Warning icon in Aperture

I have a warning icon (explication point inside of a yellow triangle) show up all of the sudden in Aperture on the thumbnails. When I go to the manage reference files the link is red. I am not creating a book ot ordering prints either. I haven't moved anything or done anything different and this warning just popped up. I have edited the images already and do not want to have to re-import and start all over unless I absolutely have to. Any thoughts?

The badge mean that the referenced image’s master has not been found, and you have to relocate them.

  • Warning icon on Engineer to Relational Model screen

Engineer to Relational Mode l shows warning icon on Attributes, Entities and Logical labels. I don't see the reason.
Do you know what this warning icon is about and how to tackle it?
    Thanks,
    Prakash

    Hi Prakash,
Engineer to Relational Mode l shows warning icon on Attributes, Entities and Logical labels. I don't see the reasonThis mean something is changed. You can click on object and should look at details tab. Entity is composite object and it'll get warning mark also if some of components are changed.
At "compare/copy options" tab you can exclude some properties from compare process if you don't want them to be considered.

  • Server connections not consistent. Folders grayed out with warning icon

For some reason, my mail.app has started showing grayed out folders and accounts with warning icons. Even though I am able to receive/send, mail seems to think the connection is not working. When I click on the icon, it reads "The server error encountered was: The attempt to read data from the server <"
I am using port 26 since my ISP blocks port 25, and I've been doing this with no problems for years...now all of a sudden it's become a problem.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I already used keychain first aid, and that didn't seem to change anything.
My ISP recently went through a server migration which has caused me a lot of problems, which is when this started happening, but they can't seem to solve the issue on their end.
btw, this is happening on multiple computers (both listed below), and I also access my accounts through iPhone.
    Thanks in advance.
    -Ken

To resolve this problem, follow these steps:
On the computer that is running System Center Operations Manager, open the Operations Console.
In the navigation pane, click Administration.
Expand Security, and then click Run As Profiles.
In the Run As Profiles view, double-click Data Warehouse Account.
In the Run As Profile Properties - Data Warehouse Account properties dialog box, click the Run As Accounts tab, and then click New.
In the Run As Account list, click Data Warehouse Action Account.
In the Name list, click the management server that generated the alert.
    Click OK two times.
Follow steps 4 through 8 to assign the appropriate Run As account to the following profiles:
Data Warehouse Configuration Synchronization Reader Account
    Data Warehouse Report Deployment Account
Data Warehouse SQL Server Authentication Account
For each profile, select the Run As account that matches the name of the Run As profile. For example, make the following assignments:
Assign the Data Warehouse Configuration Synchronization Reader Account to the Data Warehouse Configuration Synchronization Reader Account profile.
Assign the Data Warehouse Report Deployment Account to the Data Warehouse Report Deployment Account profile.
Assign the Data Warehouse SQL Server Authentication Account to the Data Warehouse SQL Server Authentication Account profile.
On the management server that generated the alert, restart the OpsMgr Health Service.
In the Operations Manager event log on the management server, verify that event ID 31554 events are logged.

  • Error when installing OpsMgr reporting (Attempted to add warning icon to item OMREPORTING but since this was as NONVITALFAILURE case, we added an Error icon instead.)

    Hi
    I have the following scenario:
    Two Management Server, the first
Management Server has the following functions:
    - Management Server
    - Operations Console
    - Web Console
My second Management Server has the following
    functions:
    - Management Server
    - Operations Console
    A SQL Server with the
    OperationsManager and OperationsManagerDW
    bases.
My second Management Server, I installed the
    service report server SQL,
created the foundation in my remote SQL
    Server (ReportServerOpsMgr and
    ReportServerOpsMgrTempDB). By adding the
    feature of Reporting Server
it starts the installation process, but
at a certain point it gives me the following error message
in the Reporting Server log: Attempted
    to add warning icon to
    OMREPORTING item but since
    this was the NONVITALFAILURE
    case, we added an Error
    icon instead.
    Has anyone been through
this problem and can help me?
    Thanks a lot!
    Wilsterman Fernandes

Seems this is either a permissions issue or the it is a restriction configured for running external stored procedures
I suggest you remove the Reporting portion from the server, then remove the Reporting Service completely. After doing this, reboot the SQL and Management server=>install Reporting again.

  • New Topic: warning icon in Preview Application

while converting a image from a tiff format to a jpg format in the Preview Application there is a yellow triangle with a exclamation point that i understand is a warning and i do see that the file size that was in tiff does change to a smaller, "substantially" smaller file size in jpg format
The OS is a 10.5.8 and all is up to date on the MacBook. I keep the machine off line for web production, except to update misc apps.
Question: What is the warning about, there is not a message with the warning icon.
I have tried to find a documentation for Preview at Apple, nothing exists.
I could not find a topic of discussion for Ordinary Applications so i placed this topic here.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
Your JPEG will be quite a lot smaller than the TIFF file, that's normal. Don't know what the warning is,
maybe it is telling you that changing from TIFF to JPEG is compressing the file and losing quality.

  • I have two facebook accounts availible when I click the facebook icon in aperture it tries to log into the disabled account. It doesn't give me any option to continue making an album for the enabled account. Why?

I have two facebook accounts availible when I click the facebook icon in aperture it tries to log into the disabled account. It doesn't give me any option to continue making an album for the enabled account. Why?

I suppose I could delete it, but the whole point of multiple accounts is so I can post to either. One is mine, one is my wife's. If it is not enabled why would I need to log into it to post to my own account. The system has no problem associating existing albums with my account, I is only failing to allow me to choose only my account to create an new one. It is clearly designed to handle multiple accounts, but seems to have a bug directing it to ask for the password for a disabled account instead of allowing selection of and posting to the enabled one.

  • TS2289 A yellow warning icon appears at the start of each clip. What does that mean?

    Hi ,
I have just discovered Imovie and started to download movies from Iphoto to imovie.
Everything went well untill this morning when i noticed a yellow warning icon at the start of every clip, and now the clips will not play.
How can I diagnose the issue. Is it a lack of space on the hard drive.?

The yellow warning sign usually means that iMovie cannot find the Event clips that the project needs to do the movie. This can happen if the Event was on an external drive and the external drive is no longer attached.
It can also happened if the Event clips have been moved, renamed, or deleted.

  • Shadow & clipping warning icon symbol colors

Hi: Using Photoshop cs3 and camera raw 4.3 with win Xp. When I go to the curves icon and start adjusting the shadows, highlights, darks, and lights sliders I noticed that the shadow and highlight warning icons displayed in the upper left and right corners of the histogram box change various colors as you move the various sliders. It changes from white to green to blue then yellow then black. Do these colors of the icons mean anything? If so what do they mean and what are their purpose? It seems that I get the best results when the icon colors are black. Thanks in advance... Alan

Do you mean the triangles at either end of the histogram in the ACR dialog box?

  • Anyone Seen This? Warning Icon Preventing Export

Just went to export my timeline and I keep getting this "Quicktime Error -50". I went back and looked at the project and I guess at some point yesterday this little warning icon appeared in the Event Library, check out this screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/cmvcjqsN0O9K
Anyone else ran into this problem? I've got 3 hours until this needs to be up on Youtube... feeling the pressure... Thanks for any feedback! - Ben

QuickTime error -50 often means that something on your timeline is corrupt or incompatible with FCPX.
    From Crash Analyzer:
    -50 (QuickTime)
This error occurs when there is corrupt or invalid media in your timeline. Check that the codec used by the file is recommended for use in your editing application.
    Suggested Actions
If your sequence codec is set to a long-GOP codec such as HDV, H.264, XDCAM, AVCHD or MPEG-2, set your sequence codec to ProRes.
For best results, convert all long-GOP media to ProRes.
Make sure all images are RGB, not CMYK.
Ensure all images are less than 4000 pixels in width and height.
Use Corrupt Clip Finder to locate the corrupt clip.
After the corrupt file is located, use QT Repair or Media Salvage to fix it.
Make sure your files do not have Digital Rights Management (DRM) that prevent them being played outside of their intended application. Some files purchased from the iTunes Store will have DRM.
Make sure you are using AIFF or WAV audio files.

  • Warning icon when ordering photo book

Hi. I've received good advice before from this discussion board, so i'm hoping for some more again Anyway, I assembled a 100-page hard cover photo album and when i choose to buy the book, an warning icon popped up saying that 1 or more of the photos may not print out with good quality because of the style i chose. Now, I do have some very old black and white photos in this book, but i sent away a test book of some of them and they came back great. Since this will be a 140$ book, I want to make sure i'm not stuck with a book filled with low quality shots. What should I do in a case like this?
    Jay

Do any of the photos have a yellow caution tag next to them? That's an indication that the resolution of the photos used is lower than Apple's recommended minimum. Are the B/W photos in the Grayscale format or jpg? If they are grayscale you should convert them to JPG, adjust the contrast and brightness as needed and try again. Usually B/W photos in grayscale show as negatives in iPhoto so that may not be the issue here. But check anyway.

  • TS1135 Warning icon confusion!

The only place I'm getting the warning icon is right near the page number on the very first page of my photo album.  It's already set on the smallest font size.  I tried going to "book settings" to remove the page numbers altogether, but they remained!  Please help, if possible....  I'm in a time crunch on this order!!!

Thanks, Larry -- I had already looked there, but it didn't help!  What I finally did was simply delete everything I had on that text page and started from scratch.  It worked!  The warning icon was gone, and I was able to purchase the book!

  • Yellow warning Icon

I shot 8000 photos during a visit to New Zealand and have been rating them over the last few weeks. When I launch Aperture after a session of rating and delating photos with a yellow triangle and little pointer over them are in the viewer. When I try to make an adjustment to the photos with the yellow icon the HUD has a message "image not found." I check some other projects and found all of the images had the yellow icon with the arrow pointing to the left. What happened and how can I get my photos back.

The arrow symbol means that they are referenced images (stored outside the Library). The warning triangle means that the referenced images cannot be found. Have you been moving or renaming any files recently?
Hopefully you can fix it by selecting the images and going to File>Manage Referenced Images... and pointing Aperture towards the new location of the files.

  • Warning when launching Aperture

    Hi,
I recently updated to Mavericks, and Aperture and Iphoto got updated too.
I opened my library with Iphoto and everything works fine.
I tried to open the same library with Aperture and got this Warning: Repeated crashes can indicate an inconsistency in the database, you should run Repair or Rebuild on your library.
I clicked repair and Repair Permissions but still getting the same Warning. Then I tried to Repair Database but got a new message: This library has been opened with a newer version of Aperture. Repairing the library using this version of Aperture may remove data supported only in newer versions of Aperture.
I havent got any further. I dont want to do anything incorrect and mess up my library.
BTW if i click "cancel", Aperture opens correctly and everything works ok.
Im working like that but the warning message every time I open the app makes me nervous.
    Any suggestions??
Thanks in advance for your time and help
    Juan

    juan,
what are your current versions of Aperture and iPhoto?
    and of your Aperture Library?
You can see the versions in the Finder in Column view:
For the libraries look at the "kind" field and the version number:
If the "Kind" is "Photo Library", the update to the most recent versionhas to be done with iPhoto first.
