Warning message in 'Writeback Report'
Hi,
I have to enable writeback on a report and to prompt a warning message to user before submitting the changes.
I am fine with enabling the writeback on the report and update the changes through writeback XML.
But, I am not sure of this 'Warning Message' in a separate window as prompt to confirm the changes made by user before submitting.
Can somebody please help me if you have implemented this?
Thanks,
Viswanath
Dear Madhu,
You are not using LS_HEADER statically that you have defined in the program. You will get a warning message since you have defined a field that you have not referenced statically.
Are you using this field dynamically? You can delete/comment the code if you are not using it statically and dynamically.

Warning message in BW Report through Portal
Friends,
I really need your help to remove the waring message.
For the purpose of changing the description on the Selection screen from Cost Cetnters (Authorised Values) to Funds Centers I had changed the ZCCTRATI variable description to Funds Centers
Issue:
When we open the old report we see the following information message.
" Value if variable ZCCTRAT1 is automatically converted
I did go to TC RSRT as of Dinesh,Vijay advice ,Just want to know that what message i need to Click .because i could nt find the relevant message
Can u help me how to remove this ?Hi Manohar,
Edit to add: Here I assume you have a Web Application Designer (WAD) report.
You can suppress system and warning messages in WAD. Try this and see if it helps.
- Go to your WAD report
- In the top part of the properties window there is a drop down box. Open this box and select the top level entry there. This should be the name of your report.
- Click Web Item
- Check the following two checkboxes: "Do not Display System Messages" and "Do not Display Warnings".
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Petter

Warning message in a report throwing out completely
Hi All,
I have areport in which a warning message is getting generated inside standard fm .
Its coming inside a FM which inturn is turn call some other FM and so on ,so its not throwing any exception to catch it.
When the warning message is coming the report is completely throwing us out,its not continuing if you press enter after warning.
The FM which I am calling in the start of selection event of my program is RMXM951_RECIPE_TRANSFORM_START.
This FM inturn is calling FM MRTRS965_BOM_GENERATION in this we after some points its calling the PERFORM create_bom.
The warning message is coming inside this perform.
The report is actaully written to convert multiple general receipes to master recepies at a time.
We have standard SAP transaction to acheive this but it does one at a time and not multiple. However the stadard program being module pool the transaction is continuing after the warning message once we press the enter key.
So kinldy let me know how to proceed on this.
Thanks you all very much in advance.
Regards,
Kishore.Hi Kishore
debugg your program and find out the location where this warning message is coming
and change the code for your warning message.
Like what i did in my one of the program for the same reason.
it was an error message on some validation and it was also throwing me out of the program.
I write:
message 'Invalid Entry' type 'S' display like 'E'.
leave to list processing.
this code displayed my success message like an error message and keep me on the same screen so that I canenter the correct values.
So I think you need to do some thing like that.
Thanks

Sun server - file not found warning message - send-file reports: HTTP4142

warning (14280): for host 127.0.0.1 trying to GET /vt/css/icefaces_ie.css, send-file reports: HTTP4142: can't find C:/Program Files/Sun/WebServer7/https-AC7440R877W6X.com/web-app/AC7440R877W6X.com/vt/css/icefaces_ie.css (File not found).
I m running JSF framework icefaces implememntationHi:
After some days and several test I discover the solution.
I'm using Unicodes in the messages text (like \u00e9, \u00e1) and due to a typing mistake, in just a word the sequence \u00es appears instead of \u00e9.
It seems \u00es is not a valid Unicode code and that was the cause of this particular error.
I think this kind of message error must change depending which web server is used.
As i said, i'm using the embedded oc4j server.

How to Suppress a warning message in Reports
Hi All,
I am getting REP-32751: Warning: Some text segments are missing warning message when ever i open a report and also while run the report in the browser. I am not able to find the missing text segments. Is there any way to suppress this warning message in oracle reports 10g?. Please let me know.
Regards,
Prasad.Just was curious and was in Metalink anyways and looked up your Error:
>
Another workaround: open the report under the desired NLS_LANG, and OK all the warning messages. Once the report is opened, save it (under a different name). This will fill out missing text segments with blanks, which is OK because these strings never appear in the report anyway (theyshould have been deleted...) -

Mod_plsql warning message in apache logs
The following warning message has been reported in error logs and it relates to wwv_flow package :-
[Thu Oct 19 16:08:47 2006] [warn] mod_plsql: /pls/htmldb/wwv_flow.accept had to be described for execution. Refer to the PL/SQL GateWay documentation on how to avoid this
I have checked the doco at http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/A97335_01/apps.102/a90099/apptroub.htm#634288
Section B.7.1 is the relevant section and I think its to do with mod_plsql unable to find out if the parameters to wwv_flow.accept are scalar or array and hence having to first do a describe everytime.
Do I need to do something about it or just ignore it ?
tks
VishalThanks Scott.
I have asked the client how they have configured this.
If its ON should they turn it OFF ?
What implications would it have then ?

Warning Msg: Character Mode report is being opened as a Bit-mapped report
Hi All,
I am opening a Oracle Standard Report in Oracle Apps "INVISMMX", while opening it shows the below warning message:
"Character Mode report is being opened as a Bit-mapped report"
What is the reason for this?
How can I open this report in ASCII mode itself?
Thanks,
GowriI believe Oracle Reports by default will open a report as a bit-mapped report. You can change the poperties of the report to make it a character mode report by:
1. If this is a new report, in the Object Navigator, click the Reports node,
then click in the toolbar.
2. Double-click the properties icon next to the report node to display
the Property Palette.
3. Under the report node, set the width and height properties as desired:
for example, 11 (or 15) width x 8.5 height for landscape or 8.5 width x 11
(or 15) height for portrait.
4. Under the Character Mode node:
a. Set Design In Character Units to Yes.
b. Set the report width and report height to the appropriate
character-mode dimensions for the report, such as, 132 (or 180)
width x 66 height for landscape or 102 width x 85 (or 116) height
for portrait.
5. In the Object Navigator, expand the Data Model node, then the System
Parameters node.
6. Double-click the MODE properties icon to display the Property Palette.
7. Under the Parameter node, set the initial value for property to Character.
8. In the Object Navigator, double-click on the Layout Model node icon.
9. In the Layout Model view, choose FormatLayout OptionsRulers to display
the Ruler Settings dialog box.
10. Set Units to Character Cells and Number of Snap Points Per Grid Spacing
to 1. Click OK.
11. Click View in the menu bar and make sure that Snap to Grid is checked.
12. Choose Tools Preferences to display the Preferences dialog box.
13. On the Preferences page, set Horizontal Interfield to 1 and Vertical
Interfield to 0. Click OK.
14. Choose Format Font, and select the font, style, and size that most
closely approximates the character-mode font (such as, Courier,
Regular, 12 point). -

Report on Warning Message in sales order
I have configured in OVA8 such that it only gives a "Warning Message" and does not block the sales order.
Because these sales order are not blocked they don't need to be released. I need a report on list of sales order where warning messages have appeared for credit limit exceed.
As its only warning message and not erro, it needn't be released so VKM1, VKM2 & VKM4 doesn't solve the issue.Hi,
It is not possible to get the report as you required in Std. System considers the sales order if the warning msg appears as same as a normal SO without any warnign msg. In status level (table VBUK) there won't be any change.
If you need it deliberately, then you shall take help from ABAp to develop a Z-report that too you need to use some sales order level user exit to capture the warning message(Message no. V1152) generated sales order no.s and then you can use the same info in Z-report.
Hope this helps..
