Wanting to use multiple transitions on 1 slideshow?

I want to make a slideshow for graduation party. This will be played continuously. I want to incorporate different transitions on one. I've read that you can to do it if you use slideshow from iphoto. I can not seem to get past the files when I click on media, photo. Slideshows don't show up. This is my first attempt with wanting to use multiple transitions. I've made DVD's with chapters. Plus, I never have used it as continues play. Any help and ideas would be a welcome.

In iPhoto, put your photos into an album. Then, open your album to display the photos that you put in it. Select all the photos. At the bottom of the album display window, there will be an icon called Slideshow. Click on it, and the photos that you selected will be placed into a slide show with a separate icon in the display panel. In the slideshow transition settings, select Random. That will play the available transitions at random.
If you want more flexibility than iPhoto's "Random" setting will give you, you will need to create your slide show in iMovie where you can manually insert any of iMovie's transitions. Then drag your iMovie project icon (the one with the star on it) into the window of your iDVD project.

AND - there are one very important thing with transitions and SlideShow in iDVD. They degrade the sharpness on the full DVD SlideShow. So avoiding them results in a far better DVD.
I assemble mySlideShows in iMovie HD6 (not iM'08 or 09 or 11 - as quality severely dropps) and here I'm free
to use any transition and can time it to the audio/music much better.
From here I DO NOT use Share to iDVD - but just close iMovie HD6 and import the movie project (icon with a Star on it) into iDVD - just to prevent iMovie to render (this also degrade the end result)

I want to use multiple iPads as external monitors from a PC using the iPad VGA adapter (wired)

I want to send a VGA signal to a couple of iPads using them as monitors. I currently use a pair of regular 13" VGA 1024x768 lcd monitors looping thru an LCD projector displaying the same signal sent to the projector.
I want to use the iPad VGA adapter and WIRE them in just like a convention LCD monitor. Yes there are apps like air display and others but they don't allow cloning and have latency issues and must be networked. I need an app to use the VGA adapter and actually wire them in using a VGA signal from my existing VGA distrubution amp.
The size of the iPad is perfect for my application however I cannot find an app to let me send a signal into the iPad via VGA adapter.
Any ideas?

Wanting to use multiple monitors on HP hpe210Y w-DVI-I and HDMI. Audio: 5.1 Surround

I have a HP Elite hpe210y with only two outputs of which are: 1) DVI-I and 2) HDMI. My situation is that I have 2 new HP Monitors with VGA Cables. I have an adapter for DVI-I to VGA and also VGA to Dual VGA. I do NOT want the monitors to work as Duplicates however. I want the second monitor to be an extension. I am also interested in getting even 2 more monitors in teh near future for a total of 4.
Is there some way I can get two monitors to work off one DVI-I ?
Will I be able to upgrade to up to 4 monitors?
Is there a part I need?
Wanted to mention that my OS is Win7 Home Premium 64 bit. I use IE9, Chrome and Firefox
I would of never bought this from Best Buy if I had known in advance that there was just the one regular output. I see they have one called a Phoenix which I may look into.

They will use your current graphics device.
If you are looking for a new solution - I've read about DisplayPort version 1.2 that can do 'daisy-chain connection' with multiple monitors. But this you have to 'google' yourself.

I'm a spreadsheet novice and I've been playing around with how to do what I need to do with no luck. Hoping someone will be willing to help.
I'm creating a spreadsheet to track a daily value that is entered per week.
I've created that formula so that a value each day is entered by the user (this value could be over zero, zero, or less than zero). That works.
I have a weekly total that is a starting number (above zero). What I want to happen is to have a cell that is the weekly total that subtracts the daily value total for each day in the week but only if that given daily value goes below zero. Something like: Weekly value = Starting weekly value - (Daily Value If Daily Value < 0). I would have a daily value for each day in a week.
I've been unable to find the right "if/then" wording that would do this. Any help?

With a cell selected in your table, click the Function icon in the toolbar and select Show Function Browser.
Enter "IF" into the search field and select "IF" in the search results. This is the most convenient place to get help on functions. You will find:
The IF function returns one of two values depending on whether a specified expression evaluates to a Boolean value of TRUE or FALSE.
IF(if-expression, if-true, if-false)
if-expression: A logical expression. if-expression can contain anything as long as the expression can be evaluated as a Boolean. If the expression evaluates to a number, 0 is considered to be FALSE, and any other number is considered to be TRUE.
if-true:  The value returned if the expression is TRUE. if-true can contain any value type. If omitted (comma but no value), IF will return 0.
if-false:  An optional argument specifying the value returned if the expression is FALSE. if-false can contain any value type. If omitted (comma but no value), IF will return 0. If entirely omitted (no comma after if-false) and if-expression evaluates to FALSE, IF will return FALSE.
Usage Notes
If the Boolean value of if-expression is TRUE, the function returns the if-true expression; otherwise it returns the if-false expression.
Both if-true and if-false can contain additional IF functions (nested IF functions).
Using the official syntax should bring success.

We have an iPad cart with a PC laptop for synchronizing the iPads.
How can I synchronize the iPads with different users without erasing them first? i.e., if the iPads are connected to the computer and someone else logs on, iTunes wants to erase and synchronize the iPads.

There is one account for the school. Both user's iTunes profiles on the same computer are registered with iTunes with that one iTunes account.
Guess I will just have erase all the iPads and synchronize to the new iPadCart username and not let others sign on to that computer while it's connected to the cart.

I have a context package that uses a session_id. I want to use multiple sessions as I will have multiple users creating contexts at the same time. Once the context is created with a session_id I want to reference that session_id in a view. Can this be done?

If you want each session to have its own private set of values, then omit "ACCESSED GLOBALLY" when you create the context:
CREATE OR REPLACE CONTEXT MY_CTX USING CTX_PKG
Anyone using a context like this will only see the values that were entered in his own session. There's nothing you, as the application developer, need to do to distinguish one session from another.
You can use this in parameterized views.
With the change I posted before, I can do things like:

where   sys_context ('my_ctx','gc$session_id') = '222';
What are you doing differently? You said, "I'm still not getting a return for gc#session_id." Does that mean you're misspelling the name, using '$' to set the variable and '#' when you try to retrieve it?

There is no built-in realtion between the different items in a namespace. The query immediately above is conceptually no different from

where the item in the SELECT clause and the first item in the WHERE clause are any kind of variables. SYS_CONTEXT is just another way of handling variables.

Not able to use multiple grid function in smartview

One of my client want to use multiple grid function in Hyperion smartview and he was using latest version of Hyperion smartview 11.1.2.5. But still that feature was not enabled in smart view.
Our's is windows environment and essbase server version 11.1.2.1 and APS version 11.1.2.1.

Hi,
You can use function module "LDB_PROCESS" to call a second Logical Database from a program where you already assigned one Logical DB.
There is a documentation and sample program available in every SAP system.
1. Call transaction ABAPDOCU
2. Expand node: Database Access > Logical Databases
3. Double click on node: Calling LDBs using a Function Module
There you will see an example how this can be achieved.

System Landscape using multiple clients scenario for BW

Hi Friends,
I have a scenario where I want to use multiple BW clients based on single server.
I have made client copy of the development server and want to transport the objects
to the target clients.
I am aware that such a scenario works fine in R/3 and infact i have used it
.But in BW when i hit RSA1 I get an error message "you can only use client(010)"-my development client of which copy was made.
The client copy system is 102.
Now I read a thread on sdn which said change client entry in RSADMINA table .I changed it ,but I think its cross client table and hence RSA1 is neither workinging in client copy or the parent system.I reverted back entry in client 102 and saw that development client working again fine like before.(also RSADMINA) value changed in 010.
I have tried to fix it by creating appropriate mappings using SCC4/BD54/SALE/WE20/RZ10
.Also created mapping WE20 for Partner profile and assigned the logica system.
Is it possible to have such a system landscape?
Can anyone give some useful suggestions?

I think this thing boils down to table RSADMINA where you maintain entry for your client.
The primary key there is 'Customizing ID' and when you specify there "BW" .You can't make another entry for another MANDT with another customizing id.
Whenever u login to any other client and you change entry of MANDT it is going to be reflected to all the clients and thats what is the issue.So you can't mantain mulitple entries as you can't enter two customizing ids. there.
Infact there are many reasons in the background as well which the sap note mentions like common number ranges..etc.
Lastly ..Ofcourse as Siggi said you can have another R/3 or CRM system etc on the same server but no two BW clients.I think SAP should not allow client copy for BW on the same server..it will help some bad efforts
