WAP4410N - mode bgn, Data rate with mixed g & n clients

Does the data rate to N connected clients go down to G rate if there is even a single G client connected?

Hello James,
Thank you for writing. The relationship between modes and effective client data rates breaks down as follows:
B, G, or N Only: The WAP only accepts clients for the particular mode defined. Clients will operate at up to the defined data rate (11 Mbps for B, 54 Mbps for G, and up to 300 Mbps for N).
B/G Mixed: The WAP will accecpt both B and G clients at their respective data rates. N clients will netotiate at the G data rate.
B/G/N Mixed: The WAP will connect all clients at their respective data rates. B clients will negotiate at only up to 11 Mbps. N clients can netogiate at up to a theoretical 300 Mbps. The WAP will accept multiple modes simulationoulsy. However, your effective data rate will only be as fast as the slowest mode connected. Therefore, connecting a B device will lower your overall data rate.

  • How to achieve high usb data rate with cRIO-9022?

    Hi all,
I read the datasheet of NI-9022 and know that USB data rate can be 480Mb/s.
I want to transfer data with rate 3.6MB/s which is much slower than the spec, but the result is time out error.
I check my FPGA and RT code by save to RT disk and the result is pass. So I think my code should be correct.
Is that because the USB driver not installed into RT?
Should I install the USB driver into RT?
Or is there any other issue I haven't find?
    Thanks a lot.

According to this document: Data Storage Options for CompactRIO, depending on many conditions, such as complexity of processor
requirements, USB data can be transferred off the controller at
    approximately 700 KB/s.
Also, you don't need a driver to get a USB mass storage device to work on the cRIO. Have a look at this document:
Utilizing Features of the USB Port on My cRIO-901x or My cFP-22xx Controller
Not sure if these issues are causing timeout errors. What happens when you transfer data at lower speeds? Do you get timeout errors then?

  • XMP data issue with mixed up audio

I have a lot of xdcam (+similar) footage in a rather large project.
We move the project around a fair bit to different systems/editors etc.
A couple of times we have had audio in some of the footage all muddled up. Not in sync at all, in fact as if
a time displacement effect has been placed on the audio. Really weird!
I sorted through the forum and found others had the issue and a fix was to delete all the cache files.
This did not work for me and after alot of trial and error I found that if I deleted the .xmp file associated with the media and then reopened project and relinked
all was fine, back to the way it was.
As a precaution to not have to check all cut programs each time we change systems I'm thinking of deleting all .xmp files associated with the media each time as a precaution.
    My question is this:
If I turn off "Write XMP ID to files on import" will this solve my problem? Why is this function needed?
Would I turn off "Enable Clip and XMP Metadata Linking aswell?
Basically my project is huge and important, I can't afford to have a corrupt .xmp file placing egg on my face.
    Thanks in advance

    Shrinivas,
You mentioned PIRs in your most recent post, which you hadn't mentioned previously.  I won't address that topic in this post; PIRs and Dependent requirements are completely separate objects and troubleshooting is quite different.  In APO, DepDmd is the equivalent of an R/3 reservation.  It is usually linked to a planned order.
Unfortunately, SAP didn't do a very good job in CCR with reservations. Note 508667 speaks about manual reservations, but I have had the same problem with ProdRes (which are not manual) and I solved it following the instructions in this note.  You basically delete the orphaned objects using SE37 to execute Function Module /SAPAPO/DM_RESERVATION_DELETE.  Although the note refers to old APO releases, Note 573091 (release independent) still quotes this method.  Sheesh, you'd think they woulda fixed this by now.....
Another thing to try when all else fails: virtually any type of order in APO that still exists in LiveCache can be manually deleted if you know the GUID.  Look up the GUID using the LiveCache  data browser (/SAPAPO/OM16).  Then plug the GUID(s) into program /SAPAPO/OM_DELETE_INCON_ORDERS..

  • Poor data rates with new G5 Dual Core & factory installed Airport Extreeme

I have finished porting over data from my G4/500mHz to my new G5/2.3. Placing the G4 off line and using the new G5 has me disturbed regarding the wireless performance.
I first noticed that the signal strength indicators on the G4 and the G5 never matched - the G5 was always lower. On boot the G5 wireless signal came on strong then faded to a single dot. I did the CNET cable modem test and it came up at 58k/sec!!!!!
I have been testing this all day. I now have my wifes IBM laptop running the same test and I get 1.5mb/sec. The old G4 agrees with the IBM at 1.5mb/sec.
I swapped out the Linksys with an old B model and the results are the same.
Is any one else seeing this happen??
G5 Dual Core 2.3 gHz factory Extreem card   Mac OS X (10.4.3)   Linksys54G and Comcast cable

Actually, I think the problem may be were the antenna is located on the Dual Core G5. On previous versions, the antenna was external, you could even add a higher gain antenna if needed. The new dual core and quad have the antenna internal to the machine, and I think this is probably why your G5 is showing a low signal strength.
I would imagine two possible fixes for you, assuming you want to stay with a wireless connection.
First, an external antenna. You would need to find out the type of antenna connector used on the Airport Extreme/Bluetooth card internal to your G5, then buy an external antenna with the same type of mating connector on its cable.
The second option would be to add either a USB Wireless adaptor, or an Ethernet wireless bridge. Either would provide you with a better wireless connection and the ability to move the antenna around to get the best reception.
The third (you knew there would be a third, right?) is to connect via standard Ethernet. Much faster and much more stable, though you will need to run cable.

  • WAP4410N firmware 2.0.4.2 bug: 300Mbps data rate not possible

I've spent parts of the past five days buying and exchanging several WAP4410N units because I was not able to achieve anything close to a 300Mbps data rate. I also tried various wireless-n network cards which were known to be configured correctly for 300Mbps speeds with no luck.
The highest speed I was able to achieve was 130Mbps, which is an indication that channel bonding is not in effect.
Then I came across another post in the forums:
WAP4410N does not exceed 130Mbps in N mode at close range.
where the OP mentions recently upgrading to firmware 2.0.4.2, though not treating that as the cause of his problems.
On a lark, I tried downgrading to both firmware 2.0.2.1 and firmware 2.0.3.3, and to my surprise, I was able to achieve the full 300Mbps data rate with both firmware versions.
When I reverted back to 2.0.4.2, I was not able to achieve the full 300Mbps data rate.
So, right now, I downgraded to firmware 2.0.3.3 so I can get the higher data rate, though there are other quirks to deal with.
Furthermore, when I do a web search of reviews, I can see that the inability to achieve the 300Mbps data rate is a huge source of complaints.
    Cisco, please fix this firmware!
Edited to add: I found another post regarding the same phenomenon:
    WAP4410n LIMITED TO 130Mbs in N-mode

    Hi James,
When I bought the WAP4410N I was still using Vista and a beta of Windows 7 x64.  My PC was reporting 300Mbps but I never believed it and just figured this was better then the Linksys Wap54g with DD-WRT. I was only showing 54Mbps on my laptops but the amount of data I could download over a minute was better then the WAP4410N.  The best speed I can achieve (but only lasts a few minutes) is 130Mbps from the WAP4410N and downloads are painfully slow.  Using a desktop gadget "network meter" on one of my desktop PCs with a wireless N USB adapter it is showing a speed of 54Mbps and a signal strength of 70% at a distance of 4 feet from the WAP4410N.  At this distance I also experience interruptions in connection and poor performance.  I do not know if my WAP4410N is defective but a beta firmware is to be released this month that is supposed to help.  I have had to recommend other brands in this price range to those wishing to buy a stable product as this performance is not acceptable.  My network is mostly GigaLan devices and strangely the intelligent switch reports the WAP4410N as running at 100Mbps with the firmware set the 1000Mbps so there is another mystery.
    Best regards,
    Brad

  • Video (or Video + Audio) Data Rate

Wondered if anyone here might know of a software utility that has the ability to scan QuickTime compatible files and either display the video (or video + audio) data rate excursion or, as an alternative, graph the instantaneous variation in the data rate over time.

Apple +I (show info) in QT player will show you the framerate and bitrate while playing.
Thanks for your suggestion, Rick. However, I must point out that the data rate so displayed is simply the total average for the entire clip and not the instantaneous (i.e., constantly changing) variance with time. Preliminary observations tend to indicate the single pass H.264 algorithm begings roughly 10% under the requested data rate and quickly settles very near the target. The multipass algorithm, on the other hand, appears to begin in the vicinity of 300% above the targeed data rate and monotonically decreases throughout the remainder of the movie clip. So much for a quick qualitative analysis based on observations during the actualy encoding process.
What I now wish to do is actually perform a bit of quantitative analysis and, based on those results, correlate actual data rates with the ability of a given H.264 multipass file to sync to an iPod. Basically, I am trying to determine whether or not a user data rate input is used as a comparator during the initial phase of multipass H.264 coding and, if so, how it is implemented. (I.e., how are the delta values handled -- linearly, exponentially, etc.) In addition, I wish to compare QT v7.0.3 with v7.0.4 clips to determine why the latter are less iPod compatible. Too, there remains a question as to whether or not any data rate information is now embedded in the clips themselves since various work arounds tried (i.e., clipping file lengths) have proven unsuccessful.

  • Historical Reports on CCX 7.01sr5 with "mixed Mode" on db

    Hej.
In the release note from CCX 7.01sr5 is one of the changes the the database is supported with mixed mode on the security.
I have set that up, but when i try to run the Historical Reporting Tool, it says that Mixed mode on the DB is not supported.
Does anyone have a work around for this

  • Aironet 1140N in mixed mode not working with 802.11b/g Clients

I have a new Aironet 1140N Access point , the model is number AIR-AP1142N-A-K9, my main problem in that i have Nokia E71 smartphones on the network, but they cannot connect to the Network, the Access Point SSID is not showing on the List of Available Devices if i Scan using the Phone,
All Laptops are runing Win 7 Pro and they connect quite ok, The phones (8 of them) at HotSpots connects without problems, the Spec says they are compatible with 802.11b/g and the Aironet Access point provides 802.11a/g/n.
Since the phone has the 802.11g which is compatible with the Access Point, why cant it Pick it? the Access Point is Operating in Mixed Mode.
    Bonnie

There are basically two "flavors" of WDS that the AirPorts support: static & dynamic.
o A static WDS allows for a main, relay, and remote base stations in the configuration. This only operates in the 802.11g radio mode. Its advantage is it is well suited when you are trying to cover a considerable linear range ... like a rectangular house where the Internet connection comes in at one of the shorter sides and you want wireless at the other end. The biggest disadvantage of this type of WDS is that for every base station added, you lose half the overall bandwidth.
o A dynamic WDS allows for only a single main and multiple remotes. Think of a wheel with the main at the center and the remotes as spokes of the wheel. The advantage of this type of WDS is it operates in the 802.11n radio mode and doesn't suffer a significant bandwidth loss like the static version.
As a minimum, a dynamic WDS requires two 802.11n AirPorts (or Time Capsules). You can create a static WDS with either all 802.11g AirPorts or a mix of 802.11n & 802.11g AirPorts. Note; however, you cannot create a dynamic WDS with mixed mode base stations.

    Hi Friends,
When I try to Execute the Task for data collection in sa38.I am getting the Error with in 9 sec.
UPDATE MODE IS NO POSSIBLE WITH ORIGINAL LIST
    Message No. UCS0111
    Diagnosis :
If you select the indicator"original list"the current task status is ignored. In this case, the system simulates a task run in with all of the organisational units are not yet blocked. Thus, setting this indicator is meaningful and valid only if the task is executed in test mode at tthe same time.
procedure : select the original list & Test run together.
My problem is I can not select the Test run in production  server.
Can any one please help me to solve the Issue.

  • ThinkPad Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software Problem

    I'm having a weird issue. I use a X200t tablet with Windows 7 Profession 64-bit.
Apparently my current "ThinkPad Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software" is Version. 6.2.1.2900.
Thinkvantage System Update wants me to download and install Version 6.2.1.3100.
However, it tries and I get Error 1935 and it rolls back. Now when I start windows I get an alert about BTTray.exe not loading.
Of course I searched this problem, but it seems to be some ancient thing (years old) and I've never had a problem before with any of the Bluetooth updates.
I did notice that in past versions people said when they tried to uninstall the old version and install the new one, it just wiped their hard drive. I don't want to risk that so I thought I'd check here if anyone knew what was going on.
    Thanks!

  • Data domain with auto-idle mode doesn't wake up

    Hello,
I have a strange problem with my data domains. I have enabled auto-idle mode with a sleep time of 1 minute. After 1 minute my data domain goes to sleep but the strange thing is that it doesn't wake up when I run a graph. The data domain does start when I query the data domain in Studio.
Is there something that I have to configure in Integrator ETL?
    Thanks!
    Marco Snels

    Hi Marco,
Please see "How idling affects data domain behavior".
Specifically, the info I quote below:
The following statements describe which operations activate (or do not activate) an idle data domain:
Queries from the Conversation Web Service, Configuration Web Service, and Data Ingest Web Service activate an idle data domain and restart the timeout timer.
Queries from Administration and Configuration URL commands also activate and restart the Dgraph processes for the idle data domain (and restart the timer), with the exception ofhttp://<host>:<port>/endeca-server/admin/<data_domain>?op=ping, which does not activate an idle data domain.
Bulk load interaction. The process of loading data through the Bulk Ingest interface starts with theallocateBulkLoadPortoperation from the Manage Web Service, which activates an idle data domain. If a bulk ingest operation is issued and is in progress for the data domain that is set to auto-idle, it is possible that bulk load may take longer than the idling timeout. If the timeout expires while bulk data load is in progress, the Endeca Server refreshes the idling timeout and the data domain does not shut down, so that bulk load can complete successfully.
Theendeca-cmdcommands do not activate an idle data domain with the exception ofendeca-cmd allocate-bulk-load-port, which activates an idle data domain.
When you run a graph, does it issue a Data Ingest Request? If yes, it should get activated.
antoher option is to play with resetting an idle timeout to 10 minutes or more -- if any of the queries (ingest or regular search queries), are longer-running, having an idle timeout that is 10 minutes stabilizes the idling behavior.

  • Bridge Point to Point with AP 1552EU - Maximun Data Rate

Hi all, I have a question for you, and I need your help.!!!
I have two site (Central and Remote) and I did a link point to point between it. These AP are managed by a WLC 5508, the distance between this AP is 30 Mts or 98 feed, I have configured the channel width in 40Mhz in the WLC, and MCS-5 in the data rate sección of Bridge AP.  I did tests flooding the link and I only can transfer 40Mbps in both directions at the same time. This ap model is 802.11n capable. So how can I increase the data rate from 40Mbps to 100 o more Mbps.?
The antennas are directional with two ports (TX/RX) and are connected in the ports 1 and 3 of AP.
    I hope your response.
    Thanks,

Wow.  You're radios are only 100 feet apart and you have 14dBi directional panels hooked up to them?  Hopefully the TX power is configured properly and is turned *way* down.
You should certainly be able to get 802.11n HT rates between two 1550s with these antennas and 2 spatial streams.  You *should* be able to achieve HT MCS 15 at 40MHz with a PHY data rate of 300 Mbps.  Actual Layer 3 throughput would be approaching 100Mbps, but I think you are more likely to see ~80Mbps in actuality.
    Best of luck!

  • Data rate of AAC file converted with iTunes 7.5.0.20

I have just noticed data rate of files converted to AAC with iTunes revision 7.5.0.20 deviate slightly from preset converting data rate in random manner. For example browser shows files with preset 192kBit/s data rate as 193 or 195kBit/s data rate, ones with 320kBit/s preset as 321, 322, 325kBit/s etc.
Is this a encoder bug or a music content dependent data rate adjustment?
