Warm iphone button doesn't work?

Today I was using Navigon for a large portion of the day, and the iphone was charging as well. The phone was quite warm. I noticed that the button didn't work well. I actually had to reset the phone several times. Now that I'm home and the phone has cooled, it works better. Is this a known problem?

Yes, I have checked the mute button. I have toggled between the up and down buttons, to no avail. Looks like I need to go to the Apple store -ugh! Thanks

The warranty is not and has never been International. Warranty and support are only valid in the country of origin. The only exception is for devices sold in the EU where the EU is treated as one country for warranty and support purposes.

wait it for your iPhone to die then before it turns it plug it into iTunes while holding the home button and it will force it into recovery mode.
will be hard to get the timing right cause u will need to wait for the battery to die and charge up again. Other then that just take it to apple and have them replace the device for a fee.

I bought this iphone 3gs off an app. I just want to use it as an ipod. it is sim locked (with two attempts left) and the lock button doesn't work at all. What can I do? I just want to use it as an ipod.

My guess - and this is completely a guess - is that the SIM in that phone has a PIN that was added to it by the previous owner. Whomever you bought it from didn't bother to check for this (or didn't care) before they got it from the previous owner.
You need to get a new AT&T SIM for that phone - you could even borrow one from a friend if they have one that will fit the phone. You would only need the SIM to activate it.
There is no way to activate an iPhone without a SIM in it, even if you don't plan to use it as anything other than an iPod.

If it never worked after the screen replacement then it would appear that you have a hardware problem either caused by the repair or the problem that lead to the screen replacement.

Probably nothing, the phone has a high likelihood of being stolen and if you try to Restore it you will run into Activation Lock. Turn it in to the local authorities.

I can't restart it because my home button doesn't work and i have to use assistive touch. It won't show up on itunes when i tried to plug it in. If the screen and iPod does not show any life then letting the batter drain will not do anything.
If you tried another cable and tried ReBoot on another computer and still problem then your iPod has to be repaired/replaced

If it's within the first year's warranty or within the extended applecare warranty period it will be repaired free of charge provided the fault does not contravene the conditions of the warranty.
If it's out of warranty you can pay for an out-of-warranty repair.
Either way you should take it to either your service provider or your nearest apple store.

Well, that is going to make it difficult, since the first two steps of user troubleshooting require the use of the power button. I suggest you get that fixed.
