To be honest I think you're over thinking the matter and making your transition more difficult than need be. IMHO this is natural coming from the Windows world where managing your system is difficult, not so with OS X. Take some look over the URL's and study them and begin playing with the system and you'll see how easy it really is.

    How can I make a warning message when a user is trying to logoff windows while an application made with labview is still running ?
    I want to pop something that ask the user if he's sure he wants to quit.
    thanks

    I was working on just this issue today. Here is a vi (in 7.1.1) and an exe showing it. The exe has been renamed to a .llb to get around some attachment restrictions, so rename it (after scanning with you antivirus of choice!).  I can make it in 8.0 if needed (don't currently have 8.2 installed)

    Dear,
    Yeah system shoots this warning because system is unable to get the currency key for the amount in the report, may be because the primary table is unable to provide this information.....better take currency key by joing any other header table....

  • Strange FTP log entry - FTP LOGIN REFUSED: getpwnam returned null

    At the systems log file, I get entries like the following since a few days:
    FTP LOGIN REFUSED: getpwnam returned null
    Over and over again (three or four per second). System performance is not harmed, anything working in normal parameters.
    There are several xftpd processes there causing this behavior - stopping ftp, killing them, restarting ftp solves the problem - and after one day, same situation.
    I searched this forum, but haven't found much information. Others seemed to have the problem as well, but either got no reply or have decided to use a different ftp server instead of Apple's one (which is no choice for us).
    Any advise would be appreciated.

    Others seemed to have the problem as well, but either got no reply or have decided to use a different ftp server instead of Apple's one
    Using a different server won't make any difference.
    Your machine is being attacked by a hacker trying to get into your FTP server.
    Don't be surprised by this. Just about any service that is open to the public internet is going to get probed at some point. All that's happened here is that some bot has detected a FTP server running on your machine and is trying a number of username/password combinations to see if they can log in.
    Whether they will or not depends on the number of accounts you have on your server and the strength of their passwords.
    Having a different FTP server isn't going to make a difference because the bot doesn't (yet) know what server you're running, it's just opening FTP connections and trying to log in. Any FTP server would respond in the same way.
    The solution is to decide whether you really need FTP exposed to the outside world. It really isn't a secure protocol and can be the vector through which other hacks occur. If you don't need it I'd turn it off. If you do need it, consider some way of limiting access (e.g. make it available to LAN clients only and not to the whole internet, or use a VPN.

    I think it could be related to the incorrect Oracle configuration as described in the JBoss EAP Tx admin guide below: (refer section 7.4/7.4.1)
    https://access.redhat.com/site/documentation/en-US/JBoss_Enterprise_Application_Platform/5/html-single/Transactions_Administrators_Guide/index.html#idm46683496
    Try the mentioned solution by ensuring that the Oracle user has appropriate access to the mentioned tables in order to accomplish the XA recovery.

  • While doing comparison using SDK received a warning message

    Hi,
    While doing comparison using Adobe Acrobat 8 SDK - receiving a warning message "The Organizer database is damaged and will be reset the next time Acrobat is launched. Quit the application and close any currently opened web browsers."
    Can any body help me how to rectify the above problem?
    Thanks,
    Sudhakar
    Note: I have reparied the Acrobat professional but still the problem not solved.

    Dear Chaka,
    If my understanding is correct normally even after setting the TECO status set,you can do confirmations,and you can issue
    components against the order.
    After technical completion you can still make postings for the order. For instance, material withdrawal or a confirmation can be
    posted if they were previously forgotten.
    Check this link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelperp60_sp/helpdata/en/a3/664a3397e311d1b5a70000e8359890/content.htm_
    But generally in order to block the confirmation or goods movement for a TECO status set order,we can either an user Exit or
    else block it using the settings in BS22- System status.
    But you check this BADI - WORKORDER_UPDATE using the method at save or else withi this REORG_STATUS_ACT_CHECK
    Check and revert

  • Application generated warning messages

    I seem to be constantly vexed by integrating warning messages into my applications. I am fine with javascript and am a former PHP (LAMP) developer so I think I just have to get the proper architecture for warning messages through my head and them I will be all set. The built in validation functionality is great but I am looking for information about the traditional warning messages like 'that value seems to high, are you sure' which would then allow the user to click 'OK' and save the records.
    Sometimes this involves going against the database to generate the warning and that is the part that I am struggling with. Could someone point me toward a good post, blog, or any resource that has a good overview of the best way to accomplish this.
    TIA.

    JSF sees and merges all configuration files listed below:
    (1) WEB-INF/faces-config.xml
    (2) some xml files you specify using the context-param element of WEB-INF/web.xml
    (3) META-INF/faces-config.xml files included in all jar files
    Check the all configuration files and see whether they have doubled elements
    and merge them.

  • A very new and strange warning message from my iPhone

    I am getting a very new and strange warning message on my iPhone. The phone will repeatedly - even when sitting idle - flash a message that states, "This accessory not made to work with iPhone. Would you like to turn on Airplane Mode to reduce audio interference ... you will not be able to make or receive calls?"
    This message started to flash up on my iPhone after I installed Leopard yesterday evening (11/15/07). I just updated my iTunes software today so I have iTunes 7.5 (19) and my iPhone software version is 1.1.2. Finally, I am not trying to hack my iPhone since I ain't smart enough to do so and, even if I were, I wouldn't want to have a dead phone on my hands.
    Any suggestions or thoughts? Thanks.

    Charles
    I think my first instinct would be to try a Reset of the iPhone, if that doesn't improve things then try a Restore from within iTunes BUT.....
    I would also wait awhile and see in anyone else weighs in with other suggestions first.
    Good luck

  • Warning message into Application log of Service request

    Hi Experts,
    I have a requirement where I am using Event handlers(CRMV_EVENT) to redetermine partners of a service request whenever certain values are changed in the transaction CRMD_ORDER.
    Partners will be retrieved from a custom table.
    In any circumstances, if the partners cannot be determined then we need to push a WARNING message stating that "Partners can not be determined, pls maintain the values in the custom table'.
    For this purpose I am using the function module CRM_MESSAGE_COLLECT with the following parameters, but still I am not able to see the same into the Application log of the Service request that is going to be created.
    CALL FUNCTION 'CRM_MESSAGE_COLLECT'
      EXPORTING
        iv_caller_name         = 'ORDERADM_H'
        IV_REF_OBJECT          = iv_header_guid
        IV_REF_KIND            = 'A'
       IV_LOGICAL_KEY         = '0001'
        IV_MSGNO               = '001'
        IV_MSGID               = 'ZSP'
        IV_MSGTY               = 'W'
      IV_MSGV1               = SY-MSGV1
      IV_MSGV2               = SY-MSGV2
      IV_MSGV3               = SY-MSGV3
      IV_MSGV4               = SY-MSGV4
        IV_MSGLEVEL            = '1'

    MESSAGE ID SY-MSGID TYPE SY-MSGTY NUMBER SY-MSGNO
             WITH SY-MSGV1 SY-MSGV2 SY-MSGV3 SY-MSGV4.
    ENDIF.
    Do I missed in passing of any additional parameters?
    Can any one of you have encountered the same problem and solved this, pls through some light on me too(if possible with block of code).
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    Here is the block of code that I used to push a message in to Application log.
    Push your message into a variable called dummy and then call the below mentioned function module.
    DATA:        lv_dummy(254)    TYPE  c,            "#EC NEEDED
              MESSAGE w052(sppf_media) WITH text-001
                                            text-002
                                        INTO lv_dummy.
              CALL FUNCTION 'CRM_MESSAGE_COLLECT'
                EXPORTING
                  iv_caller_name = 'ORDERADM_H'
                  iv_ref_object  = iv_header_guid
                  iv_ref_kind    = lc_ref_kind_a
                  iv_msgno       = sy-msgno
                  iv_msgid       = sy-msgid
                  iv_msgty       = sy-msgty
                  iv_cumulate    = lc_x
                IMPORTING
                  ev_msgty       = lv_msgtyp
                  es_msg_handle  = gv_msghandle
                EXCEPTIONS
                  not_found      = 1
                  appl_log_error = 2
                  OTHERS         = 3.
              IF sy-subrc <> 0.
                MESSAGE ID sy-msgid TYPE sy-msgty NUMBER sy-msgno
                       WITH sy-msgv1 sy-msgv2 sy-msgv3 sy-msgv4.
              ENDIF.
            ENDIF.
    Hope this helps to resolve your issue.
    Regards,
    Usha.
