Until BT officially announce the removal of the FUP your usage will be capped if you go over your contracted limit.
Remember, you agreed on the terms when electronically signing the contract for the service and you are still tied to the FUP until BT lift the cap.

I wouldn't be too concerned. The most likely cause is that someone is attempting to login and made a mistake in entering their Apple ID and typing yours instead. So, they are getting an error and offer to reset their password. But the email that generates is being sent to the real owner of the Apple ID they are entering, you. If you are really concerned, you can go to the Apple support site and reset your password yourself to be on the safe side.

You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink. This person receiving my email, while on a Mac with Safari is reading their mail through Safari using Horde--our recent discovery. Why they chose to do that in unclear. The last email we sent, however, was miraculously read and received and the attachment was viewed with no problem after we told them our mail was coming from a Mac thriugh Apple Mail. It seems that telling them that our emails were coming from a Mac and using Apple Mail was enough to make them think that perhaps THEY were doing something not quite right. I want to change my user ID email, but can't because it's used as a back up Email, even though I've deleted it as a back up.

I rarely usethis original email, but have a new email I would like to link as my primary. When I try to change it, I get a message stating that this email ID cannot be used because it is being used as a back up email ID. Ok I'm goin to call your old Apple ID #1 your new email you want to use #2 and another email #3.
- go to http://appleid.apple.com
- select manage your apple id
- sign into #2
- edit primary email and change it to #3
- save changes and sign out
Now
- sign into #1
- edit primary
- change it to the email that was used for #2
- save changes
- check #2's email inbox for verification email
- verify account
If done correctly you should be fine, also in terms of #3 that would be an email you have that you dont mind being an apple id that you wont use. Sorry for the funny way of explaining just thought it would be shorter to type out lol.
Note: Once changes have been made you must sign out of features such as iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, iTunes & App Store as they will still display the old Apple ID. Sign in with new email but same password as normal.

When you say seem correct, have you checked in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Account name > Outgoing Mail Server, SMTP and the outgoing server name is correct, then > Primary Server name is correct > Host Name, User Name, redo the Password, Use SSL is OFF or ON according to your provider, may just try it both ways, Server Port, often 25 is the best to use.

Opening in the sidebar is the default for bookmarks that are created via a link or button on a website.
You can check the properties of a bookmark via the right-click context menu in the sidebar (Ctrl+B; Command+B on Mac).
In the Bookmarks Manager (Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks) you can click the More button in the Details pane at the bottom right.
Make sure that "Load this bookmark in the sidebar" is not selected.

Huge amount of backup data on Mac HD even though I use Time Machine on an external HD

When looking at the storage tab on "about this mac", there is a huge (290 Gb) chunk of backup data, even though I use Time Machine to back up on an external hard drive. Does anyone know how to just keep backups restrained to the external hard drive? I have no idea where this 270 Gb chunk of data is even stored on my Mac HD. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

open Terminal in the Utilities folder. Copy and paste "sudo tmutil disablelocal" without the quotes and hit enter. You may be asked to enter your admin password. After that, the "backups" will immediatley be gone.

I have just updated my iphone 3gs to the latest operating system but cannot now update my emails even though it tells me I have new emails in my btinternet account. I have tried re-installing the email account onto my iphone but to no avail.

After some troubleshooting, I decided to order a new battery. I replaced the battery and was then able to get it to restore, however--after I restore it and it comes time to restart the phone, it gets stuck and doesn't turn on.

She does not have apple care and even though she loved this device, she isn't going to buy another iPhone because of all the problems shes had with this one (it's just over a year old).
After you ruined the iPhone with DIY, Apple won't touch it anymore. You should have asked before all these had happened.
I'm an android user myself and I love rooting/flashing new ROMS, so if jailbreaking her phone or doing some kind of super-restore with 3rd party programs might help, I'm all for it-

Sending emails from my laptop using Thunderbird I get the usual "connecting to...., sending to...,message sent" But recipients do not receive post even though my internet provider's sent folder contains the posts. Cox is my email provider and I can send posts from their WebMail site.
There were no changes in configuration.
I should note that I was using a "free" WiFi in Nicaragua.
Also, I receive emails just fine.
Cox says it's my email client but I don't see how it could be you guys isince Cox had had to receive the posts in order to put them in the sent folder.

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you either mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad above the volume switch, or via the taskbar in iOS 6 (double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar), Control Centre in iOS 7 (swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and it's the right-most of the line of 5 icons) .
