I delete podcast episodes that I don't want to keep without having them stay in my List view in iTunes and clog it up? I have some episodes that I've listened to that I want to keep, but others I want to delete.

Using iTunes on my MacBookPro, I find that when I want to delete selected podcast eisodes, they still stay in my List view with the cloud symbol next to them. I don't want them in my List view. I want them gone. I don't want to download them ever again. I do keep some episodes so I don't want to do the draconian thing and delete all podcast episodes once I've heard them. The other problem I have with trying to delete episodes is that some podcasts then have the same episodes pop back up as though I haven't listened to them. I've deleted a bunch of Science Friday episodes only to have them download again ready to hear. Not only that, but some episodes will finish playing or stop playing in the middle of an episode and a random podcast will start playing. Think! does that. GAH!!
Does anyone know a workaround? The same nonsense happens in any iTunes view I try.

You can delete photos from individual albums but not from the camera roll. If you try to delete a photo from camera roll it will be deleted from all other albums ("locations") that contain the photo. This is because the actual photo is in the camera roll (the albums only contain links to the photo in camera roll, not the actual photo).

Captivate 6.0 - I want to make a rollover shape stay on screen if user wants it to

I have used smart shapes as rollover popups. However, I'd like to give the user the option to select a shape or more to stay on screen, by probably clicking on it. The purpose is to give user the ability to compare the content of selected smart shapes, thus viewing both or more on the screen at the same time.
Any ideas or does anyone know of any widget that could do this, please?

Instead of using a rollover you could try adding a button which, when clicked shows the text box. You set this up by inserting a button (you can make it transparent if necessary). Under Action in the properties panel choose On Success: Show and then select the appropriate text box.

A couple things can cause this.
Right click on the red x to find out the name of the png file. Search the web server for that png and make sure that the asp worker has access to it.
The other is a image handler issue. Search the kbase for Red X NET 2005 and you will find a kbase or two that addresses this.

Interactive PDF in InDesign - works in Preview, not in export

Hello. I have a multi-state object set up. I've placed buttons over a central map on my page, with links to the proper multi-states in the object below. This works within the Preview Pane when I preview the interactivity. However, when i export non of the buttons bring up any multi-state.
Any ideas? What is changing between using the Preview pane within InDesign, and publishing the interactive PDF?
I'm using InDesign CS5.5 version 7.5.3

I ended up creating a separate page for each State of the Multi-State object. A pain, yes, but it works, then you create the same illusion, but just have the buttons set to jump to a page and not a "state" within the same page. The MSO's are not that fancy that they should require Flash. I hope that Adobe works on this to make Interactive PDFs more robust in functionality, and in how we prep files. Creating a separate page for each "state" exponentially increases the document size.
