WAP4410N Memory Utilization Reporting 100%

My network management platform flags the WAP4410N as continuously reporting 100% memory utilization. I updated to the latest code(V2.0.4.2, but the problem persists. I confirmed with the software vendor that the MIB is actually reporting 100% utilization. Has anyone else seen this symptom?

Paul,
I haven't seen any case within the support center reporting high memory utilization consistently. If you are experiencing problems with 4410 then i would give the SBSC @ 1-866-606-1866 a call. If no problem persist then it's probably just a spike at which time all units will generally spike occasionally at 100%

  • Generating Memory Utilization Report in HUM

    Hello All,
    I was trying to generate reports for devices in my network. I noticed that for most devices, the memory utilisation (no value for memory utilisation instances) was not polled though it's part of the variables in my poller configuration.
    Kindly help me out on this. See the attached for more information.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,
    I'll appreciate if anyone can assist with generating memory utilization report for devices in CHUM.

  • Memory utilization alway at 100%

    I frequently receive alerts via EM 12c that I have reached near 100% of my memory for my host servers. My servers have lots of RAM and have been running fine for a long time. I have tried to increase the metrics so it does not warn me until it hits 99.5% but it still sends me alerts. I am not sure what I have to configure differently for EM to not think this is a problem.
    Thanks
    Andy

    Just to clarify a few things. My oracle databases instances are running on an 2 HPUX server. Enterprise Manger consistently shows that the Memory uitilization is near 100%, it never really drops it just stays flat lined at near 100% and every once and a while their will be a spike where it will drop to 90 or 95%. I am letting AMM auto tune the memory between PGA and SGA. I only have agents running on HPUX for Enterprise Manager.
    I have Enterprise Manager 12.1.0.1 setup on a Windows 2008 R2 server. I have only had EM setup for a few months but I beleive the issue of memory showing near 100% is an old issue. Again the environment and the servers are working fine.
    After doing a bit more research to me the real problem is how enterprise manager looks at the memory. If I use an utility such as a tool that comes with HPUX called "Glance" it shows the following. I have 32 GB or Physical memory, System is using 7.5 GB of this memory and User is using 10.7GB and their is 15.1 GB of free memory. So the "Glance" utility shows my memory utilization is just fine.
    FYI memory is also showed to be healthy when looking at it with the below command.
    # swapinfo -m
    Mb Mb Mb PCT START/ Mb
    TYPE AVAIL USED FREE USED LIMIT RESERVE PRI NAME
    dev 34816 0 34816 0% 0 - 1 /dev/vg00/lvol2
    dev 34816 35 34781 0% 0 - 0 /dev/vg02/lvolsw1
    reserve - 6626 -6626
    memory 31147 14588 16559 47%
    To me it seems to me that Enterprise Manager is adding up the System Memory + User Memory + Free Memory and comparing it to the Physical Memory. When it should be taking only System Memory + User Memory and comparing it to Physcial memory. So the metrics it is looking at need to be modified somehow.

  • How to measure JSP Memory Utilization

    I'm trying to build a tool that will tell me how much resources a JSP is consuming. Am using 1.4.2_14. I'm using a static heap size (1GB) and -Xgc:singlepar. I've created a filter that does a Runtime.totalMemory () - Runtime.freeMemory () before and after a chain to the JSP. To test this I built a simple JSP that I call from a shell script with curl:
    <%
    int alloc = 131065;
    if (null != request.getParameter("alloc"))
    alloc = Integer.parseInt(request.getParameter("alloc"));
    Object[] o = new Object[alloc];
    for (int i = 0; i < o.length; i++)
    o[i] = new Object ();
    if (null != request.getParameter("clean"))
    for (int i = 0; i < o.length; i++)
    o[i] = null;
    o = null;
    out.println("Done with " + o.length);
    %>
    When running this JSP repeatedly starting with a allocation of 131,064 objects I get a heap growth of 0 until I increment to 131,067. Then I seem to get good information but every so often I'll see a 18MB bump in memory. The size I get for heap growth at 131,067 is 512,288 bytes.
    Why can't I see any memory utilization below 512KB?
    What is this 18MB bump in memory?
    Is there a way for me to get a more accurate measurment?
    Thanks,
    Hari

    It's possible that the totalMemory() and freeMemory() calls are not 100% exact all the time; I don't remember exactly how that info is gathered.
    There is a way to get very exact memory consumption with JR. Mail me for details.

  • Monitor memory utilization

    Hi,
    on 10g R2,
    in documentation (Database 2 Day + Performance Tuning Guide) it is said :
    To monitor memory utilization:
    1.On the Performance Summary page, from the View list, select Memory Details.On my DBcontrol I do not have the View list to select Memory Details.
    Would you confirme please that it is the case for DBcontrol ? And "View list, select Memory Details" is available only in Performance page in Enterprise Manager ?
    Is in AWR report any part indicating host memory utilization ?
    Thank you.

    do you use Standard Ed? in such a case AWR/ADDM is unavailable.
    If you use Ent.Ed. then see parameters:
    timed_statistics TRUE
    statistics_level TYPICAL (best)
    also see the snapshot interval and retention period:
    col snap_interval format a30
    col retention format a30
    select     snap_interval, retention
    from     dba_hist_wr_control;

  • Interafce utilization report in lms 3.1

    Hi I have installed LMS 3.1 at ine of our customer. when we are extracting interface utilization report(HUM interface report) It gives me the graphs which are in format of packets/second or value in % . Customer want a simple report which will give him the graps in bite or Kb per second. even if when the operator will pull the report the report should be generated simplly port utilization for both RX and tx in Kb or Mb insted of octate/packets per second.
    Is it possible ? if it is possible please guide me how to configure the report template.

    Hi Joe,
    Can you clarify if this is correct
    ( Avg % Rx + Avg % TX ) x Total Bandwidth configured on interface/100 = Total Bandwidth Utilization
    For eg:  Avg % Rx=11
                Avg % Tx=11
                Interface= Gigaethernet 1/1
                Bandwidth 465000
    Bandwidth= 465000= 46.5 Mbps
    Now Applying formula = (11+11) x 46.5/ 100 = 10.23 Mbps i.e actual interface utilization

    Gautam

  • Utilization Report

    Hi all,
    I need to prepare a utilization report(in WebDynpro) which accepts two dates(start date and end date) as input and gives the output as follows:
    ex: St.date : 10/04/2006      End Date: 30/05/2006
                   April                May
              10 11 12 13.....30   1 2 3 4 5......31
    name 1      progress bar(with color red to indicate free name 2        days and green to indicate busy days)
    name 3
    It would be of great help if someone can throw some light as to how to proceed

    Hi,
    So basically you will input the date range and the partner. This will take data from the database and display it in a table with busy dates as bar with red colour and free days as bar with green colour. If this is correct then it is easy.
    1. First create your own node with the attributes like date, barColour and details etc..
    2. Create a table for the following attributes. For the busy or free dates you can keep progressive bar as the item and then bind it to the attribute barColour.
    Keep the <b>barColour</b> attribute of type -->
    <b>com.sap.ide.webdynpro.uielementdefinitions.ProgressIndicatorBarColor</b>
    3. For each record from the database see if the partner is free or not and accordingly set the colour of the bar.
    <b>Positive</b> gives <b>green</b> colour
    <b>Critical</b> gives <b>red</b> colour.
    Keep <b>percentValue</b> as <b>100%</b> and <b>showValue</b> as <b>false</b>
    I think this will do. Feel free to ask if there is any other doubt.
    Regards,
    Mahesh K.

  • Cisco PI 2.1 can't generate CPU utilization report

    Hi Expert,
    I just want to generate a CPU utilization report for my test router, I follow cisco offical documents step by step.
    But unlucky, there's no result be display when I finished run the report.
    Can anyone come cross this issue? Please help me to solve this issue.
    The config detail please refer to attachment (Pic1, 2, 3)
    Thanks in advance,
    The PI display this error:
    No data matches the specified criteria for the report
    make user that the following background tasks are running:
    1.controller performace
    2.switch CPU and Memory Poll
    BR
    Frank

    It's a VM.
    I chose the Express-Plus profile even though I could technically have used the Express profile for what they're managing. I always try to err on the side of more resources when building a management system. Getting a customer to adapt their workflow to properly leverage a NMS is hard enough without it also being a drag to use due to system sluggishness.
    We're also running it on a nice new shiny data center - UCS B240 series blade with fast storage on Netapp SAS disks and connected directly to the 7010 core (via the Fabric Interconnect of course).

  • Swap utilization is 100 %

    Hi All,
    In my production system swap utilization is 100% that is causing performance issues, when we execute top & Glance command , couldn't find workprocess which are using more memoery here i could see only 2 process are using 2 gb memory, actually we have 32GB memoery. also we have checked in sm04, ther also no workprocess is using much memory. In St02  detailed analysis also utilizing memory is 3gb. i could see occupied physical memoery in ST06. there only 1GB free meomery.
    Could you please some one help me how we can find where this physicall memory is utilizing.

    What's your current physical memory size?
    Just set all memory related parameters according to your physical memory and re-check.
    Increase your physical memory if required (contact SAP for fine tuning)

  • RAM utilization becoming 100% after restarting it is ok

    Hi
    Gurus i am using ECC6.0 Sql server on windows , our system RAM utilization for every 2 or 3 days becoming 100%, and then all repsonce times are becoming high...When i restart the system then system will be ok.
    any i suggestions where do i start the investigation...
    Thanks in advance
    Balaji

    Hi,
    Looks like the Memory requirement in your system is higher the resources you have in the system.
    The reason why you are getitng the slow respsone is that when all the phisical memory is utilised, paging used to start which cause the system slow and when you restart the system, all the memory utilization refreshed and all the pages got free again.
    Please check the memory consusmpltion in your system using the Tcode ST06 and if swapping is high most of the time, You can take a call for increase RAM of your system.
    Please also make sure that you have set the SAP recommanded parameters for paging related in your system.
    With Regards,

  • MPE Utilization report vs In Session monitoring

    I have MPE 2.1.1.2. We have 25 voice ports and 20 Web ports. Today when I go look at the utilization report for voice it says 100% scheduled and 10% utilized. At the same time I look at the in session monitoring and count 15 ports in use for voice. Is there something I need to correct for reporting or is it broken? Thanks
    Donnie

    Hi Donnie,
    Just a thought here
    The Port Utilization report looks at this usage over a specified period of time
    (I believe the default is 9 hours) so over the 9 hours (in my example) the Voice
    Ports used vs scheduled average was 10%.
    The Session monitoring is a "real time" look at the port usage. When you checked
    the Ports being used were 15/25 but throughout the Reporting period that is referenced
    in the Port Utilization Report (above) this was not the case. You might want to tune the
    parameters for the start/end times in the Port Utilization Report to reflect the most
    accurate data.

  • Cisco Router Memory Utilization

    Hi,
    We have a Cisco SA520 Router (Firmware 2.1.18)
    We are only using this for about 1 month now. Router seems ok its just
    I am worried about the  Memory utilization which reach to 62% (144/234 MB)
    Is this something to worry about?
    How can I utilize this by lowering down the usage?
    Pardon me I am just to new Cisco devices.
    Many Thanks.
    AC

    AC,
    Please go ahead and upgrade to the latest firmware 2.1.51 Memory utilization shouldn't be a problem. After the upgrade please keep an eye on the memory and report back.
    Thanks,
