WAP Authentication Error

I get a "WAP Authentication Error, missing wapauth cookie" msg whenever i attempt to chk email when im using WIFI.  I'm new to my LifeDrive, and am afraid I simply do not understand what it is I need to do here.
A Side Note: I used to be able to obtain email from several sources, including aol.com, but can no longer. This 'may' have occured After i replaced the hard-drive in it with an IC, not sure.
Any advice would be appreciated.

hi,
palm devices can be connected to the internet..
but it does not use WAP, it uses WEP
you can try to configure the wifi setup of your lifedrive by going to WIFI(scan/setup) on your lifedrive..
you can check your network and just EDIT the configuration and choose WEP instead of WAP

  • User Authentication error when trying to order new 7232-P2

    So I got the email and when I click on the picture to order it and log in, it gives me a user authentication error and tells me to hit the back button to try again.  Ive tried using my account number/zip code combo and logged into My Verizon with no luck.  Tried multiple browsers as well.
    One thing I noticed, when I use my account #/zip code the back button appears fine, when I log into my verizon the back button ceases to exist and I cannot go back to try again.
    I can log into My Verizon and view my account with out issue so Im not sure what is going on and if a tech could help me push this order through that would be great.

    Sorry for these troubles. I have sent you a private message on this issue.

  • SSL authentication using client certificate failing on a fresh new Yoga 2 Pro

    I am a doctor and using a laptop to login into an SSL server for secure communication.
    I was using an old asus with win 8.1 without a problem. 2 weeks ago I got my new Y2P installed the certificate I got from the IT guys and all worked like a charm! What a wonderful laptop.
    And then, my SSD vanished suddently from the system could not boot, so I replaced the first Yoga with and identical one from the store. This time- win 8.1 an IE cannot recognize the newly issued ceertificte and getting an SSL error so cannot open the htpps website.
    Tried onekey recovery, isntalling all windows updates, using a new user nothing works. Back to the old ASUS all working fine. The IT guys said they never had such a problem, after hundreds of certificates issued the same way.
    First Y2P worked without a glitch second one does not.
    Any ideas?

    I had the same problem with my new Yoga Pro 2 when trying to connect to some https sites that worked fine with my previous computer.  I asked a friend that's a systems administrator for help and he had me look for marketing / adware type software that came pre-installed on my machine.  He warned me that more and more new computers are coming pre-loaded with this type of software that many people would consider malware.  He said that such software can cause this type of problem because of how it sits inbetween you and the sites you visit (how your information passes through it).
    I found Superfish Visual Discovery, which fits this description, was pre-installed on my machine.  As soon as I uninstalled it my https connection problems went away.  You should check your list of installed programs (go to your Control Panel > Progams > Programs and Features).  If you see "Superfish Inc. VisualDiscovery" in your list of installed programs, that is likely the casue of the problem (at least it was for me).  Hope this helps...

    I have not been able to find a solution to an error I am getting with a MAPi logon failure, I am using Microsoft Office 365 Pro Plus which has a 2013 version of Outlook (POP email not Mapi). I assume this error started after an automatic upgrade as I have been using this same set up for over 6 months

    Hi and Welcome to the Community!
    Interesting...I actually cannot determine at all why it ever worked for you...the Desktop Software is not compatible with Outlook 2013...refer:

    Unless it's Outlook that got upgraded? You were not clear about exactly what was upgraded...but, if it was Outlook, then that would indeed explain it...the upgrade took you to a version of Outlook that is not supported.

  • Avoiding 550 5.7.1 Authentication Required on Outlook 2003

    After switching, apparently belatedly, from incoming.verizon.net and outgoing.verizon.net for POP3 email to the new SSL settings ( http://ow.ly/3jpPIF ) on Outlook 2003, I was unable to send email, getting the error " 550 5.7.1 Authentication Required ."
    By trial and error, I fixed this by going to "More Settings" in Outlook -> Outgoing Server tab, leaving "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" checked, and selecting "Use same settings as my incoming mail server." The error occurred when "Log on to incoming mail server before sending email" was selected.

    Hi,
    Does this happen with any messages that you've sent? What about a simple plain text email message?
    As far as I know, 550 5.7.1 signifies an "Unable to relay" error. The specific error "This message does not comply with required standards." is usually caused by a content scanner on the SMTP server.
    For example, if you are trying to send an email message which contains hyperlinks in the body, and the SMTP server doesn't allow hyperlinks, then you will probably get the same error message.
    I would suggest you have a check on this, or contact your ISP to help with the check.

    I am running the example in LV2013.  Knowing the example does not run in LV2012, I downloaded then LV2013 on a trial basis.
    The VirualBench configuration seems to bbe OK.  I downloaded the latest VirtualBench firmware to have the FFT.  The firmware with which the VirtualBencch came with did not have the FFT.  I am including a screen shot of the instrument channel settings and another of the error I am getting.

  • Hp33250 driver initialization error

    I have an HP/Agilent 33250 Arbitrary Wavefrom Generator and am using the hp33120 driver. We have been using this driver for several years without a problem. Last week, an engineer in my group started having trouble running the 'hp33120 Initialize.vi' routine standalone. If the initialize is run as a subroutine call from another vi, it works fine. But if it is run standalone, we get the error:
    "hp33120a Initialize With Options.vi<ERR>
    Driver Status:  (Hex 0xBFFA000A) Check that the library name (hp33120a_32.dll) and prefix (hp33120a) are correct."
    The error code translates to -1074135030.
    The last change to LabVIEW software was in February with the 2009 update. I have, of course, checked the names and both are correct. Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Bob
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Yes, it has worked since the 2009 update. And, yes I am using the IVI driver and agree with you, they are more trouble than they are worth. This problem appears to be with an uninitialized global in the "hp33120 initialize with options" subVI that the Initialize vi calls. Since I do not have visibility into the DLL, I can't debug it. (I know, there are tools to debug things like this but I haven't used them.)
    I downloaded the latest driver and installed it. The VI now runs standalone. This still begs the question as to why the driver stopped working out of the blue. It's probably related to a network change but our IT people won't fess up to doing anything over the weekend.
    To confuse the issue a bit more, we distribute instrument drivers with each project (a long story related to crosslinking). This means each project should be independent but this problem showed up on all testers and projects simultaneously. The new driver did a forced install on the C: drive but it still fixed this problem. Theoretically each project should not access the version in instr.lib but they clearly do. Chalk up another win for LabVIEW tendrils!
    I consider this a workaround rather than a fix. In any case, we are back up and running.

  • System identification error 41263

    hi...
    can somebody please explain why i am getting an error "41263-The System Identification Toolkit cannot retrieve the data in system model because the model type you wire in is incompatible with the system model requirements. " while using model simulation vi to simulate an arx model i created using estimate arx model vi?

    Hi ajaleelp,
    Sorry for the delayed response on this, but I have a few questions for you.  Are you just receiving this error at run-time? Meaning you have no broken wires or anything, but the VI stopsat the model simulation VI?
    Also, have you tried our example for model simulation? You can find it here:
    C\program files\national instruments\labview [version]\examples\System Identification\Getting
    Started\General.llb
    This actually uses the estimate arx and model simulation VIs. So, you should be able to see if that works, and then compare it to your system.
    Hope this helps!

    Lookout mailer object doesn't support authentication. We are considering adding this feature, but not yet.
    Another option for you is to use other Mail Server. There are some free Mail Server softwares which don't do authentication.

  • Yoga 13 Wireless network authentication problem

    I recently bought Yoga 13 and it is a wonderful machine, but since I upgraded to Windows 8.1, I can't connect to my university Wi-Fi.
    Recommended authentication method for the university's Wi-Fi is WPA-enterprise/TKIP and it's using personal certificates. Before the Windows update, there was the WPA-enterprise/TKIP option in Wireless Network settings, but now it's gone and it only supports WPA2-personal and WPA2-enterprise with both using AES encryption. I thought, that this is driver problem so I tried both drivers available on Lenovo Support site (I couldn't find this driver anywhere else), but that didn't work.
    My last resort would be contacting ma faculty's IT technician, but he would charge me for setting my Wi-Fi, and I don't want to pay for something, which was working few days ago and which wasn't my fault that stopped working (stupid authentication method for university Wi-Fi constantly causing problems is different chapter entirely...)
    Thanks for any advice.

    It's not a new problem, it's a known problem that no one cares to fix and they continue to sell non-working products. I have a Yoga purchased in Feb 2014, it CAME WITH WINDOWS 8.1 INSTALLED! I invested in a brand new computer to keep my business operating smoothly, only to find out I just dumped a ton of money into the worst peice of junk I've ever owned. The intel wireless adapter is "not compatable"?!? Lenovo had me reinstall over the phone, it worked for 8 hours. Next day- no internet. I took it to the point of sale, they went to the Intel website and downloaded the driver again. That worked for another 12 hours. Every time I move locations and have a new access point, the internet doesn't work. So far the only "solution" offered is for me to send in this brand new business investment to be repaired, which could take 3 weeks. Sure, I'll close up shop so ya'll can work on a POS that was sold with faulty/ incompatible/ not yet compatible drivers (I really don't care what the issue is, only that is is a KNOWN ISSUE that Lenovo acts all surprised about). Every service person I've talked to doesn't have a clue what is going on, yet I can go online and find pages and pages of this very same (unresolved) issue!
    -different router and access point does not work
    -factory reset does not work, you're just reinstalling the same "incompatible" driver (that mine came with, I did not "upgrade" to anything)
    -BRAND NEW, internet has  been an issue since before any other programs were installed.
    Now my pointer is missing again, so I get to waste another several hours reading through pages of similar issues to try and figure that debacle out. I miss my 15 yr old VAIO!

  • How to setup an ikev2 VPN with public key authentication with your BB10 device

    This setup will allow you to run a VPN between your BB10.2 (and probably BB10.1) device and a debian linux computer (I am running the testing stream).  You will need to tweak this config (and possibly install strongswan server on your LAN's gateway) to get access to network resources, or access the internet via the VPN.  I have created this setup with the intention of accessing files/services on the debian computer only.
    1.  Install strongswan on your debian machine(I have v4.6.4 installed, I think the current testing version is v5.1.  If you install v5+, some lines in the config may be obsolete), and install any other extra packages you are prompted to install:
    apt-get install strongswan strongswan-ikev1 strongswan-ikev2 strongswan-starter openssl ipsec-tools
    2.  Generate certificates on your debian server in any, starting with a certificate authority.  Edit the C= O= CN= fields to whatever you want:
    ipsec pki --gen --outform pem > caKey.pem
    ipsec pki --self --in caKey.pem --dn "C=CA, O=none, CN=Certificate-Auth" --san="Certificate-Auth" --ca --outform pem > caCert.pem
    Generate a server keypair (again, editing the same fields as I indicated above.  The CN= field should be lan ip address of your strongswan server.  I would also put this as the address in --san=, or you can specify your hostname(if you have one, i.e. mydomainname.com):
    ipsec pki --gen --outform pem > serverKey.pem
    ipsec pki --pub --in serverKey.pem | ipsec pki --issue --cacert caCert.pem --cakey caKey.pem --dn "C=CA, O=none, CN=192.168.1.100" --san="192.168.1.100" --flag serverAuth --outform pem > serverCert.pem
    Generate a keypair for your BB10 device (choose a CN=, and use it in the --san field @your server lan ip or hostname:
    ipsec pki --gen --outform pem > userKey.pem
    ipsec pki --pub --in userKey.pem | ipsec pki --issue --cacert caCert.pem --cakey caKey.pem --dn "C=CA, O=none, CN=bb10" --san "[email protected]"  --flag serverAuth --outform pem > userCert.pem
    3.  After generating your keys, package the client keys for your BB10 device(you will be asked to create a password): openssl pkcs12 -export -in userCert.pem -inkey userKey.pem -out bb10.pfx
    Copy the bb10.pfx file, and serverCert.pem to your BB10 device and import the certificates into the certificate store(Open Settings --> Security and Privacy --> Certificates --> Import)
    4. Move the certificates into the appropriate folders on your debian server:
    mv caKey.pem /etc/ipsec.d/private
    mv caCert.pem /etc/ipsec.d/cacerts
    mv serverKey.pem /etc/ipsec.d/private
    mv serverCert.pem /etc/ipsec.d/certs
    5. Enable ip forwarding on your debian machine:
    edit /etc/sysctl.conf - change the following value as follows:
    net.ipv4.ip_forward=1
    Close the file and save changes.  To enable changes, type:  sysctl -p /etc/sysctl.conf
    6.  Edit config files:
              ipsec.secrets:
    : RSA serverKey.pem
            ipsec.conf:
    config setup
            strictcrlpolicy=no
            uniqueids=yes
    conn %default
            ikelifetime=60m
            keylife=20m
            rekeymargin=3m
            keyingtries=1
            keyexchange=ikev2
            leftfirewall=yes
            dpddelay=30
            dpdtimeout=120
            dpdaction=clear
    conn bb10
            mobike=yes
            ike=aes256-sha1-sha1-modp1024!
            esp=aes256-sha1!
            left=%defaultroute
            leftid="C=CA, O=none, CN=192.168.1.100"
            leftcert=serverCert.pem
            right=%any
            rightsourceip=10.10.0.1
            rightid="C=CA, O=none, CN=bb10"
            rightauth=pubkey
            leftauth=pubkey
            pfs=yes
            auto=add
    7. Start the ipsec service on your debian machine: service ipsec stop; service ipsec start
    8. Set up the VPN connection on your blackberry: Settings -->Network Connections --> VPN --> Add.
    a) Profile Name:  Give your VPN a name
    b) Server Address:  Enter your server's address
    c) Gateway Type: Generic IKEv2 VPN Server
    d) Authentication Type: PKI
    e) Authentication ID Type:  Identity Certificate Distinguished Name
    f) Client Certificate: The client certificate you imported should show up in the dropdown
    g) Gateway Auth Type: PKI
    h) Gateway Auth ID Type: Identity Certificate Distinguished Name
    i) Gateway CA Certificate:  Find the certificate authority you imported.  If you used the same name as I did above when creating the certificate, if will be called "Certificate-Auth".
    j) Perfect forward secrecy : ON
    k) Change IKE Lifetime to 3600
    l) Change IPSEC lifetime to 1200
    You can leave everything else on default settings.  Save your VPN profile.
    9. Connect to your VPN.  You should now be able to ping both ways between your blackberry and debian host.  Using the above configuration, your blackberry device will have the ip address of 10.10.0.1.

    There have been numerous bb10 updates (now 10.2.1.2977) since I first posted this mini how-to-I am not sure if it was the bb10 updates, or updates to strongswan (now v5.2.0) or my linux kernel (v3.15.3), though I am now able to use stronger hash and elliptic curve key exchange.  I am using sha384 in my example, though have also got it working with sha512.  Give it a try:
    Simply use the same process I detailed before, though change the following lines in ipsec.conf:
    ike=aes256-sha1-sha1-modp1024!
    esp=aes256-sha1!
    to
    ike=aes256-sha384-ecp521
    esp=aes256-sha384-ecp521
    Be sure to restart strongswan after you change these lines in the config.
    After this is done, change 'Automatically determine algorithm' to off in the VPN profile settings of your VPN connection profile on your blackberry.  I'm not sure why it doesn't work automatically.  State the following in this section:
    IKE DH Group:  21
    IKE CIpher: AES (256-bit key)
    IKE Hash: SHA384
    IKE PRF: HMAC-SHA384
    IPSec DH Group: 21
    IPSec Cipher: AES (256-bit key)
    IPSec Hash: SHA384
