Warning Message in Console Icon

I just moved from PC to Mac.  I have a new imac and I want to transfer my files to my mac.  I have a maxter one touch 4 mini drive with all my documents, pictures and music.  It is a locked drive unfortunately.  I tried to connect it to my mac and got a warning message on my console icon.  When I click on that I have a bunch of files see below.  I am not sure what to do,  Should I delete them or are they usable.  I need some direction as to what if anything I can do.  If I need to delete please tell me how to do it.  Thank you in advance for any help.
Regards
Gary

To be honest I think you're over thinking the matter and making your transition more difficult than need be. IMHO this is natural coming from the Windows world where managing your system is difficult, not so with OS X. Take some look over the URL's and study them and begin playing with the system and you'll see how easy it really is.

Althought they do no hinder me from successfully running the project. these messages are annoying. I have seen many articles on the web but could nowhere find the exact schemas for that the above elements that I could add to the  DotNetConfig.xsd file.
Could somebody give me an idea how to create xsds for the elements above and include in the dotnetConfig.xsd.
I understand what needs to be done but not sure of the exact way to do it.
    Thanks,

You don't need to modify the dotnetconfig.xsd.  All you need to do is generate an XSD for your section and let VS know where it is at.
    1) Create your XSD using any of the various tools available or by hand.
    2) Copy your XSD into the <VSDir>\Xml\Schemas directory.
    3) Create a catalog file for your schema.
    4) Restart VS and it'll load the XSD and give you Intellisense.
Here's the MSDN documentation for it: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms255821.aspx

  • I get 3 messages in console every 10 seconds

A few days ago, i noticed a process running in my task manager. Something along the lines of, "Seagate data manager". The reason it was there is because my friend installed some software that would let us use his Seagate hard drive (it would not work on a mac without it). I was annoyed that this process was running on start-up years later when i did not need it any more. I searched though my Mac and found no apparent way to uninstall it, so i decided to find every file that had the word "seagate" and delete it. Probably not my brightest moment, i know, and technically it worked. I dont see the process running any more, but now i am seeing the fruits of my stupidity as i get these 3 messages in console every 10 seconds from what i think is my Mac trying to launch the process, but cant find the files that i deleted. I deleted 2 files. I cant remember exactly what they were called or where they were from. I think one was from "Macintosh HD > Library" and the other was from "Macintosh HD > System". I know that one of the files had the icon that looks like a little white Lego piece (see attachment called "icon").
Is there anything i can do?
    here is what console says:
    4/18/12 9:09:01 AM

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Third-party system modifications are a common cause of usability problems. By a “system modification,” I mean software that affects the operation of other software — potentially for the worse. The following procedure will help identify which such modifications you've installed. Don’t be alarmed by the complexity of these instructions — they’re easy to carry out and won’t change anything on your Mac.
These steps are to be taken while booted in “normal” mode, not in safe mode. If you’re now running in safe mode, reboot as usual before continuing.
Below are instructions to enter some UNIX shell commands. The commands are harmless, but they must be entered exactly as given in order to work. If you have doubts about the safety of the procedure suggested here, search this site for other discussions in which it’s been followed without any report of ill effects.
Some of the commands will line-wrap or scroll in your browser, but each one is really just a single line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, and you can then either copy or drag it. The headings “Step 1” and so on are not part of the commands.
Note: If you have more than one user account, Step 2 must be taken as an administrator. Ordinarily that would be the user created automatically when you booted the system for the first time. The other steps should be taken as the user who has the problem, if different. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this paragraph doesn’t apply.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ If you’re running Mac OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the page that opens.
When you launch Terminal, a text window will open with a line already in it, ending either in a dollar sign (“$”) or a percent sign (“%”). If you get the percent sign, enter “sh” (without the quotes) and press return. You should then get a new line ending in a dollar sign.
    Step 1
Copy or drag — do not type — the line below into the Terminal window, then press return:
    kextstat -kl | awk '!/com\.apple/{printf "%s %s\n", $6, $7}'
Post the lines of output (if any) that appear below what you just entered (the text, please, not a screenshot.)
    Step 2
    Repeat with this line:
    sudo launchctl list | sed 1d | awk '!/0x|com\.(apple|openssh|vix)|edu\.mit|org\.(amavis|apache|cups|isc|ntp|postfix|x)/{print $3}'
This time, you'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. You don't need to post the warning.
    Step 3
    launchctl list | sed 1d | awk '!/0x|com\.apple|edu\.mit|org\.(x|openbsd)/{print $3}'
    Step 4
    ls -1A /e*/mach* {,/}L*/{Ad,Compon,Ex,Fram,In,Keyb,La,Mail/Bu,P*P,Priv,Qu,Scripti,Servi,Spo,Sta}* L*/Fonts 2> /dev/null
Important: If you synchronize with a MobileMe account, your me.com email address may appear in the output of the above command. If so, anonymize it before posting.
    Step 5
osascript -e 'tell application "System Events" to get name of every login item' 2> /dev/null
Remember, steps 1-5 are all drag-and-drop or copy-and-paste, whichever you prefer — no typing, except your password. Also remember to post the output.
    You can then quit Terminal.

  • How to display warning message in PL/SQL?

    Hi,
I would like to know how to display a warning message in PL/SQL?
    Thanks and Regards,
    SC

PL/SQL is not an interactive programming language, so there is generally no place to print any sort of message, no place to prompt the user for input, etc.
A SQL*Plus script can use the SQL*Plus client as a very basic way of interacting with users using the PROMPT command to accept input and using DBMS_OUTPUT to print messages to the console (assuming the script does a SET SERVEROUTPUT ON to enable printing the results). Other applications may have similar sorts of scripting possibilities, generally based on a subset of the commands SQL*Plus supports.

    Hello
    >>Warning: MD5 encryption will be deprecated soon. Please move to SHA256 encryption
SHA256 encryption is stronger as compared to the MD5 encryption and hence, MD5 encryption will soon be deprecated. This warning message is reported during bootup when 'enable secret' and local username is configured using MD5 encryption. You can avoid these messages by moving to SHA256 encryption.
    >>Warning: This CLI will be deprecated soon. Please move to radius server CLI.
This seems to be coming from the config command "radius-server host...". This is a result of the IOS preparing for the new addressing schema " IPV6' .
    >>Apr 11 14:44:34.619: %IFMGR-7-NO_IFINDEX_FILE: Unable to open nvram:/ifIndex-table No such file or directory
The system found no saved ifIndex information, and ifIndex has not persisted across reboots. The ifIndices will be reassigned.
This is expected when the router does not have "snmp-server ifindex persist" configured. When the same command is configured and saved to NVRAM, it should not be reported again on the next reboot.

  • Supressing warning messages

    Hi,
Whenever we create a condition, warning messages appear while running the query like ' condition created on..'
How to supress those warning messages.
    Regards

    Hi,
Go to RSRT t.code , give your query name and there will be icon called 'message' in the top, click over there and then click 'others' button in left hand side and you will find a warning message with message no in righthand side ..
You can checkmark the box which you doesn't want to display in the query and save it.
    Regards,
    Siva.

  • Help finding info on a Warning message

    Hi,
I'm getting a warning output message on my server console output window.
    I've searched around the
Weblogic documentation to see if I can find out what specifically this
message means (or even to find
a list of error/warning messages), but have been unsuccessful finding
    anything.
Does anyone have any idea what this particular warning means, and if so, the
    steps needed to resolve it?
    <Sep 24, 2001 11:11:44 AM PDT> <Warning> <HTTP>
<WebAppServletContext(402977,oag,/oag) One of the getParameter family of
methods called after reading from the ServletInputStream, not merging post

    I'm running WL6.1, SP1 under W2K.
    Thanks,

  • My question is around the console icon in my doc with the systems log queries. I had never seen that until recently, and wanted to know who is doing the searching on it, or does the computer do this automatically?

Console icon: What is it? What is it's purpose?

    Hello dinakimoo,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Console is a system utility application that can view log messages.  If you'd like to learn more about Console, linked below is the Console help.

I just bought aperture and downloaded it from app store. when I try to open the app I get a warning message that says: There was an error opening the database for the library “~/Pictures/Aperture Library.aplibrary”. The only option the is to quit. What is wrong?

    Hi,
not sure what the problem might be, but you can try the following:
While pressing ALT+CMD on the keyboard, click on the Aperture icon in the dock: Aperture then opens in a special "recovery mode", and you're prompted to choose what kind of repair you need: Repair Permissions / Repair Database / Rebuild Database
Considering the situation, I'd recommend you to try "the "Repair Permissions" option first.
If that isn't enough (and it may well be the case), then go straight for the "Rebuild Database" option; it's a non-destructive opration anyway, but since you've just installed Aperture you shouldn't have anything valuable in the default library...
NOTE: if you do have some pictures in the library, instead, do a backup first! Time Machine is your friend
Another option would be to launch Aperture while keeping only the ALT (option) key pressed: Aperture will ask you what library you want to open, or you can choose to create a new one from scratch.
    Good luck!
    Corrado

  • A warning message pops and disappears very quickly! Why?

Hey guys, im using a mac book pro 10.8.3. i7, 8gb ram, 2.3Ghz. I use this laptop mainly for producing music on a software called Ableton Live. I also have an audio interface connected to my laptop to avoid latency. The audio inter face is called 'Traktor Audio 2'.
Recently when im on the laptop a warning message pops and goes aways to quickly to even read what it is. Also if there is any sort of connection, my logitech mouse has also started to act weird. Whenever i click a single time it double clicks sometimes and sometimes it is normal. i don't understand why either. i did some research on this topic and people said to open up your console and check. I dont understand what it means so i've attached a pic down here. Please help me solve this problem!

If the built-in firewall is active, deactivate it and see whether the alerts stop.
