  • 'Calculating result as...' was not executed ???

    Hi,
can anyone explain me the warning message that i received.
I have a query, and in its definition, three characteristcs are added to the "rows" (Region, District, StoreId) and the option "Display as hierarchy" is selected, expanding to "Region". Region has 4 values (north, south, east, west) So when query is run, it displays 4 nodes.
When i execute the query, this warning message shows up "<b>'Calculating result as...' was not executed</b> ". It calculates the results correctly for the first three nodes and fails to calculate it for the last node. The result displayed for the last node is wrong.
Could you please share your comments on this.
    Thanks
    Gova
    This is the detailed message.
    <b>Diagnosis</b>
The function 'Calcualte Results As ...' could not be applied everywhere.
The recalculation of a result cell always takes place based on the amount of detail cells that are subordinate to this cell, that is the detail of this drilldown. For this reason it is not possible to recalculate results in hierarchical lists, that is calculate of a results cell is not performed if a row or column with expansion symbol is subordinate to it. This is because otherwise this newly calculated results would have to change every time a node subordinate to it was expanded. This is not supported for technical reasons and would also confuse the user.
Note however, that calculate as "Suppress Results" is always executed
because the above exception does not apply in this case.
Any answers please. I am known to be generous in assigning points

Did you ever receive any further information on this topic?  I am receiving the exact error you received and I know this was possible in BW 3.2.  My customers have been using this report now for months.  I would like to know how to activate this same reporting in BW 3.5
    Thanks so much!

  • Payment Wizard was not executed   [Message 3657-5]

    Using SAP 8.82 PL6.
I am trying to do a Payment Wizard for a company but when I run my wizard for all vendors or even for only 1 vendor, it fails with error message in subject line.
I already followed all steps of SAP Note 725786 - Definitions necessary for the payment wizard, so please don't send me that again or the related thread.
The only difference is that when the A/P invoice and A/P credit memos were created for say the single vendor ABC, the PeyMethod field was blank and before the payment run, these fields were populated with 'Outgoing check' payment method. Then the payment wizard was run, every step was okay except last step gave the error in subject line.
In Step 8 of 8 if I click non-included transactions, I get the message "In "Posting Date" field, enter posting date that is equal to or earlier than system date (Line 1)" but this message does not appear in the step 6 of 8 when I click non-included transactions in that step!!!
My posting date in invoice and credit memo is Mar 31, 2014, and system date is Apr 12, 2014.
I am able to create individual vendor Outgoing Payment transactions manually but not through the wizard. There are 300 vendors so I would like the wizard to work.
    > The House bank is properly defined in setup as well in the vendor.
    > The Vendor Payment Run tab was populated after the invoice and credit memos were created
    > The Payment Method fields in invoice and credit memos were populated after these transactions were crested since they were blank
    > The Business Partner Bank in 'Payment Terms' tab was blank since it is not an EFT/ACH transaction. These fields were also filled with a dummy bank but got the same error.
    > Again, I am able to create a manual Outgoing transaction for each vendor one-by-one but the Wizard gives above errors.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Ajay Audich

    Hi,
I was able to run the Payment Wizard. It was a simple fix really.
In Administration > System Initialization > Document Settings > General Tab > the box "Allow Future Posting Date" was unchecked > After checking it off, the Payment Wizard worked fine without the above error.
The manual Outgoing Payment that worked, after checking now, had a posting date defaulted to Apr 12, 2014 hence it worked manually but failed in the wizard!
Hope this helps someone else with a similar problem in future.
    Cheers,
    Ajay

  • Warning message "Calculating result as"

    Hi,
When i execute the query i get a warning message as
"Warning 'Calculating result as .....'was not executed.
I am worried that something did not caluclate or the results are incorrect.
Could any one of you tell me what is causing this error to occur and the nature of the way.I will assign points.
    Thanks,
    Subha

    Hi subhashini,
"Calculate result as " is something which you find in the "Calculations" tab of the corresponding selection or formula in the query designer. What it usually does is perform Calculations on the displayed result set like count, average and many other aggregate calculations. Check what calculation is defined for the selections in that query and see if you can remove that warning..

  • QBE style(Find-Execute) Query not executing when VO has bind parameter

I have an Entity Based ViewObject that is composed of 3 Entities so the entities are related through an Assoc. Then the ViewObject also has a bind paremeter defined and used in the WHERE clause.
In my page everything is fine until when I use/click on the Find operation on the JSF page. When the Find operation is executed the page/form goes blank so I can enter by QBE query. Now when I Execute my search by executing the ExecuteWith params operation. Nothing is happening to the screen, it seems that query was not executed. Although there was no errors or exceptions displayed.
However if I remove the bind parameter, and execute the Execute operation instead after going to Find mode, the query is executed properly and I get expected results.
My problem is a bit general, but are there anyone who had a similar problem like this? Im still in the process of creating a test case.
    regards,
    Anton

    Hi Frank,
But the "ExecuteWithParams" operation provides the bind variable right? (i had the value hardcoded on the pagedef). So it must have supplied a value. I also noticed that this is happening only when if the VIewObject contains two or more Entities. If the Viewobject has only 1 entity, the ViewObject queries properly.
Anyway Frank, I had found a fix for this. I set an InvokeAction on the pagedef that binds to the ExecuteWithParams that is invoked during page load only(!postback condition). and then I just use the Find-Execute operations instead of the Find-ExecuteWithParams operations that I used previously.
I will try to replicate the issue again to investigate what's really going on. I just want to know if its a bug or just an expected behavior or i just made a mistake.
    regards,
    Anton

  • Cfexecute not executing

I have read many threads on this, tried all recommended
    solutions, still a 'no go'.
On windows server 2003, using cfexecute trying to run a .exe
(which runs nicley from command prompt,
same login) as a user with admin perms. CF throws no errors,
just sits as a running process but does not run the .exe.
However, I can execute a .bat file that does basic "dir"
directory listing and other commands. But critical I get the
    .exe running.
    What gives ? Help !

While reading through people's various experiences with
CFEXECUTE not performing as expected in this thread and others, I
noted someone indicated that in his trials he could get .bat files
to execute but not .exe files. We have had a working CF application
for years using CFEXECUTE with a Windows utility (fc.exe) to
compare files and capture the output in the CFEXECUTE VARIABLE
attribute. Very recently, I tried using CFEXECUTE with a .exe file
compiled by one of our faculty (written in C++) to process some
student-submitted data on our physical server, and it initially
appeared to me that CFEXECUTE simply was not executing.
During one of my tests and recalling the information stated
above, I encompassed (out of desperation more than anything else)
my executable within a command file (see code immediately
    following).
    Contents of wine.cmd:
    wine.exe
I then executed the above command file from within my
CFEXECUTE tag and was startled to see on the subsequent Web page
    the following response:
    C:\Program Files\CFServer\runtime\bin>wine.exe
Our entire Web server root and all our Web server documents
including the relevant CF application are stored on a different--D
    I F F E R E N T--logical drive so why in heaven is CF trying to run
wine.exe on the C: drive? I still have no idea, but suspect some
bug within the CF server itself since some .exe files execute
completely as expected while other .exe files result in the odd
    behavior just described.
My solution was to alter my command file so that wine.exe
executed from the local directory (local to my Web application).
    See adjusted command file below.
    Adjusted contents of wine.cmd:
    D:
    cd \WebRoot\depts\mss\EA\FWR\
    wine.exe
Now by executing the adjusted wine.cmd file within CFEXECUTE,
everything works as expected. I will post this response to at least
one other thread on this topic.

  • Oracle ADF refresh as deferred does not execute query on page load

In the oracle ADF page I have two panel boxes. (Oracle ADF 11.1.1.4)
    a) Personal information panel box with PanelFormLayout (PersonalInfoViewObj) - ReadOnly View Object
    b) Address information panel box with Table (AddressInfoViewObj) - Read Only View Object
For the iterators in a) and b) I have kept refresh condition as deferred and cacheResult=false. Also in b) for af:table, I have kept contentDelivery="immediate"
When page loads it fires SQL query for a) and populate the data in Personal information panel box. However for b) it does not execute the SQL query and the data is not getting populated ( in AddressInformation panel with the tables. Please note data is there in the DATABASE......)
Becasue with the refresh as deferred it was not executing the sql query for Panel b) (panel with Table and table iterator). I have tried refresh as always and refresh ifNeeded/renderModel/prepareModel however in that case it is executing the SQL query two times (twice).
Please let me know the best way to fix this issue.

    Hi,
I think you need a method in an application module to init your data.
In your AM : create a method like :
    public void init(){
    getViewObject().executeQuery();
}In your adfc-config.xml create a methodCall from this method and a "control flow case" from the methodCall to your page.
and keep refresh as "deferred " in your pageDef.

  • Designer 9i - nested DDL structure not executable for XML

To support an XML data transfer, we need to define types, collections, and tables. When we define a table that references types and collections, we do not get adequate DDL from Designer 9i that identifies all of the nested structures, and the DDL that is generated is not executable. We can manually type the DDL and specify the appropriate nesting. We have done that, executed that successfully. We have then reverse engineered this table into Designer 9i, and requested DDL from it. The resulting DDL is not executable. Has anyone run into this problem?

Designer 9i does not support these complex datatypes, hence your errors.
    Regards
    Sue

    Thank you for the e-mail.
Response table are for my use not customer or fillers can see.
There is always the need on the part of the filler that they would like to

  • I'm getting an error message: The app "Pages" was not installed on the iPhone "Mom's iPhone" because you are not authorized for it on this computer

Everytime I sync my iPhone it gives me the warning:  The app "Pages" was not installed on the iPhone "Mom's iPhone" because you are not authorized for it on this computer.
Pages was installed when I initially purchased it for my iPhone, but when I got the 4S recently I got the above message.  I tried deauthorizing and then reauthorizing, but it didn't help.  The Install/Will Install option is there, but gets me the same message.  (And I did hit the Apply button)

Agh! I figured out I had two apple id's and was able to install Pages from that account.  Dumb! :/

  • JAR executable not executing

This isn't a question, it is just a brief description of a problem I had and the solution since this bugged me for a bit.
I was running my application on netBeans and it was working wonderfully etc...netBeans also will create an executable JAR for you when you build your app. However this JAR was not executing I was getting a null pointer exception where I was loading one of my images.
The problem was a basic one...case sensitivity. My filename was .png instead of .PNG.
The interesting thing is netBeans didn't care about this as it runs the app from the build directory and not the JAR it creates. So all along I never thought my file names were wrong. But apparently JAR files care about the case I guess because of running on different platforms like linux who care about case.
So make sure your case is right even if your IDE is compiling your code.
    Just a heads up.

    see this link
    http://neptune.netcomp.monash.edu.au/JavaHelp/howto/jar.htm
for ex - usuppose ur project located in D:/ dir like this pakage structure
    test
    ----src
    --- one.java
    --- two.java
if u want to create jar file for this package u have to give command prompt like this
d:\test\src>jar cf filename.jar *.java - this jar file contains only java files

  • Enabling Warning for Application that is not compatible with Ipod Touch

Sorry if this has been asked before. Searching for prior posts about it, I ended up with pages of Compatibility Mode Posts.
Not thinking, when iTunes asked me if I wanted to disable the warning when an application was not compatible with my Ipod Touch, I said Yes. Searching through all the settings,Preferences and properties (or even in Regedit), I see no way to re-enable this option. Kinda nice to have the warning so I know it did not install, and would like to get it back. About the only thing I saw remotely close was the option to "Reset all dialog warnings" in the preferences menu, and it didn't work.
    Any thoughts???

Rebuilding your iTunes preferences files might get that back for you, Pa.
The technique you need for that is described in the "Remove iTunes Preference files" section of the "User-specific troubleshooting" section of the following document:
[iTunes for Windows Vista or Windows 7: Troubleshooting unexpected quits, freezes, or launch issues|http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1717]
Before starting out on that, set the PC up to view hidden files and folders, as per the description at the beginning of the "User-specific troubleshooting" section.
    *Some heads-ups before proceeding*
Be careful of any custom preferences (EQ, imports, etc) you have set up. Take a note of those, because rebuilding the relevant prefs returns all such prefs to their default settings. You may need to set up any such preferences all over again.
You may also need to reinstall any third-party plugins afterwards.
Things to expect during the pref file rebuild ... moving one set to the desktop (on XP) causes the setup assistant to run during the rebuild. Avoid saying yes if it asks you to import all the media files on your PC into iTunes. Otherwise, you'll end up duplicating all your content in your iTunes library. Moving the other set of prefs to the desktop (on XP) means that you have to agree to the licence agreement again.

I was not warned that audiobooks are a one time download only for those using iCloud to backup. As a result I've lost my audiobook when switching to a new iPhone after the previous phone was damaged.
Will Apple refund me for the audio book?
the irony of this is that the lost audio books is Steve Jobs biography!
Starting to wonder about the benefits of Android :-/

If you haven't been keeping a backup of your downloads (none of your iTunes downloads are included in an iCloud backup, apps, music etc are only redownloadable whilst they remain in your country's store) then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a redownload : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
