Wanting to make FF 4 my default browser, help pages are no help!

The FF help menus show directions to make FF default browser. However after trying to follow the steps given, no response and no default. Something is missing there, don't know what. Windows XP Pro is my system.

there maybe more than one web browser on your pc, and by default ,maybe they all set to be the default browser, so you have to disable them all, disable them to check themselves to be the default internet browser. then enable firefox as the default browser.

i am having problems wid my system browser (it crasher automatically if i open a site) now i am having problems in using various applications like facebook plugin etc. because to use these app. i have to open my system browser nd it doesnot work, so can i make opera mini my default browser??

The instructions in HT4236 are as follows:
To delete synced photos and videos
In iTunes, select the device icon in the Devices list on the left. Click the Photos tab in the resulting window.

On a Windows PC, choose Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements from the pop-up menu.

No where does it say anything about a "photo pop up option". When you click on your device icon a panel with many tabs appears. One of these tabs is "Photos". You are supposed to click on the "Photos" tab.

Don't mess with the registry keys, this part worked for me:
Check the default settings in:
Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > "Set Program Access And Defaults" (on the left)
Open: Custom (click arrow on the right)
Select "Internet Explorer" under "Choose a default Web Browser"
Click OK

I was just trying to find answers from the kb articles. The one I posted actually said to use the Safari option.
From your screenshot, you are in Firefox's options, and that may help, but you are in the left most tab [General] You need to be in the right hand tab[Advanced]

I do not think that actually change the default browser merely stops Firefox being the default browser all the time. You will still need to follow the other article,that says

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 that I not only had to use my insurance on after only 4 months and get another one BUT then they decided to update it to this "New Lollipop" software!!!
The irony to all of this is, I'm not a computer and an Android tech savy person at all!!! I went from an iPhone to the Samsung because of well....it was an economically better choice- more GB, almost the same apps if not better or darn close, and last but not least CHEAPER :)
I love Apple products but let's face it, you're paying for the NAME!
