War incompabilities with SOA 7 Platform edition?

Hi,
I am beggining to try Sun One App server 7 Platform edition.
I developed a small web application to try database connections with pool and without pool. So I created the application in Netbeans to connect to an AS400 and worked OK with Tomcat.
Also I installed Eclipse 2.12 and Resin and also everything went OK.
When I get to SOA7, I created the connection pool, then the jdbc resources and finally the web app which I imported as a WAR file.
But it seems that the server need some files in the /j2ee-modules/appname directory and others in docroot/appname.
I thought that the server admin takes care of everything and the app will be correctly deployed as any j2ee server I tried.
Can you help me? Thanks
BTW I included at the end of the message, the error appeared in the console.
Thanks you so much,
Lorenzo Jimnez

I tried 3 ways:
Generating from Netbeans 3.5, then Netbean 3.6 Beta and finally Eclipse.
SOA7 receives the war file but when executing it dont find the files.

  • Deploying adf application on weblogic server with soa patch

    Hi ,
Web logic version : 10.3.6. With SOA server installaed on it.
There is one admin node and two managed nodes.
    Jdeveloper version 11.1.6.0.
I developed a war file and deployed it on the server but the application is not up in the server. so as suggested by certain blogs , I constructed an EAR and deployed.
But the issue is that :
    1. I can able to deploy only on admin node .
    2. When I tried to deploy it on the all nodes it is showing the below error.

  • Application Server Platform Edition 8.1 2005Q2 fails to start - CLI156

I have installed and re-installed PE8.1 on my laptop many times (with security off). I followed Quickstart and after 60 seconds end up with CLI156. I have upgraded from XP Home Edition to XP Professional. I have been going round and round for the last 4 days. I have searched for CLI156 and have tried many options. Any pointers (if not memory references) would be appreciated.

    Hello,
Did you download the window version?
    Download it from
    https://sdlc4e.sun.com/ECom/EComActionServlet;jsessionid=127ACE07200555497A21DDC654885146
And don't worry, it's the correct version. Also could you check on your PC,
    Start\Programs\ Sun Microsystems\ Application Server PE 9.
Also which operative system are you using?

  • Impossible to program a Kintex-7 with Vivado Lab Edition 2015.[1,2]

    Hello,
I'm trying to program a Kintex-7 160T with a Platform USB Cable and Vivado Lab Edition 2015.1 and 2015.2. The JTAG chain is shown on the screenshot below:
It is possible to program very small bitstream (~600KiB). But when the bitstreams become bigger, the configuration fails.
Configuring the same FPGA on the same board with Impact 14.2 is working.
How can I configure the FPGA with Vivado Lab Edition?
    Olivier

For the following tests, I'm using two bitstream files:
    logic.bit:
Very basic design which sets pins to some values. The file is compressed and its size is 676,383 bytes
ISE 14.2 has been used to generate it.
    logic_vivado.bit:
    It's our design.
    Its size is 6,692,674 bytes
Vivado 2014.4 has been used to generate it.
I'm using two computers for these tests:
    A Windows7 computer with iMPACT 14.2
A Windows8 computer with Vivado Lab Edition 2015.1
The same board and the same Platform USB Cable (DLC9) were used.
For each tool, I'm configuring the "logic.bit" bitstream and then the "logic_vivado.bit" bistream.
Here is the log of iMPACT 14.2:

  • Installation of Solaris 8 (x86 Platform Edition

    Hi guys,
I have downloaded the Solaris 8 for intel version and burnt them into CDs. (3 CDs). I tried to download the Solaris (x86 Platform Edition) Device Configuration Assistant Boot Diskette, but instead of downloading, it opens in another Internet explorer window. I tried pressing shift while downloading, that doesn't work. And also I tried to boot using the Solaris installation CD for installing, it says cannot boot from CDROM. Please help me. How can I proceed with installation?
    With regards,
    Amin

Well I had undergone the same problem, what I did was then use Netscape Enterprise Browser, and there is worked just fine, and was able to save the file onto my pc, without it being opening in an another window, so if possible use Netscape Browser and try and see what happens. Hope this helps you.

  • User Role problems in Sun Java Application Server Platform Edition 8

I am having two problems setting up user roles in Sun Java Application Server Platform Edition 8. At first, I thought that it was a problem with the higher level features that I was using, so I created a very simple example using the simplest authentication I can use, but the problem still occurs. I am using the file realm and configuring the users in the App Server Admin Console. I create 2 users in different roles. One user should have access, the other should not.
    1) The first problem is that both users can access the page
    2) The second problem is that the isUserInRole() method returns false for both users with the role that it should be authenticating against.
Here is a sample of my code:
    Users Configured in Console:
    username password roles
    user1 ********** admin
    user2 ********** noaccess

    Hi Jeanfrancois,
Your suggestion has lead me to find my problem. There were actually three problems.
    1) First, you suggestion to reorder my xml file did not cause any errors to occur. I got suspicious that my web.xml file was wrong. I looked at some sample web-xml files and found that I was missing the header as follows:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE web-app PUBLIC '-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Web Application 2.3//EN' 'http://java.sun.com/dtd/web-app_2_3.dtd'>
    2) When I added this information, the deploy feature failed stating the my web.xml file was out of order. I fixed the ordering. It now deployed, but the security still wasn't working.
    3) I then added the sun-web.xml file. This file was missing before hand as I thought it was unnessary. However, this file added the essential mapping from a role to a group. After adding this, it now started to work.
Thanks so much for you time and effort. You really did help me.

  • Problem with S60 2nd Edition FP2 and mobility pack

When i run the sample game from mobility pack with the S60 2nd Edition FP2 the bottom part of the phone display seems to freeze and wont refresh. I have that problem with the emulator and with a real phone (6630). Does anyone experienced the same problem? I tried with other platform SDK and it runs ok. There's a screenshot of what happens.....
    http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/9373/s602ndfp2le5.png

And I must add something else, I can't format the memory card, I have some important applications installed on the memory card... and I don't know how I can move them to phone's memory, a new memory card or take backup...
I appreciate if someone help me with both problems.

  • Platform Edition very slow on Mac OS X (Tiger)

I'm trying to run Adventure Builder from Blue Prints using App Svr 8.1 from the NetBeans 4.1 install bundle, which includes
Sun Java System Application Server Platform
    Edition 8.1 2005Q2 UR2.
First the Adventure Builder setup script took hours to run (the creation of the JMS queues took several minutes each). Now the deployment of an app times out after the default 120 seconds.
This is on a PowerBook G4 running Mac OS X version 10.4.2, with a 1.5 GHz processor and 2Gb of RAM.
Both the app server and the Adventure Builder app are using JDK
    5.
Does anyone have tips on tuning the app server to run on Mac OS X?

I've experienced this on both Windows and Mac, if I'm on a VPN connection. If this is the case for you, you might want to try disconnecting from your VPN while running the setup and the deploys.

  • JCA adapter Integration with SOA suite

    Hi all,
Where can I find documentation or reference regarding integration of third party adapter with SOA suite?
There is an option of Third Party Adapter in SOA project of JDeveloper. When I drag it onto the composite.xml file, a window comes up asking for wsdl, jca files, etc. So I would like to know if there is any example or tutorial on how to integrate a third party adapter with SOA suite. Thanks.
    Regards,
    K.Hein

    Thanks Anuj!
It seems like a new way of integrating JCA adapter to SOA suite.
Actually, I was only aware of integrating as a third party adapter as mentioned in this article (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/articles/luttikhuizen-adapters-091679.html) which require wsdl and jca files.
Are there any difference between those two approaches? Which would be the recommended approach for JCA adapter integration with SOA? Thanks again for your informative replies.

  • Platform Edition License

    Hello,
I just downloaded and installed the Sun ONE Application Server 7 Platform Edition. When I installed it I was prompted for a license number. I skipped that question and continued installing. Since the Platform Edition is free, will I have a problem with an expired license key?
    Thanks
    Mike

You won't have any issues with license expiration - permanent PE license is built-in by default. Reason for license key prompt is that SE release is delivered as the same distribution, but SE features get activated only if you have and enter license key number.

  • JDeveloper with SOA Extension

    Hi
I am not sure if this is the appropiate forum for this question or not but its the only forum related to JDeveloper.
I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.5.0 with the soa extension pack installed. When I access the Expression Builder from an assign activity, it takes at least a minute
for the expression part of the windows to return and become editable. This is true regardless of whether it is a new expression I am creating or editing an
    existing expression.
JDeveloper is installed on windows 7 64-bit edition and is configured to use 64-bit Java. Below are the options that are turned on from ide.conf
    AddVMOption -Xmx4000M
    AddVMOption -Xms1024M
    AddVMOption -Xverify:none
and below are the options for jdev.conf
    AddVMOption -XX:MaxPermSize=768M
    AddVMOption -Xbootclasspath/p:../lib/lwawt.jar
    AddVMOption -Dsun.awt.keepWorkingSetOnMinimize=true

    AddVMOption -Doracle.jdeveloper.webservice.hidePropertyOverride=false

  • How can I get my e-mail address associated with Adobe Digital Editions?

How can I get my e-mail address associated with Adobe Digital Editions?

    gjortega,
Your sidekick may be relaying through a different server. If its on AT&T, it could be using cwmx.com for outgoing. However, cwmx.com only works for AT&T/Cingular EDGE customers. When on Wi-fi it won't allow you to send through it.
Many internet providers, but not all, provide an authenticating SMTP server to use when travelling. If you configured your outgoing server to use the email providers authenticating SMTP server information on a port different from port 25, you will be able to use it on most networks. Some wireless networks filter a wider range of ports, such as some work places.
This article discusses the issue in more detail:
