WAP321 - DHCP for wifi clients not working
My WAP321 connected to a office switch A.
WAP321 wifi clients unable to get DHCP
Clients wired to switch A can recieve DHCP.
Using firmware vesion 1.0.2.3
I'm perplexed still.
Due to a earlier print issue I've reset the WAP321 and uploaded the latest firmware. Which seems to have fix the printer issues but not fix my DHCP request issue.
Been doing some more digging and drilled it down a little further.
What I have is unmanage switch(no vlan) which is connected to WAP321(with static IP).
I'm able to wifi SSID connect ok with the OSX laptop i.e. request DHCP work.
Now i'm running a VM on this laptop ( Virtual Box running FreeBSD )
VM/FreeBSD boots but is unable to get DHCP requests.
If i connect the laptop to another wifi AP point the same virtual box VM/FreeBSD - i'm able to get DHCP requests
(note: AP different make & connected to same unmanage switch)
Seems to surgest WAP321 could still be the issue.
Although (Virtual Box + FreeBSD VM) could also be an issue - which is beyond this forum.

FN + F3 for WiFi Activation Not Working
Hello,
I'm using an Acer Switch 10 Tablet PC. I made a mistake of removing the tablet from the keyboard while playing a game. After that, my fn + f3 for turning on and turning off the wifi and my fn + f7 for turning on and off the touchpad doesn't work
anymore. The other functions however are still working though. Did I break my laptop? If not, what can I do about it?
Thank you.Hi,
I would suggest you first locate the function lock key on your laptop then press it and after that try F3 and Fn key together.
Refer:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Type-without-using-the-keyboard-On-Screen-Keyboard
If the issue still persists, let's try to clear wireless network, to see what's going on:
Type manage wireless network in Start Search, and click "manage wireless network", DELETE all the network there.
Press Fn+F3 to see if it can work fine.
Then reconfigure your wireless connection.

Hi,
I have developed 2 applications (will ultimately operate on two different machines, but for development I want to run them on the same computer) that work in a similar manner to the TCP Communicator examples in LabVIEW 8.20. What I can't understand is why the examples do not catch their own send commands.
Each of my applications has a send and recieve while loop - one app. listens for a connection and the other creates the connection. That is working fine, but when I send information (which is intended to go from one application to the other) - it will get often "get caught" by the recieve loop that is operating with the same TCP/IP connection. This makes sense because both loops are looking at the same port, but there should be a way around this because it does not occur in the examples provided by NI.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
TravisI'm surprised you can get that far.
I currently have 4 loops on two computers.
Loop1 (on PC #1) uses port 2702 to talk to Loop2 (on PC#2)
Loop3 (on PC #1) uses port 2701 to recieved data from Loop4( on PC#2)
I'm using TCP Listen.vi, TCP Open Connection, and TCP Read/Write.
I intended for this to allow simultainous communication betwen the PCs using two different ports (I know TCP IP supports this, I can surf the web and download something via ftp at the same time) but LabVIEW says "The specified network address is currently in use." When I run the VI on PC1.
I agree the address might be in use but not that port number (I know they are wired correctly to 2701 one way and 2702 the other way).
Any suggestions? -
Hi, I have iPad 2, when I buy it it has old iOS. Then I update it now it has 5.1.1 iOS and modern firmware 4.12.01. After update my wifi is not working. Only searching for wifi. 3G working well. But wifi olso worked with old iOS. So what can do ? Pls
Look at iOS Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398
iPad: Issues connecting to Wi-Fi networks http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3304
iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4199
Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Hi I have iphone 4s and my Bluetooth and wifi do not work. it was working before and I did not do any update for IOS or anything but it just happened. what I should I do to resolve this?
Hae you tried to do a hard reset of your phone? This will not lose any data. Hold the sleep/wake button and the home button until the phone turns off ignoring any slide to power off messages. Then power the phone back on.

After upgrading iOS 7 on my iPhone 5, the wifi is not working . It cannot detect any wifi nor am I able to enable wifi under settings. Is there a way for me to fix this?
Hi samer almasri,
If you are having issues with enabling Wifi on your iPhone you may want to try a couple of things to troubleshoot. First of all I would quit all open applications on the phone and try again. See this previous thread for how -
How do I close apps on my iPhone with iOS 7?

Next, I would try restarting the iPhone -
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset

Wifi Sync not working on iOS 6 and iTunes 10.7 with iPhone 4S
I am running Windows 7 64-bit but WiFi Sync is not working on either my iPhone 4S or my wife's iPhone 4S. Worked fine before upgrading. All settings look correct in iTunes 10.7 and on our iPhones 4S's. Already tried uninstalling iTunes and all associated Apple programs (Bonjour, Apple Mobile Device Support, Apple Application Support, etc) and reinstalling iTunes but no help. Temporarily disabling Norton Firewall did not help. If I hook up either of our two 4S phones via USB wire, they Sync and Backup fine. Just WiFi Sync not working. Can't initiate sync from iPhones because button is ghosted stating it is waiting for PC to be present. Phones don't show up under Devices in iTunes unless hard-wired via USB cable. Any suggestions?
I am getting sync issues too (although on OSX) - seems like others are getting issues too:

My iPod Touch 3rd gen is screwed up the backlights screwed and the Wifi is not working its showing no wifi!
See:
iOS: Wi-Fi or Bluetooth settings grayed out or dim
One user reported that placing the iPod in the freezer fixed the problem. A trick that works frequently with iPhones:
Settings > AirPlane Mode ON, Do Not Disturb ON
Power down and wait 5-10 minutes
Power up
Settings > AirPlane Mode OFF, Do Not Disturb OFF
If not successful, an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is usually in order.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
For backlight
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Wifi does not work correctly on iPad Mini w/ Retina display
I've found that Wifi does not work properly on the iPad mini w/ Retina display.
Some background: I own three iPads (iPad mini w/ retina display, iPad mini, and iPad 3rd gen), an iPod touch 5th gen, and a Macbook Air, and use them all frequently with my pocket Wifi router.
None of them exhibit any Wifi problems whatsoever except for my iPad mini w/ retina display.
Here are the details:
In the middle of using Wifi with my pocket Wifi router, the Wifi connection will abrubptly drop, then reconnect. After the Wifi reconnects, it is no longer able to connect to the internet (even though Wifi itself is connected).
Once the iPad mini w/ retina display's Wifi gets into this state, the following may or may not restore WiFi temporarily:
Restart the device
Reset network settings
Yet, even if connectevitiy is restored, the problem will happen again within minutes.
When the iPad mini w/ retina display gets into this state, the Wifi on my iPod touch, other iPads, and on my Macbook Air work perfectly fine, so I know the problem is not with my Wifi device or it's connection, but specifically with the iPad mini w/ retina display
Note:
The iPad mini w/ retina display never has any issues with my home or work Wifi networks. The problem only happens when connected to my pocket Wifi device. Yet, all of my other iOS devices and my MacBook Air work perfectly with my pocket Wifi device, therefore I know the problem is not with the pocket Wifi device, but with the iPad mini with retina display.
Solutions:
Resetting the iPad mini w/ retina display to factory settings does not solve the problem
Resetting network settings on the iPad mini w/ retina display does not solve the problem
I have even replaced my original iPad mini w/ retina and got a new one. Yet, the new device exhibits the exact same behavior as the original device.
Conclusion:
I know this is not a hardware problem (since it happened with both my original as well as replacement device).
I know this is not a problem with my pocket WiFi router, since it works perfectly with all of my other iOS devices and MacBook Air.
Therefore, this must be a software / firmware bug with the iPad mini w/ retina display. Apple will need to fix this in a future software update.
Has anyone else seen this problem?I too have experienced this issue over the past two days... I have a 16gb ipad mini retina, for reference. I bought the device one week ago, and had not experience any issues at all until bringing my device to work. I logged into my work's enterprise level wireless network both yesterday and today, maintained normal wifi capabilities for 2-4 hours each day, and was then randomly dropped, both days. I tried hard resets, resetting my network settings, airplane mode, etc. Nothing has worked. I am still offline on my ipad mini retina.
My iPhone 5 is sitting right next to my iPad mini retina. The iPhone is currently connected to the same very network, and has been for the past two years. I have never lost connection on my iPhone's wifi, just my iPad mini retina.
This must be some kind of bug, as it does not sound like a hardware nor network issue.
Hopefully they fix this in 7.1. -
Playbook after upgrading to 2.1.0.1917 WIFI is not working anymore
Good day to All!
I really need help on how to resolve my issue on Playbook OS 2.1.0.1917.
After the OS updated to 2.1.0.1917 the WIFI is not working anymore. I did some work around but still not working.
I have tried to factory reset the Device but the device unable to proceed in setting up the WIFI because like i said its not detecting any WIFI connection around me at all.
Please help me on how to fix this issue. I hoping that someone will be able to help me regarding this issue.
Note: Done with the following work around.
-Changing router
-Unsuccessful downgrade the OS version.
-resetted the device
-NOW i cant even us the playbook.
Please let me know how to fix everything to back to normal...
Thanks in advance for the help....
Cheers!!!You said you used every way... there are only 3 ways.. usb from cumputer cable... standard wall charger through USB connection ( Mini USB port ) and the Magnetic quick charger which is the same as the quick charger docking station.. if the USB Mini port is no longer valid ( look forward to that being the condition if not now , then soon ) this would be a result. USB port is a slow charge anyways... not the proper solution... EVER. The more use the USB mini mort gets the sooner it will be a non viable option... should ONLY be used tor Balckberry Desktop conection use...
Let us all know if this is the case.. you can buy an Magnetic quick charger or docking station ( which is pretty cool ) on e bay for 8 or 9 dollars.. Let us know how long you have had this unit and if you think you have abused the USB connection port... once you get the magnetic 3 pin connector to charge the unit. -
