Warn when deleting text anchors

I use hyperlink destinations to create cross references. However it happens, that I accidentally delete the created text anchors. Is it somehow possible to show a warning or something like that, when a text anchor is being deleted? Scripts would also be an option, if it's possible that way.

Sure, just use a preflight profile that checks for unresolved
cross-references.
That way, whenever you accidentally delete a hyperlink destination, the
little preflight button will turn red.

Warning when deleting flickr account

I want to cease use of Aperture 3's flickr integration.
Currently running Aperture 3.1.2.
I have already disabled Aperture on the flickr web site.
When I go to delete the account from Aperture->Preferences/Web, I get a warning:
Are you sure you want to remove "<flickr account name>" Flickr account? 83 albums will be removed from
"<Aperture Library Name>". They will still be available on Flickr. Items downloaded from Flickr that have not been imported will be moved to the Aperture trash unless you choose to import them"
I just would like to confirm this won't touch my "real" aperture library images per se, just delete the "Flickr" "albums" or whatever you would call them: the items at the bottom of the Library list under the "Flickr - ..." heading where each set has the little flickr icon (blue+pink circle).

Thanks Bob ... you were right.
One trick: I had to start deleting from the bottom of the list, otherwise it would stall with an error after deleting the first flickr album in the list due to apparently automatically selecting another album in the list (didn't do that when I selected and then deleted the BOTTOM flickr album in the list).

No warning when deleting a Master image that is linked to Virtual Copies?!

Scenario: I am trying to clear out old images to free up storage space, so I go back though thousands of images looking for weak . unrequired shots.
Problem; when dealing with "mass deletions" it is near impossible to detect which images are "Master copies" from which I have any number of Virtual Copies. And when you hit delete you might well be ruining Virtual Copies without knowing it.
Surely there is a way to warn you that pics, X, Y & Z are linked to Xcopy1, YCopy1 & Zcopy1 etc, and give you an IMAGE SPECIFIC option to see those copies and make a choice of delete the master or not? I can't beleive Adobe think its user-freindly to have people trawl through each image to check before a deletion?
I know others have expressed similar concerns, and it seems a REALLY glaring omission in an otherwise decent ptoduct.
Comments from Adobe staff more than welcome.

your responce to the observation from the above forum member is a little inelegant and harsh. It is a very good way of telling you where there are VC's of images, but as you said, your methods are your own. Doing things your way and then asking for help and then biting like that is, well up to you how you reply to those offering help and positive suggestions

Strange behavior when deleting text in an email.

When composing emails I have noticed that if I make a mistake and delete some text it behaves strangely. This only happens if the text deleted is at the end of the message. On deleting the text I am then left with a small highlighted area (like when you have used your cursor to select an area). If I then try to continue typing it types a few letters and then stops and the new letters typed just go over and over in the same cursor spot. This is difficult to describe so i hope I have made sense but it is extremely frustrating and I was wondering if anyone else was having the same problem of if it is a known bug??? If anyone knows, please could they let me know :-)

1) I just trashed the Preferences

2) then reboot. It is still misbehaving in texts in Apple Mail. For example i select a whole paragraph but only some words are highlighted. Here is a sample

IPhone 5 (iOS7) Messaging Locks Up When Deleting Texts

When I delete any texts, it basically debilitates texting for a very long period of time. I can't send or receive texts until the phone has completed the deletion. And this occurs whether I'm deleting one text or an entire thread. If I shut the phone off and turn it back on, the thread or texts I was attempting to delete are still there. Anyone else having this issue?

Having the same problem with the forward facing camera. iPhone 5 all software up todate. I can switch to the screen side camera some times and once there it works. I have tried hard resets, turning off location services, going to airplane mode, turning off all notifications for the camera. And nothing has worked. It has been 5 days and several restarts. Block or warn when delete a delivery that has confirmed transfer order

Our system allows user to delete a delivery with confirmed transfer order (not for open TO though). This creates lots material in the status of wating PGI. Is there any method to block or at least warn the user from deleting a delivery with confirmed TO?

The no_commit would stop delivery being deleted. Since the internal tables and structure have been cleared up/changed before this user exit, when back to VL02N, the line items and some other info disappear. Is there any way I can roll back the data in those internal tables or structures, or simply exit out and back to the selection screen?

How do I set up InDesign cross-document Text Anchor Hyperlinks so that when the files are moved, they remain active?

I’m combining several InDesign files into one PDF, with several hundred text links across the different sections, as well as within each. The cross-document (section) Text Anchor Hyperlinks work fine in my workspace - but when I change the file location, they are no longer active (other links, bookmarks remain intact).

They seem to be a lot of extra work, and I don't see what the additional benefit is. I have several hundred links to do. I would appreciate learning what the benefit is, as I don't mind the extra effort if it will deliver the desired results.

Warning when calling function using page text

I have a function in package which generates some parameters for a link I want to put on bottom of the View Form.
The HTML I put in the bottom of View Form user text field looks like this:

The problem is that Desinger throws a warning when I try to generate and the auto-install option gets ignored due to this error...
Can I set Designer to ignore this "parse error", so that the auto-install works again?

Why, when entering text, I lose focus frequently and get the warning sound

When writing text, (here, in blogs or any text editors), the object frequently loses its focus and I get the warning sound as I enter text in an area that does not accept this type of input.
As I write this, the bars at the top of the page frequently changes from gray to white, and as I try to write the next letter I get awarning sound; to continue entering text, I need to click on the Multi-Touch trackpad to regain focus. I am able to enter only a few characters before I get the warning sound again.
any suggestions?

Problem resolved by a genius at the local Apple Store.
The problem was caused by static electricity interacting with the track pad. He placed some srips behind the pad and problem resolved.

When I got my iphone4 I imported data from my pc. Now, when I text people get my old company name. I deleted my contact entry and reenteredthe correct information. It still sends my old company name. Is there another place that needs to be correted?

You restore from a backup that was created after the text was received but before it was deleted.
But if you literally deleted it right after it came in, then it's not recoverable. Have the other person resend the text.

I use a Mac and have no trouble editing or deleting text I have typed into a Facebook post.
If you create a post, you can click in the upper right-hand corner of the post. You will see an inverted caret (an upside down ^). Clicking that will give you options to delete or edit your post.
If you have replied to a post, you will see a small pencil in the upper right-hand corner of your reply. Clicking that will give you options to delete or edit your reply.
