Warcraft III Reign of Chaos/Frozen Throne Port Help?

I have a Wireless-G Broadband Router Model WRT54G and I want to host games in Warcraft III while still having my router connected. I do not know how to find my port number. Can someone help find it?Message Edited by Melty on 01-16-200704:37 PM

Hi...
The port number for Warcraft III is 6112. In order to forward the port 6112, make sure that the computer that u are hosting on has a static IP address. Also make sure that all the firewalls on your computer allow traffic from port 6112 to be allowed.

I just installed warcraft 3, and whenever I start it, the screen turns black like its starting up but then it crashs instantly and asks if I want to send an error report? Whats going on? How do I fix this?

It is really up to you if you want to pay another $100 for windows if you feel more comfortable with it, but I never see any windows xp sells for $100 unless it is an upgrade version or oem version, which is not recommended nor might work for boot camp.
Do visit widows xp forum as well if you still having trouble with it.
    Good Luck.

  • You can't open the application "Warcraft III (OS X)" because PowerPC applications are no longer supported.

Have recently purchased the Warcraft III Reign of Chaos Battle Chest though ahave been unable to install this on my Mac Mini.  I get the following error message when attempting to run the executable from the DVD:
"You can’t open the application “Warcraft III (OS X)” because PowerPC applications are no longer supported."
I am running what I believe to be the latest Mac OS 10.9.1.  Please can anyone point me in the right direction for how to successfully install and run these games?
    Many thanks in advance,

Get older hardware that can run 10.6 or lower and the software will run.
What was the original version of OS X that shipped with your iMac?

  • Warcraft III, The Frozen Throne - can't install it on 10.5?

+Hi - I am posting this question again since the other thread was marked as "answered".+
    here we go:
I am having problems with *Warcraft III, The Frozen Throne* and I do not really understand what you did to get it to work.
Reign Of Chaos works fine, also on Battle Net, but I can't install the add-on The Frozen Throne: the installer loading time is awfull long, and when it finally loads (after 2 or 3 minutes), when I click on the install-button, it tells me to insert the Warcraft III CD. I know that the CD I have is fine (installed it on other machine).
*How do I get it to work with Leopard 10.5*?
    Th x for your help.

I had the same problem, I fixed this by creating a mountable .cdr file using "burn" mounted it and installed if from the image file, after that whenever you want to play just mount the .cdr file and play non need to insert the cd anymore.
    burn = http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/30120
hope that works for you, let me know
    cheers

  • [x86_64] Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne annoying resolution bug

    Hi people
I just reinstalled my Arch, was i686 and is now x86_64.
Before the change, I had War3 Frozen Throne installed via Playonlinux and everything worked fine.
But since the reinstall, I have this strange bug: when I launch the game and am in the menu, if I move my cursor to the right, the screen begins moving to the left as soon as it is near the menu, as if the resolution wasn't the one I see.
    I tried:
    - several resolutions, but nothing changes.
    - opengl option in the launcher, and the resolution is larger than the screen, so I understand why it moves to the left when I move my cursor further than the screen border. And if I choose a smaller resolution, it's as if it zommed in o_O
    - uninstall/reinstall of the game, last game patch or the install version (which is the download version from my battle.net account)
Does anyone have an idea about what is going on ?

hmm sounds like you have got the same issue like me:
    http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=68768
i think the lib32 libs are broken, but thats my oppinion. i posted also in the german forums, but there is no solution for it yet. with gentoo 64bit, same configuration, i do not have this problem (so i am using gentoo now).
    please try the following:
install a 32bit chroot, xorg + wine inside the chroot and run warcraft inside the chroot.
are you using nvidia-drivers? which card do you have?

  • Warcraft III Help needed really badly!!!

I'm sorry for being such a beginner at all this but I'm having soooooooo much trouble getting Warcraft III Frozen Throne to work. I am unable to connect to battle.net and I think it has to do with something about my ports and how I am unable to forward my ports? Can someone please please please go through a thorough explanation of how this works on my Linksys BEFW11S4? Sorry for being trouble. Thank you very much!

    You need to to this:
    1. Check what port is needed to be forwarded. I think on that game it is 6112 but not sure.
    2. Check the IP address of the host computer you are using.
    3. Go to www.linksys.com/kb and search for the exact phrase: Port Forwarding, it will tell you what to do next.

  • I have Warcraft III keys, but no original CD

Hi, I have the original CD keys to play in battle.net, but I have had an accident and The Frozen Throne original CD is broken.
Is there any way to play Warcraft III in arch without the original CD, only with a backup, and not using a NOCD crack? In windows I have a TFT miniiso that works, but it has a B5T extension, not ISO so mount -o loop don't mount it. Is there any way to mount that image file?
    Greetings.

doesnt seem to be any support for B5T files under linux. That's what you get for using a proprietary format...
Otherwise, you can use a no-cd crack to play tft. something along this lines worked for me. use the no-cd to start war3, then move the original exe back before you go into battle.net. To automate this, use a script kinda like:
    wine war3.exe &> /dev/null &
    pid=$!
    sleep 10
    mv war3.exe war3.cracked
    mv war3.orig war3.exe
    wait $pid
    mv war3.exe war3.orig
    mv war3.cracked war3.exe
Note i'm not advocating piracy in any way, battle.net still requires a valid CD key to play. But for those who have lost the cd or cannot use it for some reason, or just can't be bothered, the above works... or at least it did when i played war3.

  • Warcraft III installation

I just wanted to put this up here in case anyone else experiences the same problems and wonders why there's no reference to them on the internet.
I just installed Warcraft III onto my MacBook Pro (2.16Ghz, 2GB DDR2 SDRAM, OSX 10.4.6,) and it took 3 HOURS! Has this happened to anyone else? It got to the 'Preparing to Install' stage, then did nothing for 3 hours, then suddenly announced that it was installed. The same thing then happened with the Frozen Throne expansion CD. I tried it on my wife's iBook G4 and it took about a few minutes. The CD is clean, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with my computer. I wasn't running any other programs during the installation, I switched off power saver and screen saver, and tried using a disc alias, but this didn't help. The game works fine now it's installed. Very very weird. I have Diablo II in the post, and wonder if I'll be going through the same routine next week.

You can install it just fine on the Intel iMac. It isn't a native Intel iMac application (a universal binary) but it runs just fine. I have been playing it for a month or so now, and haven't noticed any real problems.

  • Can't Vid Chat, can't host games in warcraft III

    Hey Guys,
I thought this was going to be simply remedied with port forwarding. When I attempt to start a video or audio chat with anyone the connection fails.
I can't host games in warcraft III either. I just sit there waiting for people to join and they can't.
    Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for help!
    Some Infos:
    -newest version of Wine
    -Nvidia fx5500 with nvidia-173xx
It worked perfectly on all ubuntus (I tested 9.04 to 10.10)

Ubuntu's universe repository for their latest release contains wine 1.2, but Arch's currently has 1.3.6.  Maybe the newer version introduced a regression that affects Warcraft III. Have you tried patching the game to its latest version? Check the wine appdb page for Warcraft III and see if there's anything else that can help. You might also try to install wine 1.2.1—there is at least one PKGBUILD for it  in the AUR.
I own a copy of the game, but it currently sits in storage elsewhere; if I can grab it, maybe I'll try to install it too.

  • Problems about the Macbook air with Lion 10.7.2 running Warcraft III

    Hello
I have bought the newest Macbook air with 128G SSD recently. The system is Lion 10.7.2
I am wondering why when I entered the Warcraft III game, the buttons and mouse are all black, I can not play the game.
The newest macbook air is using Intel HD Graphic 3000 as the display card
Is it possible that the driver on Lion for this display card not compatible with Warcraft III?
How can I solve this problem?
    Thank you

    Lol, you are both wrong.
First, yes, the buttons in the main menus are black. This is ****. Wrote that in a Blizzad forum already.
But: The game is fully playable once you start a game.
Second: This has nothing to do with PPC. WC3 is Universal! (How would he have known that the buttons are black if he couldn't even open the WC3 app!?!)
But one thing concerning Universal Binary has to be done by Blizzard: Make the Installers Universal too.Curently, there is no way to install WC3 in Lion.
